Hello

I have this in natal and progressed with someone and sometimes I hate that person and sometimes I love them...

It's quite gruesome anyone has had that in the past and if so feels like sharing.

venus in progressed and mars in natal...
I don't think I ever lusted and hated at the same time yet was still feeling passionately about someone.

I feel bipolar whenever i am in contact though lately i have renowned with control over myself sooooo it's not as bad as it used to be.

We had a weird relationship. He was very competitive with me.

I think the mars person is the more emotionally ambivalent person, but the venus person picks up on it and it messes with their emotions. Not a fun pairing.

kismet are you mars or venus there??

Lonake - It's quite something, i'm usually more into the venus sun trines (i enjoy being the venus there).

But the love hate thing keeps coming back for more hurt and i always gets pulled back into the game.

I have mars in libra opposing venus in aries in natal very...annoying.

Diana - yeah exactly that guy came back to ask me about my love life and keeps pushing to get answers. He wants to know which one of us probably has the nicest time away from the other. It's ridiculous he hurt me so much. He's such a mean man.

Kismet - wow I did not have sex with that man though I dumped him before he got to have it but I'm sure it would have been good.

Diana - he is competitive especially since he knows i am seeing another man and giving to that guy what he did not get (cf sex).

Kismet, I hope for the same effect. I'm the Mars person but the Venus person also has Mars square Venus in their natal as well, and we both have Aries Mars, so the sexual energy is present, but I always feel this sexual friction with this person, because I really just want all or nothing. And we still haven't had sex yet, I feel like once we do, this sexual friction will go away, uh, but I have to wait till the end of August!

I've had the double whammy of Mars sq Venus and, oh my. Extremely sexual relationship. Lots of tension as well, we kind of wanted to strangle each other at times (but went on in mars/venus fashion otherwise lol). However, we talked very easily and laughed a lot(very good Mercury and Jupiter aspects) ...so, I had no problems at all with this aspect, even at a DW which accentuates it.

Overall I think it's pretty hot.
I also think the opposition is hot.

me*other
venus sq mars (4 deg)
mars sex venus (0 deg)
juno conjuct venus (2 deg)

moon conjuct pluto (7 deg)

all these aspects make it v complicated....but i agree that there is physical tension...it makes it obsessive...and it is sometimes disappointing cause it seems as if e thing is just physical

I agree, Venus-Mars-square can make for very sizzling chemistry, yet, probably also some tension and flaring tempers.

But I think it`s important to see if others planets connect to that square, too.
An isolated square might have that pure effect of chemistry, sexual attraction and tension, but other planets aspecing it will modify this.

For example:
A Venus-mars-square that is aspected by Saturn will be felt and expressed differently than one with an aspect to Pluto.

House placements could also play a role.

I once experienced the Venus-Mars square of a boy`s Pisces-Venus to my Sagittarius Mars, with his Venus in my 3rd house; and his Venus was also squaring my Neptune.

It was not so much sizzling, but a dreamy curiousness, mixed with confused tension, misunderstandings, very frustrating on my side, and yet there was a definite pull there for me.

Now, another example, from my celebrity list:
His Mars conjuncts my Pluto exactly in my 10th house (his 5th house), and both square my Venus in my 1st house (his 8th house), and oppose his Moon / NN and my IC in my 4th house (his 11th house).

Of COURSE I noticed him. i would be actually curious how it would feel if I met someone with that aspect to my Venus; I bet it would be very different from the first example.

Actually I once met a guy, who also had his Mars conjunct my Pluto and squaring my Venus, while my Venus was conjunct his ERos and Venus and squaring my Pluto.
The tension in the air was nearly unbearable; really a physical feeling of electricity. And no it never led to anything. But I was almost unable to breathe in his physical proximity, coupled with a strong urge to run far away. lol

Hello

That guy is sort of an ex .... when i couldn't let him go he played with me and now he's like really trying to reform some sort of bond.

He really gets to me because at the time I was seeing someone else but well I ended it.

So in natal he is leo sun with aries rising.
My venus conjuncts his rising sign.
His venus in cancer squares my venus
His sun squares my sun... his saturn squares my sun.
My saturn sextiles his sun (i am the nicest one out there no j/k).
my Mars squares his venus in cancer...
My mars conjuncts his descendant.
Natally he has his rising sign square his venus square...his pluto...opposing his rising sign.

His sun conjuncts his saturn (talk about a problem man).

Oh well I replied something verrry shocking (uranus powerrrrr make up - sorry couldn't help it) and now he's keeping away so that's good.

I can't believe how i told him to leave me alone and he wouldn't do it.

I had this aspect with my First Love. It's INTENSELY PASSIONATE. You're disgusted with them one moment, but in a split second the two of you can be on the ground biting each other's necks. Crazy and totally out of control. It does create grounds for lots of fights, however, unless you have other "nice" aspects to soften it.

