Hi folks, I KNOW that singular aspects in a Synastry-chart (or whatever chart) don't help much ... And I used to post looooong threads with many, many infos and details here already.;-) Currently, I just need some plain, basic encouragement, concerning a Synastry (relationship) ... so I ask you: Are these Vertex-aspects promising? Maybe some of you have real life experience with these and want to share some ideas on these?A's Vertex cj. quote: Use of the Vertex in astrology is debated—some astrologers swear by it, and others question its validity. Those who use the Vertex generally feel it is a point of karmic or fated connection. Some consider it a point of "wish fulfillment". It is perhaps most widely used in synastry. The Vertex is said to be activated at major turning points in our lives, most notably when we meet a significant other or end a significant relationship, and some believe it is triggered when there is a birth or death.I use the Vertex in all of my astrological work. In synastry, it is often prominent in significant relationships: one person's personal planet or ASC conjuncts or opposes the other person's Vertex, generally conjuncts. I use a rather tight orb of 2 degrees. These interaspects are not present in all significant relationships, but when they are present in romantic connections, there is a rather common theme in place: the individuals meet and do not fall in love right away. In fact, there can be some feeling of reluctance, and, unlike South Node connections in synastry, they don't feel an instant sense of recognition. When they do fall in love, it is much like an "epiphany"(1)—sort of on the lines of "Wow, I really do like you—I didn't expect this!" The feelings come "out of the blue" and in a rush of feeling.

B's Vertex is activated (Vertex conjunct NN, Vertex opposite Venus). The aspects to A's Vertex don't really do much.IP: Logged |

Yes, thanks for the Info! And, AMOWLS: "B's Vertex is activated", you wrote. Actually, I am person "A" in this Synastry. Hm. I feel SO affected by this man ...!!! I also know that he can't let go, too. But sometimes I get the impresson, it's harder for me to leave that (failed) relationship alone once and for all times. There STILL is something going on, neither of us can let go. I'm really a skeptic, as far as "fated/karmic" blbabla is concerned ...!!! But this time - this story is lingering on for almost 3 years now, and was completely down for at least 2 times already, really: bordered to hatred on both sides. (We also have Pluto cj. Venus in Synastry.) SO: I AM THE PLUTO SITING RIGHT ON HIS VENUS - AND I AM THE NORTH NODE SITTING RIGHT ON HIS VERTEX. PLUS: His EROS sits right on my IC - and his ASC is conjunct my MC (which means: his DSC is conjunct my IC) We never seem to be able to split ... and currently, I am not sure, whether this is a curse or a blessing in disguise. (It rather feels like a curse....) HELP, someone help me please!!! ;-) IP: Logged |

The Vertex part just causes a fated meeting of the energies involved, is my guess. The relationship itself is a combination of the rest of the energies like the Pluto/Venus. I know that seems obvious but it seems like you are focused on the Vertex as if that will tell if the relationship is fated to last, and the Vertex just causes the meeting and tells what energies were in action at the time of your meeting if it is the vertex of the event of the meeting itself. You were fated to share the energy that touches his Vertex and vice versa, but that won't tell if it will continue etc... unless you look at how Saturn relates maybe? Thinking... Are you trying to figure out what the relationship was fated to mean for you or teach you? Maybe that is the info you can find in those Vertex aspects.

B's Vertex cj. A's North Node (exact)Wouldn't this one mean (you are B, right?) that you are fated to influence his direction in life..? for example. You can do the same with the other aspects and explore what is fated about your interaction. A's Vertex cj. B's Moon/Venus-Midpoint (2 dg) Like this one means he was/is fated to experience and/or blend with your emotional and loving nature? Something like that.
