I've just noticed that the Sun/Moon conjunction is right on the South Node.

Other aspects:

- retrogrades Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius;
- Cancer Sun/Moon trine Pisces Uranus;
- Gemini Venus square Virgo Saturn;
- Gemini Mars sextile Leo Mercury;

I'm far from being an expert in the astrology field, but these transits seems kinda meaningful (worldwide). I've tried to google a bit, but can't find anything that talks much about these transits. Anyone has any thoughts/information about this?

I mentioned the SN of the eclipse in my karma thread for IQ Hunk.

It makes the eclipse more...I hate to use evil, but yeah, evil.

Why exactly? What sort of things are supposed to happen?

SN eclipses tend to bring a more malevolent tone to events around the eclipse. It would depend on the natal chart and if it hits any sensitive points. I've noticed that not only are the conjunction and opposition predictive of events, but so is the square. I haven't seen much effect with trines or sextiles in charts.

I don't want to get into mundane matters, but there have been more earthquakes, especially at locations nearer to where the eclipse is occurring. There are also more plane crashes, but I believe that is more indicative of the JUP/NEP/CHI stellium in aqua.

This eclipse scares me and it's happening on my IC and opposite my MC. Already, I just learned my mother is ill, which I feared with the IC being hit, especially since it's ruled by the moon.

It hits my Venus exactly.

I was thinking it would (finally) bring me someone to make out with! (sigh) But now I am sick, and I'm also losing hope that I'll ever find anyone again.

I'm not sure what it would mean malevolently--Venus=the home and open enemies, right? Ugh.

Diana, I hope your mother's health will be just fine! Have you checked where it hits her chart?

Diana, why do you think that it's the Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius?

I have a friend whose birthday is July 22nd
He is a Cancer at 29.58'
I have been worried about him for some time now. He has complained that he has no energy, sleeps excessively and overall doesn't feel good.

Any one have any thoughts on what an almost exact conjunction to his sun might mean?

lucia,

I hear you. I feel the same way.

Thanks. I looked at her chart and it's bad.

Which house is your venus in?

Comica,

Because that combo is bad and it's in air. Aquarius's ruler is uranus, ruling unexpected events and to a certain extent I think it fits air travel.

Stargazer,

It depends, but it usually eclipses a man out of your life when it hits your sun. Much depends on which house your sun is in and how it's aspected natally.

i'm so sorry but your (again i'm so sorry) a bit trivial-ish worry made me smile a bit... but of course, it's probably not so trivial to you! you're getting sick and maybe not have a chance even if the eclipse brings you someone to make out with. that sounds just cute... ok again, sorry. i don't mean to make fun of you...

Yes, as a Lioness, my priorities in life are true love, play, romance, FUN, creativity, and the arts.

Although (especially as someone who writes extensively on issues ruled by my 8th house stellium) I encounter death, grief, the world's injustices, the problems of rape and exile and poverty and corruption, just as much as everyone else, I think the world would be a better place if more of us embraced the importance of simple pleasures.

EDITED: Also, I AM cute!! Dammit!! Why am I not getting courted by Archers?!!

Diana~ thanks

The eclipse will conjunct his sun.
His natal sun is in the 8th (end of 7th)
He has Sun conj. Merc wide 7' and Sun Quincunx ASC 1' these are natal aspects.

For me, its going to conjunct my DC at 26'
That can't be good either I suppose?

I dunno--I STILL think it might be really good, because when I look over my old journals, huge things happen surrounding eclipses...Full Moon ones=big endings, and New Moon=exciting new beginnings. New Moon solar eclipses have always been great for me so far.

Although, I don't know when or if the South Node and its malevolence have ever been involved before.

Lucia, lol. yea same here, why me, who is a cute Archer, not being courted by a passionate Lion? ... for me the eclipse will be in my 8th house not tightly conjunct but near my Vertex at 24 degree Cancer.

Lucia- I'm right there with you with a Venus at 29.00 Cancer, at the end of my 2nd house. Which house is yours in? I'm trying to stay positive about it too. Most of the time I feel excited about it, and then have random moments when I get this punch-in-the-gut worried feeling. Plus, I've been sick the last two days. Similar symptoms to your friend, Stargazer, without the excessive sleeping.

