I've been trying to understand the meaning of the axis in composite charts, and the Ascendant seems to represent the identity of the relationship while the MC seems to represent the path of it, yet I still can't understand it well what could Descendant and IC represent.

For example, if a planet, let's say Venus is on the Ascendant, then it could mean that the relationship is very loving; if Venus is on the MC, then the couple is aiming for affectionate love - but what could it possibly mean if Venus is on the Descendant/IC?


Any ideas/thoughts?

I think the descendant will show how you would be together out of public, the IC will show the homelife

Along those lines. DC = how you cooperate and coexist, work together and socialize as a unit. IC = the kind of environment you build for yourselves, both metaphorical and physical.

VENUS on DC means an amiable camaraderie, similar aesthetics and goals, and the potential to create beautiful things together. This includes an effective money-making team. This would also indicate a loving couple, who are affectionate toward each other.

VENUS on IC means incredible ease and comfort together, and a lovely home. Peaceful and idyllic, you share a stress-free zone when together. You may be open to house guests, but more likely prefer to keep your PDA's to a minimum, as a personal thing.

What if Uranus and Neptune are opposite the ASC in composite with no other aspects to personal planets?
