hey all, a planet conjunct an angle, spec. asc, how have you experienced that in your solar return charts? did you feel that energy resonated with you that yr or not much influence?

also when your natal hit an angle in the SR, like asc/mc which are the most prominent, what was that like??

and the sign on the asc, if its different than your natal do you think your appearance/manner changed a bit for that time??

That's because I don't know yet. The year isn't over yet. I heard it takes six months for a SR to really produce results.

In my 2008 solar return chart my natal mars (26 Taurus) was conjunct the degree of the ascendant of the solar return chart. We all know this is the dreaded Algol placement and I practically lived most of the year expecting to have an accident.

Thankfully that did not happen but I did end up having surgery. Taking into consideration the last time I’d had surgery was 30 years ago I thought this was quite significant and descriptive of a natal mars conjunct solar return ascendant.

I met my exgf during my solar return period of natal Venus conjunct my Solar Return Ascendant
October 28, 2005 to October 28, 2006

I got dumped by her during my solar return of Pluto in Sagittarius in 7th conjunct Descendant in Sagittarius Solar Return
Solar Return period October 28, 2007 to October 28, 2008

not only did she dump me, she cut off all contact with me. It was like I was completely dead to her. This was a woman who told me that she loved me all the time, day and night. She was the first woman to tell me that she love me face to face. A woman that I made love to (not have sex).
I couldn't comprehend how a woman can tell me that she loves me but break up with me and never contact me again.
The main reason why she did it was because she has strong attachment, obligations to her mother who has a strong dislike for males because she was cheated on by her exgf's father. She raised her daughters (my exgf and her sister) that men can't be trusted and that they are all the same. That's ridiculous...especially for me because I am different, being a neurodivergent and have strong female traits with confirmed high estrogen levels. She made my exgf feel guilty for being with me. It was an interracial relationship too. My exgf is white, and I am the son of white woman and black man. Some thought that there was racial bigotry involved. I would hate to think that. However, she is prejudiced against men,and so she could be prejudiced against other types of people. I suffered a great loss, losing the woman that I love just because her mother was bitter from being hurt in relationship and had her issues with love. Ironically, I am having a hard time trusting women and opening my heart again. I don't want wind up like my exgf's mother, bitter about women. I am too much of a romantic to be like that any way. I don't generalize when it comes to gender with my not fitting gender stereotypes myself. Being an ultrasensitive person, I am very vulnerable to being hurt. When I do get hurt, I get REALLY hurt as I did with my exgf breaking up with me. I don't want to be with a woman for a short term relationship. I want to be with a woman for a lifelong relationship. She will get absolute lifelong loyalty and devotion from me.

I sorta took my relationship with my exgf and the issues with the mother as karmic lessons about feminism.

My exgf's true Black Moon Lilith squares my Mercury within 1 degree. She has Moon in 7th square mean Black Moon Lilith with only 1 minute of arc. In my natal chart, I have true Black Moon Lilith conjunct my Sun with 22 minutes of arc, trine Moon with 2'31 orb. In the solar return chart of the period that I got dumped, I had Sun conjunct true Black Moon Lilith in 5th.

my exgf was very upset that Hillary Clinton wasn't successful in the presidential democratic primary against Obama. She told me that she was ****** off with Oprah for supporting Obama instead of Hillary. She felt Oprah should be supporting Hillary with her being a woman. I just felt like she was resentful about black women voting for Obama. She even told me that black men got the vote before women did. I just felt much racial tension between me and her with a white woman like her running for president against a black/white man like me. I didn't even vote in the democratic primary. It was only until around the end of February,I wanted to Obama to win. California had already voted before I had made my decision. I tried to be neutral about the democratic primary. All I cared about was a liberal being president. After the Reverend Wright fiasco, I felt like we were worlds apart when it came to race relations. I didn't see much wrong with what Wright said (I disagreed with the AIDS crap), being a person who is part Black that understands the racism that many Blacks go through. I know what it's like to be called a "nigger" growing up in a diverse California. She was a white woman that grew up with no racial diversity in Vermont,New Hampshire. I sent her stuff about racial relations to help her understand that racism is still a problem in USA.

