Maybe you feel unclear about her because of the Sun & Venus opposing Neptune in the composite.NN/SN contacts are also hard to let go of, I agree. IP: Logged |

i thought to add my contribution to this:the Vx means fatedness, not necessarily long-term or happy relationship.~ i believe that we must always look to the charts in general and see the pattern that might appear. vx/venus i would say fated to love the other;but then again...only you know how you feel together. me and bf have his vx cj my mc and this is the only cj related to Vx.However,we should look also the saturn/nn/karma/destinn ones to see if some pattern appears. i know a couple who has vx/Ac DW Conj. - it would suppose they have a very good relationship, but i n fact i feel they are stuck to each other, and feel obliged to be with one another, due to exterior forces.i dont see love there either, unfortunately. so i would focus on general, not only in the VX IP: Logged |

Kismet,I believe it was you who mentioned the Vertex/NN conjunction- what is that like??? I mean, from what i understand of the Nodes, and of the Vertex, a conjunction must be like soul-superglue! Perhaps a soulmate indicator?... IP: Logged |

Yeah you might be right Amowls, those neptune opposition are too obvious to be of no importance, especially cuz mercury is opposing the neptune as well. Could be some too idealistic and disillusioned approach to the whole thing. IP: Logged |

from hanakin's link:"Be Careful What You Wish For Through the years, I've discovered that it's a whopping big mistake to overly romanticize the Vertex and/or the people that it brings into our lives. In this regard, I especially like what my good friend Aussie astrologer Judy Crichton Weeks has to say about the Vertex. In a nutshell, she feels that the Vertex is a "relationship" point and a "wish fulfillment" point. When the Vertex is involved, we may get exactly what we wished for, but then again we might (or might not) get it in a "perverse manner." Yep! You (like me) may feel as if you've literally "wished" this destined meeting with a person into existence. However, later on (after everything's said and done)... she... er, I mean... "Destiny's Gate" may not feel quite as "fortunate" as you originally thought! Okay? This destined meeting often fills one up with the sense of needing to bring something (or someone) to "completion." As often as not, a Vertex person can complicate your life. You may even find that you simply can't "let go" of that pesky Vertex person (maybe for years or even decades) until the "business" between the two of you is finished and/or somehow felt to be complete." i think whether it is your vertex or anti-vertex, since they are an axis they are both aspected. i have this - mars conj vertex and moon conj antiv - with someone and i can certainly attest to the "fated" and "electric" qualities. also this person first came into my life 40 years ago, then after almost 40 years, AGAIN. however at this time there is no "relationship" to speak of, despite the magical and fated feeling connection. there is every possibility we will meet again but i am not counting on it. even if we don't however i think this connection has made a huge difference in my life...started me thinking about all kinds of things that have set off growth processes and experiences not available to me before. "Here's one small concrete example: My birth (natal) Venus is closely conjunct my birth (natal) Vertex. As such, I've gotten involved with two of the life changing (and gut wrenching) "loves of my life," almost exactly at the very moment the transiting Sun and/or Venus was passing over my birth (natal) Vertex and/or anti-Vertex. The problem is that the Sun and/or Venus have also fortunately, once each year, each passed over my birth (natal) Vertex and anti-Vertex (so far, 108 some other times) when I didn't meet one of the life changing (and gut wrenching) "loves of my life." The times that the Vertex did wisk someone significant into my life... there was, of course, lots of other major stuff going on in my chart and in their charts (including, in one case, where the transiting North Lunar Node was exactly conjuncting her birth North Lunar Node at precisely the moment we laid eyes on each other - and that "puppy" only happens once every 18.5 years or so). So the example of the Sun or Venus passing over one's birth Vertex and/or anti-Vertex generally appears to serve as a minor transit that sometimes acts as a trigger for another more major transit, secondary progression, and/or solar arc. " as i understand it the vertex is a trigger or one small part of the bigger picture which has to be in place for it to indicate or bring on a significant relationship... IP: Logged |

Just out of curiosity.. found this: http://www.falconastrology.com/vertex.htm And then, I've just checked asteroid Pomona (32) in our synastry, and my draco Pomona exactly conjunct his draco Vertex. X3 IP: Logged |

Great link, comica! Thanks for posting it. Most other sites speak either very little about the Vertex, or very incoherently. IP: Logged |

Katatonic, I agree about how only CERTAIN transits can trigger the vertex, not just simply the Sun crossing over it.My natal Vx is in Scorpio and conjunct Pluto. When I met my Vx person, transiting Pluto was exactly conjunct my DSC and he is Scorpio Rising himself. I think if I hadn't met him, I'd still be dating the guy I was with at the time. I might've been married by now! IP: Logged |