I think what it comes down to is, a solar eclipse is going to bring about change no matter what, good and bad. It's all about being able to flow with the tides of the universe and not resist what comes. If we do resist, then we will have a harder time dealing with anything negative that happens, personally and on a global scale. If we prepare and accept what it brings, things will go much smoother. The best we can do for ourselves is have a positive and stable state of mind going into it.

Lechein, I wonder if it's 'cause we're dabbling around in karmic-feeling semi-relationships with guys with giant Virgo stellia in the 8th house (you), or Scorpios with Mars-Venus in Virgo (me)? Maybe it's like elephants trying to mate with monkeys and it would be more natural to be romping around with some fire boys??

Geemeeni, my Venus at 29 Cancer is in my 7th house. Also, transiting Venus will be conjunct my natal SN AND transiting SN will be conjunct my natal Venus--hellooo Nodal experience, whatever it may be. I guess you have that big South Node Double Whammy hitting up your Venus too? Since your Venus is my Venus?

Weirdly, I have been sick for the past 2 days also! What is that about? Is it Saturn semisquare our Venuses?

Lucia, that double whammy seems pretty meaningful! Not sure what that means, though. Hopefully something positive like a night of fun with a blast from the past (I know... bad interpretation of the SN).

I just found this, about transiting nodes:
"Venus combinations with the nodes usually time pleasant events of a social nature, celebrations, meeting with friends and fortunate circumstances in general. They are exceptional times for childbirth and any related social events, such as baby showers, and post birth visitations. Since Venus signifies affections and attachments, these combinations also reflect a focus on ones children in their later years. They reflect an involvement with women and their interests, including finery, beauty salons, bridal preparations, flowers, and all things feminine and lacy. They may signify romance, marriage, and they frequently time the concern for a loved one."

I don't have the double whammy like you, as my SN is at 2 degrees Aries, but transiting Venus will be conjunct my Sun-Mercury-Ascendant. And I just noticed the NN will be biquintile to my Sun and Mercury (which I'm now paying attention to thanks to your post on quintiles ).

I read somewhere about this eclipse bringing health issues to light, but I'm not sure if that was a general thing or something I was reading about my specific placements. Lucia, what kind of sickness are you feeling, if you don't mind me asking? I feel like I've been impregnated with an alien baby... haha. Seriously, I feel so "off". Like a mixture between a mild flu and what I think pregnancy would feel like, but I don't have either of those. Thank goodness.

I have a mild flu, one of those, "If I'd taken better care of myself before it got to this point, I'd be feeluing okay" flus.

Well, that Venus stuff certainly sounds pleasant! Maybe this eclipse won't be karmic or transformational for us...maybe we will just go to a nice picnic or something.

I sure hope so. A picnic sounds good. One with lots of cheese, chocolate and wine.

I hope you feel better soon!

You too!

Mmm, I think cheese, chocolate, and wine is within our power, stars be damned. I am meeting friends the pre-eclipse weekend...I will make a picnic happen! If I don't still have the flu.

I just received a phone call and I knew it would be bad. No one calls this late. My grandmother was just taken to the hospital. First my mom and now her. I KNEW this would happen because of the eclipse on my my IC. The two most important people to me are sick within the past day.

I don't even know what to do.

Sorry to hear that, Diana! I wish them both (and you) all the best.

You know, there are different ways the eclipse to your IC could play out though...my feeling is that you have intuitively understood for a while that something challenging re: your loved one's health might happen, and that's why you've been dreading the eclipse energy.

I REALLY hope it all turns out okay!

Thanks.

I am very intuitive and astrology just adds to that, so yeah, I knew, but I was hoping I was wrong.

I have been wound so tight these past few weeks. I only get like this when something is about to happen. I can always tell. Even so, I am still surprised. I know that doesn't make much sense, but I am.

Well, damn, Diana, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother

I have Cancer on my SN too and it's part of my IC - my dad had major surgery recently because of his cancer. .... It seems he's ok, according to my mother, but I am worried still.
My mood's been complete crrrrrrap lately. I'm also feeling VERY wound up, like I'm anticipating something, but also edgy as hell.
But, I am trying to remain optimistic, dammit. I don't know what's going on

Much love to you

I feel extremely restless too, MyVirgoMask. Like I am very hungry to find something, but I don't know what. I am meeting all these new people and doing new things, searching for it but its just getting worse.

Diana, good thoughts to you and your family! I hope your grandmother can get through this okay, and you as well.
