If a man's DC is conjunct a woman's Aphrodite in synastry, does that mean that he thinks she is beautiful? Or that she thinks he is beautiful? Or both? Or neither?

Would it confer sexual attraction, or just a more aesthetic appreciation?

Okay, so I am still TOTALLY confused about which way people feel asteroid conjunctions in synastry. Ack.

You're saying the angle person feels the asteroid-to-angle conjunction in synastry, yes?

But on another thread, someone said that my Valentine and Groom conjunct a man's AC would contribute to one-sided attraction--I would see him as a "perfect groom" (I don't, but I AM wildly sexually attracted to him), whereas he wouldn't really see/feel me.

I've asked a lot of questions about this on different threads, but I'm still utterly lost.

I would think that a planet, point in aspect to a person's Aphrodite would indicate a possible attraction that Aphrodite person has for the person......depending on other factors including especially free will.

I think of it as minor version of Venus.

Raymond, in general (of course considering free will, societal factors, commonsense, both natals, the full synastry, other relationships)....which person feels asteroid-to-angle conjunctions?

For example:
A's EROS conjunct B's ASC=does A look at B and get an erotic charge, or does B look at A and get an erotic charge?

Or in an asteroid conjunct:
A's EROS conjunct B's UNION=does A feel an erotic charge toward B, or B feel the erotic charge toward A?

Or in a Vertex conjunction:
A's EROS conjunct B's VERTEX--who feels what?

I know of course these are "cookbook" aspects that have to be considered in light of many other factors, but I sort of don't know how to read them.

I will be honest with you

I don't really look into asteroid synastry...especially not the minor asteroids

when I look at asteroids in synastry, it's usually the dwarf planet, Ceres in regards to nurturing,caring,food/domestic stuff,mother,parent/child connections. I thought it was highly underrated.

I also look at Juno because its the major asteroid of committed relationships, marriage, and things like overall commitment...as well as things like jealousy, infidelity, divorce

I don't view Juno like the Magi Astrologers do.

I don't really look at Vesta nor Pallas.

I do think that, in most of the cases, it would be the asteroid person who would feel it, when it comes to asteroid aspects with other planets/angles. But I'm not very sure how would the DC conjunct an asteroid manifest. But maybe it could be that the DC person's way of being with others (in this case, with the asteroid person) triggers the asteroid feelings of the asteroid person.
But well, for example, if the asteroid person also has another planet next to the asteroid, then it might be a different story. In my case, my bf's DC conjunct my Aphrodite and AC, and I think that he would be the one who feels more attracted, coz Aphrodite here would be a kind of enhancement of my AC image.
But then, he also has Valentine there conjunct my Aphrodite and AC, so my Aphrodite might also feel affected by his Valentine (and his Valentine by my Aphrodite/AC).

Also, I've noticed that when it's asteroid/asteroid aspect, usually both would feel it. So if A's Eros conjunct B's Union, then A would have Eros feelings towards B, while B would have Union feelings towards A.
It's like if A's Adonis conjunct B's Aphrodite, then A would feel like Adonis and B would feel like Aphrodite when they are together.

quote:
A's EROS conjunct B's ASC=does A look at B and get an erotic charge, or does B look at A and get an erotic charge?

I'd say that it would be the A person who would feel erotic, yet B doesn't really reciprocate it (unless other aspects in the synastry shows reciprocation).

quote:
Or in an asteroid conjunct:
A's EROS conjunct B's UNION=does A feel an erotic charge toward B, or B feel the erotic charge toward A?

A is still the one who feels erotic, while B feels like wanting to be with A.

quote:
Or in a Vertex conjunction:
A's EROS conjunct B's VERTEX--who feels what?

This one is tricky XP as I guess that both are kind of "activator points" in the synastry, waiting to be activated, yet they don't necessarily activate one another.

Thanks, Comica23!

How would planet connections then play out with angles or other planets?

Examples:

A's VENUS conjunct B's ASC--who feels what here?

