Hi everyone!

I've been reading this site lately, and there are so many knowledgable people...I used to be a member a while ago and now am back to astrology.

I've recently had a situation of frustration involving someone whose genuine interest I was never sure of (one day, he was asking me to talk to him, giving me compliments, and another day, he'd talk to everyone under the sky but me, he'd stare, but not talk, the list goes on....so after two month's of "what's going on?", I said forget it, earlier last week.)

On the flip side, my friends and I have been getting closer...and I've realized that the friends I've had, have been around for half of my 25 years on earth. I do well in friendships, my friends are like family.

"Relationships" with guys haven't gotten off the ground...repeatedly. There's always some level of attraction, but nothing concrete has come of one yet.

So I've been wondering if there is something in my chart that would explain having long lasting friendships and next to zero relationship experience on the other hand...

Any insight would be appreciated!

hi sweetlove

I am curious about this too, as my best friend is 25 and has never been in a relationship either, but has long friendships too. She is a Cancer sun Capricorn moon with a Sagittarius ASC.

She has:
Sun opposition Moon (2)
Mercury square Saturn (2)
Mercury square Mars (4)
Venus square Pluto (0.5)
Uranus conjunct ASC (exact)
Uranus conjunct Eros (exact)
Uranus/ASC/Eros trine Mercury (1)
Pluto sextile Neptune (exact)

I think she doesn't let her defenses down to be vulnerable to love/hurt. She is a Cancer with a Cappy moon and has abandonment issues from childhood. She has a really lovely sweet personality but can get very defensive and jump to conclusions. She is really intelligent and also very opinionated. I have seen her flirt with other guys and she is nothing but sweet with them though. So I'm not sure what it is.

((HUGS)) sweetlove..
I do wonder if there are any astrological pointers to this. The moon opposition sun or in your case moon op. saturn is a bit of a hard one I think.

ETA: It's interesting to note that your suns are opposing, and so are your ASC/DC!

Have you tried putting Eros into your chart to see where it lands? Maybe the Eros/Uranus connection might be something to look at?

I think I remembered how to post my chart...
http://www.astro.com/tmpd/czigfileIPmDmQ-u1149385859/astro_2gw_05_me.74332.22408.gif ?23166

Thanks MsCandeh for your reply...that is really interesting info about your friend and how our charts are kind of in reverse.

I added Eros and Psyche in my chart, just to see...

Eros is in scorpio (5th house) not surprised....and is conjunct saturn....I guess I'm really serious about relationships.

I don't know how to deal with my moon opposed saturn...but I would imagine that would be it. I love the 7th house emphasis b/c I think it lighten's the chart up...but it seems my house placements are just SOO..here's that word again.."serious." Good thing I have gemini rising!

I wish I was better at interpreting charts.

What's interesting though is that my friend is exactly 6 months younger than you (13 July 84) ... your moons trine each others (23 cap) and her moon cj your sun. Her sun is opposed yours (21 can). (Funnily enough your moon cj my Sun at 22Tau lol)

But anyway this isn't really helping! hehe

It would be interesting to get some insights from others.

Your moon is in your 12th house, perhaps you keep your emotions hidden? (And this also opposing Saturn) ... there's a website that I find really helpful with interpretations of the natal chart: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/saturn-opposition-moon.php and provides good advice. Saturn opp Moon suggests that you reserve your feelings, and don't readily express yourself. Also, having your moon in the 12th house will magnify this.
"A balanced approach to fulfilling responsibilities in a more relaxed, emotionally responsive manner is required; and much depends on transforming attitudes and feelings. If this is achieved, limitations will progressively dissolve as emotional stress is released, and a new feeling of liberation grows. With emotional freedom comes the dismantling of those inner barriers which have prohibited creativity and imagination; and taking these steps may reveal previously unexplored and unrecognized talents and abilities."

I love the advice this site gives with aspects!

I hope that's helped some

ETA: Eros conjunct Saturn suggests you are reluctant to let your guard down.

Obviously I'm not sure what you are like IRL! but going on the aspects... maybe you need to focus on letting your guard down and turning your loving energies outwards so that you can attract someone special into your life? ...Instead of keeping everything bottled up. XP

Please don't get offended if you aren't like this... I'm just learning to interpret charts XD

SweetLove, at first glance, I really didn't notice anything that would cause male relationships to not be more plentiful.

You've got Jupiter conjunct the Descendant and your Venus is Sagittarius, its also opposite your Ascendant in Gemini which might explain that you like lighthearted friendships rather than serious commitments, even though your Sun Cappy in the 8th might say otherwise.

What I believe might be the challenge in your natal chart is Moon opposite Saturn. Saturn is in the fifth house of romance and pleasure and opposite your moon in the 12th house. Saturn can represent men along with the Sun and Mars. So, I always look to these planets in natal charts of females because it can reflect challenges with the opposite sex. Your Moon represents the feminine and it is being challenged by restrictive Saturn in the house of romance so I speculate that maybe you want a stable relationship that is Saturnian and spontaneous at the same time since you've got Sagittarius Venus.