From what i've experienced, the Venus person becomes emotionally invested VERY, VERY quickly. Not to say that the Mars person doesn't feel anything, but the ball is definitely always in their court.

I was Venus (in Cancer, his Mars in Libra).

Good luck.

I am loving this conversation! I share a Venus/Mars square in synastry with my mate, and all I can say is that it is the most loving, emotionally fulfilling, spiritually invigorating, affectionate and compassionate, and FRICKIN' HOT, relationship I have ever known...and I've had my share! His Mars (Pisces) is square to my Venus (Gemini), but as much as I believe our amazing chemistry comes from our Venus/Mars Square, who's to say, because we have some other really steamy, emotionally, and spiritually profound aspects going on as well...Like My Moon Conjunct his Ascendant; Sun Sextile Venus (his Venus) & Moon Sextile Mars (his Mars); both of our Moons positively aspecting our Plutos (one being the trine); Double Whammy with both of our Suns Opposite each other's Plutos; Moons in Trine aspect to each other (his in Cap and mine in Taurus); Moon Trine Saturn; both of our Plutos in soft aspect to one another's Venuses (one is a trine); both of our Moons aspecting each other's Venuses; each of our Mercs AND our Suns aspect one another's Jupiters; both of our Suns trine our Neptunes, and both of our Moons aspect each other's Neptunes (one a sextile); both of our Suns aspect each other's Saturns (one a sextile); and (I will stop after this), our Jupiters are in Trine and Sextile to our Saturns, respectively.

Of course, we have our share of "negative," or hard, aspects, which in astrological literature could be deemed as foreboding...such as some of what is described here about Venus square to Mars...but I think, ultimately, aspects present psychological challenges, and what turns me on, may be sheer psychological torment to the next person...so it must be individualized, and never generalized, in my mind. I have a natal stellium of Venus, Mars and Saturn, so I think that I am very familiar with the more raw energy that is often presented with hard aspects between Venus/Mars inside of relationships, because I deal with it individually, in the realm of my personal hopes, aspirations, passions, and goals.

At the end of the day, aspects demonstrate the expression of energy, and we have a conscious choice how to express it, especially inside of relationships - for good or ill, it is our choice!

Blessings to all, and to all a good night!

When it comes to relationship astrology, I do wonder which is more in effect...the synastry, the composite, or the progressed composite. Interestingly, the synastry between me and my mate includes a hard contact of Venus/Mars (square), and our progressed composite currently contains a Sun/Venus/Mars/South Node stellium; however, Venus and Mars do not touch at all in our composite chart (but they do have their playing fields with our Venus/Sun Conjunction Opposite Pluto/Jupiter Conjunction & Mars is Opposite Uranus/Square Saturn/Conjunct Chiron), so given how compassionate he is with me, and the depth of affection between us, I am beginning to believe that all three of these charts, with their particular "combinations of energy" play a role, perhaps at different times. But how it actually all plays out is a mystery to me.

Something I also would like to point out is that hard aspects, like our Venus/Mars square, seem to be the glue in our relationship, if nothing more than making the sex so compatibly fun, hot, and new!!! [astrology says of Mars Opposite Uranus = red flag; I say "hot like fire!!!" since we have this configuration in our composite.] (Perhaps this works positively in our case because we both have Mars in aspect to Uranus (trines) in our natals.)

And speaking of hard aspects making a couple stick like glue....let me horrify you by the fact that SATURN in our composite chart squares EVERY personal planet (with the exception of our Moon, to which Saturn forms a trine), and you know what astrology has to say about hard Saturn aspects - none of which has been realized for us as we are very happy!...through an age difference of 7 years, spiritual differences, and philosophical differences such as astrology...but nothing could keep us apart - Did I mention his Moon/Psyche/Eros stellium conjuncts my North Node (within 1'), and his Jupiter conjuncts my South Node (within 1') - how sweet is that!!!???

Hard aspects like Venus Square Mars have been blessings in my experience (so I encourage you to keep an open mind when you first see them), and I wouldn't trade our "tensions" for the world. It does take conscious application, and having awareness renders me with much grace along the way...I realize the tensions that exist and see them when they arise, and I am amazed how me and my mate approach our muck head on, and with maturity and humility, and for me, always with love and respect for my king. Venus/Mars Square is a trump card in my book!!!

I so appreciate this forum, and thanks for giving me the room to share!
Blessings!

sooooo i have his mars and venus in pisces square my venus and mercury in gemini and my mars opposes his mars and venus

so his idea of perfect female is not me ( venus square venus) he feels i am not soft and romantuc and calm enough but it us one of the reasons he finds me attractive?

i annoy him? well i certanly know how i feel about him... he is annoying me in a attractive way. I feel like he is either ignoring me, not aware of my existance or trying to impress me too much that he ends up looking cocky, at the same time i feel shynes from his side... all that is what i get from him not knowing obviously if that is the case , it all annoys me and attracts me at the same time.