A's VENUS conjunct B's PLUTO

Raymond--substituting "JUNO" for "EROS", then:

A's JUNO conjunct B's ASC--who feels the attraction/romantic connection?

I would think the Venus person would be attracted to Ascendant's appearance, persona,

I would think the Venus person would be attracted to the Pluto's intensity, transformational qualitities would have a profound effect on the Venus person leading the Venus person to be attracted to the Pluto person.

I think when it comes inner planet aspecting outerplanet, the outerplanet tends to modify the inner planet far more than the inner planet modifying the outerplanet because of the outerplanet's generational influence.

I think the Juno person would desire a committed relationship, feel committed to the Ascendant person.

Raymond, do you place Juno on the same level as planets when it comes to romantic attachment? Or do you see it as less central?

Looking at synastry with people I am attracted to, we have Juno-Angle conjunctions (with my ex, his Juno exactly conjunct my MC, with my friend I'm attracted to now, his Juno conjunct my IC) and other Juno contacts.

I think that planet/planet and planet/angle aspects would be felt by both sides. But I guess that when it comes to AC, the planet person would feel slightly more, and when it comes to DC, the DC person would be the who is one more interested.

quote:
A's VENUS conjunct B's ASC--who feels what here?

A loves the way B is and finds B beautiful. B feels comfortable with A, and that B can feel identified with A's tastes/charm.

quote:
A's VENUS conjunct B's PLUTO

A loves and idealizes B's intensity and feels drawn to it, and B feels deeply affected by A's charm.

I think that if, for example, it's my Venus being aspected by someone else, then despite whatever planet/angle it is from someone else, I'd still feel Venusian towards this person. Coz it is my Venus that is aroused.

In an aspect between Venus and Pluto, no matter how the Venus person seems to be the one who is obsessed, the Venus person is only responding to this aspect as the Venus person. But maybe sometimes people would wounder that Venus/Pluto aspects would make the Venus person obsessed, coz the Venus person is madly attracted with the Pluto person (in a Venusian way), yet the Pluto person might not always show it. Then the Venus person, loving the Pluto person's Plutonian side madly, might think that he/she is the one who is feeling Plutonian.

Okay, this clears some of it up, thanks!

With my exact Venus-PLuto square with someone (I'm Venus), people on another thread were saying that (in combo with me having tighter Venus contacts to his planets), it would account for a one-sided attraction/obsession me to him...but to me he seems obsessive/overbearing sometimes. Like, VERY.

Hmm if we take a more in-depth analysis here, Venus/Pluto aspects could be or seems to be one-sided in some cases, due to:

- Pluto person not very used to the Pluto energy himself/herself, that he/she might be unaware and so doesn't notice it or show it much like the Venus person;

- Pluto person might be aware of his/her obsession (Plutonian side), but hide it or doesn't show it much coz he/she is uncomfortable with it (Pluto energies can be harder to deal with, compared to the Venus energy);

- it's simply in the Pluto person's nature that he/she isn't very Plutonian, so that he/she isn't very affected by it.

In the end, it depends on each person's chart to see if Pluto aspects really affects someone deeply or not. But it's often much easier to affect our Venus (Venus is a personal planet after all) rather than our Pluto.

Yeah, my thing with this guy is interesting. Natally, we are both probably more Plutonian than Venusian...I have a Sun-Merc-Mars in my 8th house, Pluto widely square my Moon, sextile my Venus and Neptune and in a tight square to my ASC and tight minor aspects to my Sun and NN...he is a Scorpio, with Pluto in his 1st house.

In synastry, my Venus squares his Pluto exactly (0), but his Venus is loosely conjunct my Pluto (8 degrees)...his Pluto is tightly conjunct my MC (0), my Pluto is loosely conjunct his AC (5)...

He is aware that he is obsessive and comes on strong in general and has mentioned it and apologized for it. Sometimes I feel really overwhelmed/shy in the face of his energy, when I am not normally a shy person. When we were first spending time together I was in a fragile place and not ready for someone like him...I sent him away, and later realized how attracted to him I was and started getting obsessed. Now we are hanging out as friends again, with some flirting.