I also think that with your Gemini and Sagittarius vibes, this seems to influence males relationships in a more platonic way.

I can totally relate to what you are describing, Sweetlove. I've never been in a long term relationship and I've got Gemini Venus and Sagittarius Ascendant so were opposites with our Venus and Ascendants but similar enough! My Sun is also located in the 8th house as well, the problem with this placement for the Sun is it wants intensity and passion but that doesn't blend well with Gemini and Sagittarius...

Without looking too much, friends is house 11, partners house 7.
Having lots of friends, or even good ones should be reflected in your natal.
Similar for lack of partners. A badly aspected 7th is likely.

While the 7th is the 1st place I would look at regards partnerships, maybe worth checking out house 1. While 7th indicates relationships, the opposite house - 1 - is non-relationships, or in other words, someone who is single.
Maybe the drive for being single (1st) is greater than the need for a parner (7th)

And the 5th house I think has more influence on partnerships than I think it is given credit for. It rules romantic affairs and in this day and age most people are not getting married or at least a partnership doesn't imply marriage anymore.

I also noticed something else in your chart that I forgot to mention. You have a Mars - Pluto conjunction, which could mean with men - Mars you seek nothing or everything. I have Pluto in Scorpio in the eleventh house, and boy do I have this problem. I have intense friendships that are long lasting but very few friends or at least to my liking.

"I do well in friendships, my friends are like family."

That sounds like your Venus/Uranus conjunct in Sagittarius talking! I have the Venus/Uranus conjunct as well, but in Scorpio. My relationships, whether serious or not, always start and end abruptly, usually from friendships or they end as friendships; they are usually very intense no matter what due to the Scorpio influence.

For your conjunction in Sag the influence is a little different. Venus/Uranus aspects like to have freedom in their relationships, which is only doubled by the Sagittarius influence. So, even though you may want a relationship, subconsciously there may be a little part of you that says, "NO! I don't want to give up my freedom with someone, but we can be just friends."

Your second progress chart show your progress venus conj your natal sun, 1 degree orb in september 2013. Big loveaspect.

Don´t wait on love. You must live your life who is best for you. You are so young. Don´t be pressed for time. You don´t get of love. It´s better to wait and get what you really want.

So true, Popcorn!

I've always been inpatient in general thanks to being a Leo Sun with Aries Mars, but especially when it comes to anything considered "romantic." I think maturity helps with being less inpatient, but today a new spurt of impatience came out today when I had to go to Jury duty!

Poporn-

No, what you said was not taken in a bad way! I was just refering to what my friend said to me a few days ago.

MsCandeh-
I definately feel that it is that Moon/Saturn and eros conjunct Saturn...
that has a lot to do with it. Especially because my moon is also in the 12th house, which means that the defenses I put up are "instinctive" to me.

I've done some meditating these last few days and I've come to realize that I need to relax and just trust people more. I think that even though I've wanted to experience relationships before, I still had my guard up! I was sending all this conflicted energy out into the universe; and the universe gave me back "conflicting" situations.

So, my goal is open my heart and be open to the possibility of light coming into my life

Whew, that was deep!

Vertiver-
My chart has some definate opposing ideas of it's own-Gemini rising with a capricorn 8th house sun? Haha.Yes, I do like communicating with others (Sag/Gem), but I want intensity-I am wondering who I will meet that will compliment these qualities!
If a planet is conjunct your descendant-is it also conjunct your ascendant?? Does that planet have more a major role in your personality?

Thanks for all your replies! :-)

I've got that Moon/Saturn opposition too, and I've never been in a relationship ever. I'm considered attractive, strangers tell me out of the blue every day they find me pretty but it's not about that. This aspect is like having this great big wall saying "don't touch". So people watch us from afar I think. It's quite sad cause while I long so much to be with someone, when I realise I may have a chance to get what I want, I choke, shutting down completely. I cannot let anyone in. I also have Mars in my first house, and the ruler of my descendant is Uranus in the 4th house, which makes an exact square with my Mars in the 1st. I guess that pretty much says, I'm dying alone. :P

The Moon square saturnus or moon opposite saturn in natal are one of the best driving force aspect you can get in a chart.

One more powerful and successful aspect you got to search for.

Sometimes the aspect can give you an more deeply and depressing character but so what. You livs and develops.

That aspect do you to an builder of your life

You are not going to be alone forever! :-)

I think that you have more power of this situation than you think (Mars in the 1st house is very strong! Think of what you could do with all that spunk and originality!)

I feel that people can definately sense reserve and acknowledge a guard-which has been SO true for me. I hadn't realized until recently. So I totally understand where you are coming from.

It is good that you can realize what is going on...a lot of patterns occur in life and people never stop to see that they exist. It is better to know the "why" of something, than go around asking "why?" because then you can fix the situation.
