Beginning mid-August we have two MAJOR events that will blow out any remaining hesitancy or confusion about what's working, what's not, what is the problem, and what is the solution to the problem. We have a Mutable T-square and "A Critical Degree Jamboree" T-square of tremendous import coming between Mercury at 1 Libra, Mars at 1 Cancer, and Pluto at 1 Capricorn. This time will coincide with major events of all sorts.

Due to its uniqueness, the Critical Degree T-square does have potential to coincide with major events of any and all sorts, geophysical, political, economic or any other thing that shifts directions in hard ways. Whatever happens connected to the late August Cardinal T-square creates the space for what will show up March 2010 and expand in a big way in June. And yes, it will be beneficial to the 30 Cancer Solar Eclipse effects, especially due to Venus' degree at the T-square.

Today we discuss the Mutable T-square with its implications for larger long range developments we're already in the middle of. Tomorrow I'll offer more insights into the coming Critical Degree Jamboree T-square at 1 degree of the Cardinal signs.

We'll begin to feel the coming tensions mid-month due to Mercury forming its square to Mars from Virgo to Gemini. Saturn will also be a big player in these energies due to Mercury's conjunction and Mars' square before they configure with Uranus. This begins a powerful Mutable T-square between Mercury, Saturn, Mars, and Uranus throwing the void into late Sag. This culminates between August 16-23, and should yield a new dedication in the area we have late Sag in our charts.

It will most impact those born the 3rd weeks of March, June, September, and December, as well as those having Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto in late Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces. Mutable signs break up what was stabilized and redistribute the energies that are then used by the Cardinal signs to bring about new beginnings and initiatives.

The Mutable T-square will no doubt be associated with seeds of things from when Pluto transited the area around 26 Sagittarius, as well as December 2007-January 2008 due to the Superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury in December at 26 Sag influencing the immediate period afterward. Look to things uncovered, sprouted, purified and/or transformed between the Spring of 2005 and December 2007 to be the focus of the problem or the need. February, March, and May 2010 will be important for renovations and/or endings symbolized by Uranus in this T-square due to Pisces transits.

Immediately after that Mutable T-square, as Mercury and Mars cross into Libra and Cancer they make the Cardinal T-square with Pluto and initiate the emergent energies to come forth in some dramatic if insecure ways. The last week of August is especially important, since Mars is still within orb of its square to Uranus setting the blend of the T-square and Grand Cross into action.

Since Uranus is in orb of making it a Grand Cross, it factors into the mix. However, being out of sign, mutable, and in long range approach to 1 Aries its effect is still "of the old way" since it brings Pisces to the event. This gives a combination of Cardinal T-square energies modified by a very powerful, absolute Spiritual Mutable Water influence and anticipates what's coming when it moves into Aries where it will be joined by Jupiter beginning June 2010.

Some ideas about how these Mutable and Cardinal energies will work: T-squares integrate and release power. Grand Crosses diffuse energies in competing directions. I suspect both of these will manifest in some way.

In part 2 I'll go more into the Cardinal T-square and offer more about what we can expect and how we can best deal with the energies.

Astrology in mid-to-late August 2009 - A Critical Degree T-Square Showing Upheaval, Shifts, Reorientations, and Emergent Possibilities - Pt. 2

We now enter about 2 weeks of a very wild ride thanks to the Critical Degree T-Square Jamboree, with potential to break through and reorient consciousness in dramatic ways. Events will play out through the houses where we have early Cardinal sign energy.

The players are Mercury at 1 Libra, Mars at 1 Cancer, and Pluto at 1 Capricorn. Mercury heralds signals and messages of major things to come, since it occupies early Libra. This is the area where Saturn will crystalize important new roles and duties for many between late October and August 2010. Whatever message we get at this T-square will be re-evaluated during the Mercury retrograde in September, illuminated by the Sun at the Autumnal Equinox, and pulled together in our lives in October when Mercury, Venus, and then Saturn occupy this critical degree.

Mars at the Summer Solstice point in Cancer is sure to precipitate major shifts and reorientations. With both Mercury and Mars afflicting Pluto, it's time to maintain equilibrium and positivity without letting distractions deflect us, and make every attempt to cooperate while getting behind inhibiting factors. Hasty decisions and actions are not favored, and be on the alert for aggressive or extreme elements in situations.

These types of aspects teach us how to moderate our actions and views, finding the right balance between "right effort" and being too assertive or coming on too strong. It's definitely a time to be very alert, and shift as needed as long as it doesn't lead to counterproductive effects. When deciding anything, try to take the law of unintended consequences into account.

As I mentioned in part 1,

The Critical Degree Jamboree T throws the void into Aries, showing the potential problem but also the solution to whatever tensions come forth to be released. Simply put, this T-square will bring us all "out of the unconscious" or out of collective experience in some way, where we will all find ourselves facing a new form of "beingness" or emergent selfhood.

Whatever is released by the Cardinal T will be expanded, revolutionized, and blown out in major ways when Jupiter and Uranus conjunct at 1 Aries in June 2010. May be good, may be bad, but it'll definitely be evident. As the Cardinal signs begin to predominate, things will start rocking and rolling due to their initiatory quality. New dynamics, new initiatives, new beginnings, major shifts in focus and expression all are features of this Critical Degree Cardinal T-square.

This particular T anticipates the major cardinal crosses to come in 2010 when the Saturn-Uranus opposition squares Pluto and the inner planets complete the square in spring/summer 2010. The overall effect, including many aftershocks will last until early 2012, after which Uranus no longer powers up 1 Aries. At that point the earthquake is complete and all should have individualized into a new sense of self in an emergent world.

That said, Uranus will continue to square Pluto for years to come, indicating a time of radical and widespread social and individual purification and transformation, with seeds of a new Individuality hitting a turning point relative to the collective power structures.

Given each time the Moon moves through Cancer it makes a Cross with planets in Aries, Libra, and Capricorn, It would seem to be a season of Grand Crosses appearing and disappearing at critical moments for some time to come.

Of particular note are August 22, when the Moon in Libra initially triggers the configuration (anticipating the Mercury square Mars on August 25-26), and again August 29, when the Moon in Capricorn puts the focus on the Pluto in the T. These times herald or set up important developments to come in October.

Specifically, when the Moon moves through early Cancer October 9-10 just as Mercury re-enters 1 Libra and squares Pluto. This also throws the void into 1 Aries, precipitating events directly related to the end of August. Another important day is October 16, when the Moon enters Libra conjunct Venus while both square Pluto.