but any ways...I became a member of National Organization for Women and began monthly donations to Equality Action Fund June of last year, furthering my belief, support for women's rights. I was already a feminist at heart, stemming from having strong feminine traits, high estrogen levels. Ironically, NOW was formed exactly 5 years before I was born. Therefore, we have the same birthday and Sun conjunct South Eris Node. I believe that Eris has to do with equal/civil rights, advocacy, and that it's not all about discord, controversy, and troublemaking.
I am a believer in gay rights and support gay marriage. I voted against the proposition that took away gay marriage rights in California. NOW is just not a women's rights organization but also advocates for equal rights for all people.

also in my 2007/2008, Moon in Gemini in 12th conjunct Ascendant in Gemini, but it was oppose Jupiter in Sagittarius in 6th conjunct Descendant in Sagittarius, and that was squared by opposition of Venus in Virgo in 4th and Uranus in Pisces in 10th.

Therefore an angular grand cross of Moon,Venus,Jupiter,Uranus which was a sign of major relationship trouble that can lead to break up.

Solar Returns do play out.

check this out

My exgf's first Saturn Return is on the same day as My October 28, 2012 Solar Return

She has Moon conjunct Saturn in Scorpio in 7th conjunct Pluto in Libra in her natal.
so her Saturn Return involves her relationships and her mother. She might realize that her happiness is just as important as her mother's happiness, and that she shouldn't care what her mom thinks but live her own life with whoever she's in loved with and has a relationship with.

there is a part of me that wishes that a man does her life she did me. That's just me being human. There is another part of me that deeply cares for her and just wants her to be happy.

interestingly, natal Mercury-Venus is conjunct my 2012 Solar Return Imum Coeli and natal Mars is conjunct Solar Return Descendant. Sun-Saturn conjunction in 3rd trine Neptune in 7th, sextile Pluto in 5th. I read that a Solar Return with both Pluto and Vertex in 5th tends to indicate having a child. It looks like a solar return focused on communications,relationships,romance/children.

Raymond

------------------
“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

Pluto is conjunct my Solar Return Ascendant this year.

Unfortunately I haven't felt the effects, all I know is that something intense is going to happen to me that will be transformative, because my solar return Ascendant is in Capricorn and Saturn is in the 8th house and my SR Sun is located in the 7th house, so it has to do with relationships as well, but regardless of what my SR looks like, I know that there are a lot of things I still haven't experienced and really want to before...

What particular planet are you referring to, that is conjunct the ASC.?

Oh, weird, what a coincidence! Do you feel like something intense or transformative will happen to you this year? The only thing that is confusing is that Pluto is RX in the SR, so the transformation maybe on the internal level, perhaps?

My SR 2011, was very intense. SR ASC. in Leo conjunct SR Sun/ Moon/Venus. SR Sun/Venus were in the 12th house and SR Moon was located in SR 1st H.

My self-esteem has tremendously boosted in this last year. Most of it has to do with finishing school and realizing I can actualize my goals. But I used to always be such a self-doubter and constantly fear the unfamiliar. That has changed so much. I'm not nervous and unsure of myself when I'm at unfamiliar social settings. Especially in the past two months I've lost jealous reactions that I used to go to when I felt insecure. Its all gone. I'm positive and compassionate and open minded.

Although I've suffered a lot of monetary loses athough, SR Mercury rules 2nd H and is located in SR 1st H opposite SR Neptune in 7th H.

I'm looking forward to this year's SR!

In terms of predictive astrology. Course I may just be crap at reading Solar Returns. You never know
Solar Returns for my significant life changing yrs were unremarkable, but looking at the solar arcs / sec progressed / transits proved v.insightful. I want my information up front. I use Planet Watcher combined with the option Natal, progressions and solar arc combined* from astro.com. That's it. Noel Tyl has a resource book on the subject, Solar Arcs: Astrology's Most Successful Predictive System; there's a preview on Google Books and Amazon.
