I don't believe in any of this kind of fatalistic astrological interpretation.Marriage means so many different things to different people, as dictated by culture, genetics, and so many other things. Some people are happily in polyamorous relationships, with multiple partners. Some people do not conform to a binary gender or sexuality model, and may not be legally allowed to marry the person they love. Some believe that marriage as a legal/religious institution is sexist and would never legally marry, but have beautiful and happy longterm marriage-like connections. Some people come from cultures where they do not get to choose whom or if they marry.
Marriage in the natal chart--like everything else in the natal chart--is about the ways that you CHOOSE to explore and work with your natural energy and propensities. A planet's energy in a house can be activated in many different ways.
For example, a double Libra with Mars-Venus in Scorpio in the First House and Jupiter in Taurus in the 7th? Someone could play that out by having lots and lots of lovers and being a real heartbreaker. That is some serious allure. But these are all aspects that Gandhi had in his chart--he activated them and used those energies in a very different way.
Fatalistic astrology or other kinds of fatalistic divination really bug me! Challenging natal aspects are just that--challenges to work with! Successfully working with Saturn, especially, can bring deeper joy and knowledge in the end than some things that come easily.
Here's what I think is true about that 7th house placement: it means that you are likely to experience issues and emotions surrounding marriage as Very Serious, difficult, urgent, blocked or not-fun until you really work with your Saturn and learn its lessons. The Saturn Return is a great opportunity to do that.
Wherever we have Saturn, that area in our chart can feel really HARD and painful, especially if it conjoins the Moon, Venus, Mars, Pluto, or Chiron (planets that roil up the emotions.) But it doesn't mean that some particular life event will or will not happen for us, it just means we have to work with those energies.
