Hi allI'm floored by all the talk of the eclipses - I had read Susan Miller's positive musings on them and it looked as though there were great things in store!- Especially as I got a lead on a great job in another city on July 7th (although so far nothing concrete has developed with that)
I left a steady job and emigrated to the far side of the world about 6 months ago. Since then, I've had a very very hard time finding employment (visa restrictions and flailing economy) I finally found a short-term contract position - it's not in my field, but it's a bit of money in the pocket and keeps me busy.
I'm totally torn about what to do when this contract is up...
I could move to another city and try to start again there (I can only stay in
the country for an extended time if I can find a company willing to sponsor me)...
I could move to a country closer to home where there will be no issues with my Visa and try to find work there (the economy is rotten in my own country right now...but I have lots of lovely friends and family there)
I could always just try and save up a bit of money and travel around for a couple of months before moving home (this is what my travel companion wants to do... but I feel like she and I are on very different journeys right now)
Anyone able to see if there's much in the way of career development for me in the coming weeks or months?
Should I be focussing less on my career and more on personal development?
Should my Travel buddy and me go our seperate ways? I feel like I could be ready to do this... but she has said that's not what she wants.
I'd really appreciate any insights!!