My Valentine conjuncts his ASC, his Aphrodite conjuncts my DSC, my Adonis-Aphrodite conjunct his Union-Valentine.

I was interested in my "guess the synastry" thread that everyone picked out right away that he and I were the one couple who have never been lovers.

quote:
she feels like a goddess when with him

I actually do feel very tiny and feminine and pretty around him, with him seeming big and intense and masculine to me.

"Raymond, do you place Juno on the same level as planets when it comes to romantic attachment? Or do you see it as less central?"

I see it as less central, but not like very minor. I think that it is of moderate importance with it being a major asteroid.

I think major asteroids, Vesta and Pallas are fit more with platonic relationships. Vesta could fit with being devoted to or in be in service with the planet person. It could be some sacred sex connection or kamasutra.

Pallas seems more like a minor Mercury, but also fit more with the political, activist side of things. It could be good for having an intellectual rapport, the meeting of minds in a relationship.

interesting! i just checked his aphrodite and it is conjunct my pluto, and his adonis is conjunct my MC, both under 3 degrees. i'm totally clueless to how this works, too, but i'll take a stab. he is attracted to my transformational powers and depth, and his masculine essense is highly attractive to me and pulls me upward and gives me courage or some such thing. also, my aprhordite is conjucnt his MC by 3 degrees, so perhaps we have the same effect on one another! anyone have any clue how to interpret this with the MC conjunction?

DD's comment on the meaning of Valentine from another thread:

quote:
Valentine:
unconditional true love, according to IQ.
I`m a bit more sceptical of this interpretation, but he believes very firmly in it. So I sit and wait until enlightment hits me.

I would have a milder interpretation of Valentine in non-"soul mate" synastries (see IQ's thread on Soul Mates to check)--that Valentine adores what it comes into contact with.

So his Valentine on her Aphrodite=he adores her, she thinks he's beautiful (or, likes to look at him.)

Well, based on the notes in this thread about who feels what

ty lucia this interp actually underscores what our planetary synastry says, in part. that's really interesting, it's [0] and yes there are other factors that point to this but he's definitely the most beautiful man i've met/seen. his aphrodite is conj my venus as well [3] so i think there's even more of an asteroid emphasis on this, not too sure tho have to research. and my union conj his venus [3], wanting to unite with his beauty/love, i guess? so it goes on..

comica, what do you think?

also, Lucia,

regarding eros in 1st/conj asc - maybe asteroids just emphasize what's there already? someone's stated this already though, just reiterating
editing: more attracted [eros] isn't exactly it, it's more like more initially attracted and then asc person basically knows they have their choice and can be influenced by eros person in a sexual manner, eros's sexual attraction igniting asc person's sexual interest, if that makes sense?

re: initial post on thread im tending to it being more aesthetic, both ways. similar to how venus in 7th/dsc would operate but to a lesser degree, from what i've read in some spots on here.

Interesting Lucia23.

quote:
So his Valentine on her Aphrodite=he adores her, she thinks he's beautiful (or, likes to look at him.)

My immediate thought/feeling was that "his love makes her feel beautiful".

EDIT: Maybe his Valentine triggers her Aphrodite and she is seen by him the way she desires to be seen as a woman?

Lonake, I'm not very sure how is Valentine/Aphrodite conjunction playing out, but I guess that the Valentine person would love the Aphrodite person in the Valentine way (like seeing himself as wanting to be her lover and acts very Valentine), while the Aphrodite person would feel loved and also loves him back in the Aphrodite way (she might feel like being Aphrodite towards him, wanting to be appreciated for her charms too). X3

quote:
his aphrodite is conj my venus

He thinks that she's very charming and beautiful, with her beauty and charm fitting his beautiful image of Aphrodite well!

quote:
my union conj his venus

His charm, tastes and beauty might make you feel like wanting to commit with him?
