Hello knowflakes! I'm wondering how much emphasis some of you learned folks put on Chiron in synastry. I know the Maji-Society put a TON of importance on this astroid in matters of love, romance, marriage, children, and a happy personal life in general. They are the reason I'm trembling in my boots about what I see in the synastry between my sweetie and myself. His Saturn squares my Chiron with a 0 degree orb, and my Saturn conjuncts his Chiron with a less than 2 degree orb. Are we going to absolutely trash each other? We get along very nicely, for the most part, though we do tend to have some heated arguements if we drink together for some reason...So we avoid that...But how might that play out? The way the Magi Society talks about Saturn/Chiron clashes, makes me wonder if I should run fast and not look back. I don't want to do that. We have a beautiful baby girl together. Should I just resign myself to the probability that he's going to break my heart, so I should just brace myself for it? It makes me feel sad. What are your thoughts or experiences with Saturn/Chiron aspects in synastry? IP: Logged |

Magi Astrology interpretations are a little too fatalistic for my taste.Natally I have Chiron opposite Saturn (and Venus square Chiron... another "heartbreak" aspect). Everyone within 1-2 years of me has it too and we all have it with each other. There are lots of successful relationships between these people. Every relationship I've had had Chiron opposite Saturn. Some relationships lasted longer than others, but it had little to do with that particular aspect alone. Your heated arguments are probably signified by a Mercury or Mars aspect, not Chiron/Saturn. My boyfriend and I also get into heated arguments but that's because we have DW Sun square Mars. IP: Logged |

They ARE very fatalistic, aren't they? Mind you, I probably would embrace their interpretations if I wasn't seeing such supposedly BAD ones between my sweetie & myself. And I can't seem to find any further info on the net regarding these aspects. I want to know exactly what to expect here....forewarned is fore-armed afterall. Actually the conjunction is said to be not necessarily a bad aspect, as it often results in a long term commitment, but the Saturn person always maintains the upper hand and makes the Chiron person feel unloved and/or inferior much of the time. I'm the Saturn person in this aspect, so I will try to be gentle But the square, HE is the Saturn person in that one, and the square is supposedly the worst. Nothing good about that one. My Chiron also recieves an opposition from his Pluto, double ouch. I wish there was more info available on Chiron in synastry, other than the Magi Society's spin on it. Either way, it's daunting and makes me feel pessimistic about our future together. And I don't want it to be a self fullfilling prophesy so I'd like to find something positive about it, or find something that says "it's overblown, don't worry about it" ...lol..kind of like what you said....which actually made me feel a bit better IP: Logged |

Well, ok this is interesting...Magi also talks about planets being parallel or contr-parallel, which means if they're within 3 degrees of the same declination. My Chiron is @ 4 deg 18 mins 0 seconds North His Venus is @ 4 deg 18 mins 5 seconds North Exact, within only 5 seconds of each other. C'est bein, non? His Chiron is @ 9.39:2 North My Jupiter is @ 8.55:13 North Less than 1 degree off - Not too shabby either. I don't know of any other astrological school of thought that considers declinations, so again, I wish there were more sources of info or more research by parties not associated with the Magi's to back this up. Apparently one bad Saturn clash needs 2 or 3 good linkages to counter it. Has anyone done any research of their own regarding Chiron in synastry? IP: Logged |

I think Uranian/Cosmobiologists are into declinations. At least Glaucus sometimes talks about declinations and he's into that kind of astrology. For like a day I was into Magi Astrology but then I read all of the descriptions and their websites seemed to sensationalize everything. On top of that, to get more information you had to pay like $300 for a book. I found it too much like Scientology lol. Lara seems to know a lot about Magi astrology, though, so hopefully she'll pop on by. IP: Logged | |
