Mars in Gemini
Saturday July 11, 2009

The planet that gets us moving is in Gemini starting today. Mars in Gemini is tricky because it's erratic and wiry. It can get you spinning out if you're already anxious. But in the whirl of doing many things at once -- a Mars in Gemini specialty -- you catch up on emails and calls, speed-read to get the gist, knock out your chores while listening to a tv or radio program. The path may not be linear, but in the flurry, much can get done.

On the astrological clock, Mars sets the rhythm of the action. But Mars itself is undirected force, so we feel it most when it's engaged with other planets. Whether it affects your own physical vitality will depend on how it hits your planets and especially your own Mars sign.

Mars and Venus are together through July in this air sign, as mischief-makers for fun, novelty, fascination. Love can be new and giddy. It's a time to seek out fresh adventures together. The spectrum runs from wild and manic to slaphappy. Zany activities or a summer fling many be short-lived under this transit...as in "it seemed like a good idea at the time." Keep it light and playful...true joy has a way of opening doors. Caution: There's a careless aspect here, which is worth noting with so much chaos and frenetic behavior afoot. Look both ways, and watch out for distracted drivers. Mars is in Gemini through August 26th.

I feel like I've been on 500 back to back 10-minute dates already and now things are going to be even MORE erratic?

Oh, I can't wait.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

"So which one? the beginning or the end?? LOL"

both...the end of a cycle, and the beginning of new cycle

"Glaucus...can u comment on my post "r they good for each other?" THANKS!! "

I can't do that right now. I lack the objectivity to do relationship astrology.
That's because of my own relationship issues. My exgirlfriend dumped me April of last year, and I am still not over it. I am feeling a bit jaded about romance, relationship stuff. I am afraid that my pessimism will distort my perceptions in regards to relationship astrology that I see more negative than there actually is. Therefore, I am no use to you.

Do up a Mars Return chart.....
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008431.html
http://www.falconastrology.com/reading_returns.htm

From AstroWiki: http://wiki.astro.com/astrowiki/en/Mars_Return_Chart

A horoscope erected for the exact moment that Mars returns to its position in the natal chart, i.e. at the moment of birth. This occurs roughly every two years. The Mars return horoscope indicates how and where a person is likely to be active in the coming two years. In short: it is concerned with Mars themes. The Mars return is one of several return charts.

Due to its retrograde motion Mars sometimes passes over the same degree of the zodiac three times. Strictly speaking, should this occur at the same time as the Mars return, three different return horoscopes should be erected, although the usual recommendation is to erect a chart for the last time Mars passes over its natal position. It is not possible to erect a Mars return chart if the return occurs at a time when Mars is almost stationary, because its slow movement makes it impossible to accurately calculate the positions of the main axes and house cusps.

More information regarding calculation, location and interpretation can be found under the heading Solar Return Chart which is the horoscope erected for the time that the Sun conjuncts its own position in the natal chart, although it should not be forgotten that, whereas the solar return horoscope is valid for one year, the Mars return horoscope is valid for roughly two years. The planet Mars is naturally the main focus of attention when interpreting the Mars return chart. For example, its house position is especially significant. However, a meaningful interpretation of the Mars return horoscope is only possible in relation to the natal chart.
