If you're talking about star parans, yes...there is
http://www.harmonicconcordance.com/__LauraMahoney.htm

star paran is when a star and a planet is on an angle at the same time during

its based on the horizon coordinates. It has nothing to do ecliptic longitude like we use regularly.

they are very sensitive to location. With the horizon coordinates, the stars are in relation to where a person.

parans will be completely different person born in say the East Coast of the USA and West Coast of the USA.

its Visual Astrology

for example

if Regulus is culminating when Moon was setting, then Regulus and Moon are in a paran relationship

parans are looked at any time of the day of birth. It is not just at the time of birth.

Bernadette Brady is the main star paran Astrologer

she uses Egyptian/Roman day of sunrise to sunrise

here is her site which talks about her program,Starlight which I have. It calculates fixed star parans, and it generates reports on them. http://zyntara.com/

She wrote 2 books which I have

Brady's Book of Fixed Stars

Star and Planet Combinations

“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

Your heliacal rising star: Alphard (21 days earlier)

Your heliacal setting star: Sadalmelek (18 days earlier)\

Stars Rising ("Stars of Your Youth")
Sun = Castor (LCul-Rise, 0°03’)
Jupiter = Mean Node (LCul-Rise, 0°16’)
Saturn = Fomalhaut (Set-Rise, 0°28’)
Mean Node = Alphecca (Cul-Rise, 0°22’)

Stars in Culmination ("Stars of Your Prime")
Sun = Phact (Rise-Cul, 0°18’)
Mercury = Procyon (Rise-Cul, 0°29’)
Venus = Polaris (LCul-Cul, 0°01’)
Saturn = Vega (Set-Cul, 0°04’), Facies (Set-Cul, 0°11’)

Stars Setting ("Stars of Your Latter Years")
Mercury = Jupiter (Set-Set, 0°01’)
Jupiter = Mercury (Set-Set, 0°01’)
Mean Node = Diadem (LCul-Set, 0°10’)

Stars in Lower Culmination ("The Hearthstone of Your Life")
Sun = Rasalhague (Rise-LCul, 0°15’), Aculeus (Rise-LCul, 0°19’)
Mercury = Sirius (Set-LCul, 0°25’)
Venus = Arcturus (LCul-LCul, 0°06’)
Jupiter = Sirius (Set-LCul, 0°26’)
Saturn = Alhena (Set-LCul, 0°09’)
Mean Node = Jupiter (Rise-LCul, 0°16’), Algol (Set-LCul, 0°19’)

Hmmm. This is new to me. I started with researching the heliacal rising star of Alphard and nothing I'm finding sounds good! LOL. If you have the software, if you could do an interpretation of that Alphard as heliacal rising I'd greatly appreciate it.

Very intriguing, I just ordered the Brady book online.
