I guess with his sun (self) and mercury (communication) falling into your 8th house he feels like he can communicate openly about 8th house issues with you.

For example, I also have a packed 8th house, but I don't really find people whose Sun falling into my 8th any special. On the other hand, I've found people who has Venus or Moon falling into my 8th house, specially conjunct my stellium kinda special.

We shared a lot of his resources. I tried to share mine but he loved to provide everything for me (clothes, food, jewelry, etc.) and it made me feel very special. He received an inheritance and I went with him to organize the estate. He picked through things to give me as gifts and delighted in sharing that part of his family history with me. It got to a point though where I felt like I was one of his possessions, or a dress-up doll for him to show off like a nice piece of furniture in his home (my sun fell in his 2nd house Cancer, and Venus in his 4th ruled by Leo, too).

It's interesting what Comica said about a person's planet's activating another's house. I agree. I think it's especially pronounced when you or they throw like a stellium into a certain house... the effect becomes more pronounced. And I think it goes both ways to an extent. I threw a stellium into my ex's 7th and 8th house and it seemed to effect him on a profound level. He threw his Mars into my 8th too, along with his stellium and it went from my 8th to my 9th.
The connection was extremely deep, sexual, and disturbing. I was also going through grieving a family death and talked about it a lot so it's interesting.
Our composite was all 8th house Scorpio also. Yeowch.

Someone I am seeing now throws his stellium into my 10th and we always talk career and family and ancestry. He reminds me of a Capricorn even though he is not. I throw my Sun and Mercury and Pluto into his 4th and on our first date he pretty much talked about family and parents - in fact, we both did, and it felt very natural. Maybe he sees me in a more Cancerian way, I don't know. Maybe it's the 4th/10th house polarity being activated.

for some reason i really attune to their moon being in my 8th, i dont really feel it's the same for the planet person, but for me i feel like i share more emotional depth with them, and believe this to be irrespective of any aspect so poss. why it stands out. and i tend to find them quite sexually attractive in a way thats not up front, it creeps up slow and knocks me over the head, they lull me into this comfortable sexual arena where anything can happen. somewhat similar to what i experience with their venus in my 8th altho the attraction there doesn't simmer, it's quite apparent, and mutual. their sun i haven't noticed much difference, their mars on the other hand, very strong attraction both ways.
