i know a couple who are very much in love and i have a feeling they might get married. i checked their asteroids bride and groom and am wondering if it's significant that his bride is exactly conjunct her sun/moon midpoint and her groom is exactly conjunct his. also, his groom and her bride oppose one another by 4 degrees and both reside on their composite AC-DC axis (in their 1 and 7th houses). does this look promising for marriage, or do we not use midpoints with asteroids? i would assume sun/moon would be rather relevant, though.

I think a midpoint is powerful--Glaucus posted an article recently about how astrologically, all angles are nodes, and hence sites of power...I would think those key midpoints would function that way too.

The orb is probably too wide with that opposition.

Check their Union...on the "guess the synastry" thread, we found that in all the marriages, there were major Union conjunctions to personal planets--it seemed way more potent and relevent than the Briede-Groom-Boda stuff.

Union squares equaled a thwarted or blocked Union.

thanks lucia..

hmm well as for union, his conjuncts her uranus and opposes her moon both under 2 degs. hers only conjuncts their composite MC by 1, but nothing significant to his natal. in draco, though, hers conjuncts his draco moon by 2.

since i'm of the school of thought that draco is more powerful, less 'default', than natal, i wonder if this is significant. what do you think?

I am a firm believer in the S/M midpoint and believe it to be a KEY indicator of marriage.
