Pire,I was actually having something astrologically in mind, but somehow the thread took another direction. I will ask my question anyway.
What in the synastry of these couples do you find significant and maybe a reason or explanation for their enduring love / relationship?

sorry DD, i think my reaction is because i went to check astrologer's community forum and found their site much better structured. the vibe here is cool but somehow, the astrology forum is just a mix of everything, and the theme seems to be an excuse to talk about everything under the sun. there is too much laissez faire for me on the astrology forum specifically. ok rant over. sorry DD to have intruded in your thread. back to synastry. Pire,I didn`t feel you were intruding in the thread. Actually I agree with you. Sometimes (not specifically in this thread) it gets almost annoying, how little astrology-related things are being discussed. On the other hand it`s exactly that openness that I really love. What can I say? I am a walking contradiction. Anyway, I am really interested in the synastry of these couples. Or at least in the dominant aspects, which might be the explanation of their bond.
Anyone any idea? :hopeful smile: IP: Logged |

DD, maybe there is no patterns in those celebrity synastries? Love conquers all, remember? IP: Logged |

I agree!! Romantically, I think for everyone, but especially for celebrities (whose lives are often very difficult/disruptive for long-term relationships), we should consider not the longevity of the relationship, but how significant it might have felt to the people. So: Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. It would be interesting to check Johnny Depp/Winona Ryder, what with them being so crazy into each other and then the whole thing going sour, and him having to remove part of his "Winona Forever" tattoo...was it a zany Mars/Uranus situation? Yin,yes love conquers - much. Still I think there is a pattern. I am just curious if it is a general one, like the progressed synastry research implies, or if it is dependent on the natals. I guess a bit of both. BM, yes, VERY fascinating. AS a matter of fact I even did a report on the time when i am going to London. lol Lucia, I agree with you. There are some relationships that seemed to have been very significant and passionate, even though somewhat destructive like Frank and Ava or Laurence and Vivien. Yet, it is hard to tell from an outside perspective what really happened between them. IP: Logged |

Celeb soulmates. Okay:Liam Neeson & Natasha Richardson Steven Spielberg & Cate Kapshaw Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Prince Charles & Camilla Richard Gere & Julia Roberts Susan Sarandan & Tim Robbins Woody Allen & his wife EDIT: Agree with Lucia23. I don't think that people being together for a long time is a measure of soulmate. It's about the connection rather than the longevity or even actualisation. IP: Logged |

Coffee,HRH The Queen and Prince Philip have hardly been faithful to each other!! Picture of solidarity on the outside; a totally different story on the inside I would say Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward are a good example because l believe he's aquarian and she's a Pisces? Not an easy combination Prince Charles and Camilla is another. How about Wallace Simpson and Edward. He even abdicated for her! Let me try to find their birth details. EDIT: How bizarre.. it's her birthday today! IP: Logged |

LaraYes, good choice. Pity we don't have his birthtime. I think he has a really interesting chart. Synastry-wise - I'd look at their drac. IP: Logged |

Thanks again. I have my set of relationships now. Well, I know there are more, but I wanted to have an equal number of longterm relationships and relationships / affairs that are known for their passion. So this would be my set: "loving longterm relationships" (1) Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward (2) Paul Mc Cartney and Linda Eastman (3) Johnny Cash and June Carter (4) Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning (5) Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn (6) Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis (7) Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson (8) Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn (9) Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon (10) William Randolph Hearst and Marion Davies - I found it interesting that there was some kind of transformation or healing involved in at least the first 6 relationships, according to interviews of at least one partner "passionate relationships / affairs"
(1) Antonio Banderas - Melanie Griffith - we could argue about this one, but she once said she "had to have him". (2)Laurence Olivier - Vivien Leigh (3) Billy Bob Thornton - Angelina Jolie (4) Eric Satie - Suzanne Valadon - very short, but stormy (5) Henry Miller - Anais Nin (6) Frank Sinatra - Ava Gardner (7) Diego Rivera - Frida Kahlo (8) Travis Barker - Shanna Moakler (?) (9) Ryan O Neal - Farah Fawcett (10) Richard Burton - Liz Taylor I`m interested in learning if the synastry of the longterm couples is different from the one of the "passion-mates"

Thanks Peace. I find them the most interesting couple of all time just because he gave up his destiny for her and they were so in love. It shows in their synastry with karma and NN aspects.Same with Prince Charles and Camilla. A lot of celeb couples didn't have to give something up nor fight to be together, with the bonus of it lasting and these 2 couples did. I'll look at similarities between Charles/Camilla and Wallace/Edward tonight! IP: Logged |

Lara, I agree, those two couples are very interesting and should be in my "Set", too. So do you know 2 more couples, whose relationship was defined by passion first and foremost, so I will have a balance again?IP: Logged |

I'd say Mel and Antonio are all about PASSION, don't you think?Paul and Linda must have had passion to have not spent a night apart in so many years, or was it just devotion? I met them once and chatted to them for about 20 mins - they didn't seem passionate people l must say lol IP: Logged |

Lara,if you look at my set above, Richard and Liz and Antonio and Mel are already in there. I thought maybe the Shelley`s (Percy and Mary)? He left his wife to marry her. The same with Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini. IP: Logged |
