i was married to a twin! his twin was attracted to me but i never gave him a second look. with my hubby i took ONE look and KNEW we would be together. they are 20 mins apart, which makes no significance in the aspects between me and one or the other.

that is why I say NEVER underestimate houserulers and housecusps. They DO play a role. Even with twins.

I have seen it work only with Placidus or topocentric though.

Also aspects to housecusps need to be exact (up to 1 degree, 2 at most, and that`s probably already grasping).

But yes, it is true, first comes the experience, then the astrology.

Example:

Mary Kate has Lilith on the exact same degree as her 11th house cusp; even though it is close for Ashley, too, it is not on the same degree anymore.
Mary Kate also has Neptune exact square the 3rd house cusp (same degrees again), for Ashley it is not on the same degree.

On the other hand Ashley has Mercury on the exact same degree as 12th house cusp, which is not the case for Mary Kate.
Could it be she is the more "invisible" of the two?

Neptune squaring 3rd cusp may be a big problem for especially Mary Kate; Neptune rules the 8th house and sits in the 5th house, squaring 3rd house cusp from there.
She seems to be very unsure about how to get into touch with the world, how to present herself (3rd house is not only communication, but how you look, move, speak, how others see you. In the 1st house it`s a natural, instinctive thing, in the third house you almost deliberately present yourself). With neptune squaring this cusp, she just doèsn`t know who she wants to be, what she wants others to see of her.
Also, the connection between 8th and 5th house connects the house of intensity and principle with the house of pleasure - tough one, especially with Neptune confusing here.

Lilith on the cusp of the 11th house may sharpen that dilemma, making her almost feel like an outcast in her peergroup.

Yes, the themes are there for both of them, but it seems they are more acute for Mary Kate.

Also, remember, the constellations WILL play out, just on what level, is uncertain.
For example in synastry: Venus-Pluto can mean an intense love affair, or it means a hurtful attempt to dominate the other one.
Both are possibilities for that constellation to be expressed. That is where free will comes in.

Just let me say something, for you and for everyone else:
We have to start at the beginning, not the middle.

The skeletton of our astrological interpretations are:
ASC, IC, MC, DSC, Moon, the housecusps and houserulers
Those have to be checked first to see REALLY individual connections.

Everything else will flesh out to the skeletton. But without a skeletton (or skelleton-aspects) you can`t do anything with all that flesh.

It`s the angles, that tie our charts to the earth (literally bring the sky in touch with earth, through the ASC), that is where life is being breathed into a chart, the point of "in-carnation" if you want.

Of course that is just my opinion. But I am pretty convinced I am right.

looks like you have a merc,uranus,pluto conjunction sext neptune, do you have strong psychic tendencies, either way you're very mentally in tune with your generation, and you have very good indications of being a writer.

this stellium makes a grand trine with his mercury and moon, most likely. i'm guessing for what you're experiencing his moon is likely to be in taurus. is he somewhat plodding and stubborn, perhaps? or more emotionally naive and boyish? if it's the latter then most likely aries, but with what youre experiencing i think it's taurus. it's a very nice mental/emotional/psychic attunement. try to get his time of birth if possible.
