We've known each other since we were both very young. Our relationship has had so many ups and downs but there's still this intensity. I guess the best way to describe it is that it feels absolute, like it doesn't matter what happens even if we don't end up together.

I'm usually a very realistic person and I guess what drives me crazy is that I can't figure out the attraction. We're very different but understand each other on a level I can't quite explain.

The birth times are exact, and I'm on the inside.

What I'm mostly curious about is the cluster involving his Sun/Valentine/Ani (name asteroid I use for myself) and my Karma/Isis/Davida (asteroid used for him)

I'd also like to know how exactly to interpret DNA and how to apply it in Synastry.

DNA-Valentine conjunction in synastry usually means that genetically, you both have the combinations to attract each other for a long term relationship. This involves the genetically decided pheromones and stuff which makes you a great combination, what others may call a beautiful pair.

His Sun/Valentine/Ani (name asteroid I use for myself) and your Karma/Isis/Davida:

Saturn cnjunct DNA can point to "same origin" kind of thing. this might sound weird/wrong lol XP but well, how to explain, it might point to some kind of "same soul group" or a kind of past life connection, if one believes in such. Although I'm interested in iQ's interpretation about Valentine/DNA conjunction.

Your AC conjuncts his Black Moon Lilith. BML in a guy's chart is usually related to the woman that the guy would kind of relate with "female fatale". The kind of woman he can't control, but has the control over him. The kind of woman he would feel attracted to, yet makes he feel insecure/powerless at the same time. And what's more, you have Mars/Venus conjunction there too, which makes this more powerful.
His Venus seems to be squaring your AC/Mars/Venus, so I guess that this might even make him more confused/powerless.

But well, your Sun is conjunct his IC, so he feels familiar, and probably comfortable with you, when there isn't too much tension from attraction, unless he's actually not that uncomfortable with it (from the BML conjunction and Venus square).

Aww, I've just noticed that your Uranus/BML conjunction is conjunct with his Neptune while oppose his Sun, as well as trine his BML and your AC/Mars/Venus. It seems that he idealizes you, while you give him some headaches at the same time, like some confusion/insecurity. But well, on the other hand, his Moon is also conjunct your Neptune, so you care about him, yet you might get confused about his emotions or idealize them.

I'm not sure what to think of our relationship. I think it's what initially got me into Astrology and yet, I debated for a long time about posting our charts because even to me it sounds silly.

I'm not sure if I believe in soul mates but knowing him does feel very fated. We did try dating a few years ago and then he left very abruptly without any reasons given. This sent me into a very deep depression that lasted a few years. Everyone thought I'd lost my mind because it shouldn't of been so serious.

I guess it sort of felt like he was trying to "break" our bond while this was happening. We've managed to become very close again. I think anything was better than us being completely apart.

As far as anything "romantic" between us it's up in the air. I love him dearly, and I've made my feelings clear on numerous occasions but after he "left" he avoids the subject all together. I think this comes from a fear of hurting me again.

In the process of us overcoming those issues I went through many ups and downs and always told him whatever was on my mind (which probably caused a lot of those headaches you mentioned. xD) He's never even raised his voice to me. He just smiles.
