New to Lindaland, hi to everyone

Wondering how those people who have planets in the early degrees of Capricorn (or other Cardinal signs) are feeling with the Pluto in Capricorn transit conjunct or tightly aspecting your personal planets? This has changed so much in my life so far and has been quite unsettling. It feels more like a Uranus transit, but with slower moving change. Pluto is transiting through my first house at the moment.

The Plutonian theme is transformation I guess. Perhaps emotional extremes could manifest themselves?

I'd be curious to know how it affects other people too. It hasn't squared my Moon yet, but should in the next couple of years. Then it should conjunct my anti-vertex.

Currently it's trining my Venus/MC/Sun and sextiling my Saturn/Pluto, which has been rather nice actually. I wouldn't say it feels like a Uranus transit (those are really like WTF? for me), but I would say that there are some added benefits that have significantly changed the way I look at things

i don't feel anything much,

its opposing my jupiter tightly, squaring my venus tightly, and will square my moon in a couple years tightly.

its in my 5th house.

its currently trining my sun and conjunct uranus.

My Sun is at 5 degrees Capricorn. My Moon is at the last degree of Virgo, and my Pluto is at 4 degrees Libra.

Transitting Pluto is in the mix of what's going on in my chart, but I don't think it's been the primary culprit for me lately. Saturn and Uranus have been making t-squares with my chart for some time.

So I really don't have a comment about Pluto yet.

Welcome to LL, neptuneinfirst
I have Venus at 02Lib11, so I've had two hits from tPluto so far. It *has* been a challenge -- how I feel about what and who I value *is* changing. But they say about Pluto transits that you really can't judge how much or how you've changed until the transit has passed, that it's difficult to see your transformations while you're still transforming
Makes sense.

Thank you for all your responses.

Azalaksh, thank you for your welcome and greetings to Minnesota :-) Out of interest, which house is your Venus in natally? I fully understand when you say ‘how I feel about what and who I value *is* changing'.

MysticMelody, when you say ‘I am getting boiled in oil by Pluto’, this sounds nasty, where is Pluto placed natally and what is the transit touching?

AcousticGod, that makes sense, as a Capricorn you are Saturn ruled like me, your Sun is within one degree of my Venus. I think Saturn transits can be tough. You must be feeling Saturn approaching with your natal Moon in Virgo and also Uranus opposing your Moon?

Bob Marks Astrologer says: ‘Pluto packs a punch. When it hits you, you know it. Whatever it contacts in your horoscope gets “transformed”. Pluto is death and rebirth, decay and regeneration. It is very difficult to hold on to something that Pluto is trying to take. Sometimes it is just better to let go. Pluto also rules obsession. An almost insane desire to possess a thing, or a person. The negative side of this planet is more likely to come out during the stressful aspects. The smooth aspects (trine and sextile) can strengthen whatever they touch.’

There's no doubt in my mind that Pluto transits are powerful. Perhaps having Venus at the early degrees of Capricorn I am feeling the Pluto transit slightly early and much more intensely, I do have natal Pluto square my Capricorn Sun so maybe this could be impacting things.

Pluto is transiting Capricorn for the long term, approximately another 14 years. That’s an awful lot of transformation for those with planets in Cardinal signs?

sun and mercury in capricorn in 9th, mars in capricorn 8th house 1. early in the year, pluto was exact conjunct my mars. was in terrible car accident which required hospital stay and surgery. was on disability, then lost job, lost home, lost car, had to put education on hold, (1 yr left to graduate) unemployment took forever to come thru (6 mos), had to relocate and broke up with my BF after 4 yrs. pluto has given me some peace since it went retro but i'm scared when it goes forward. needless to say, i've been on antidepressants and in therapy. it has not been an easy yr and there many yrs until pluto leaves cap. pluto is all about transformations and hopefully i went thru the destruction phase and i'm moving onto the next. i cant do it all over again.

cappy1277, I am so sorry to hear of all the things that have happened to you *hugs* from across the Atlantic. As a fellow Capricorn, I can only say I fully understand what you have been through and how hard things must be for you right now. You have much inner strength as a Capricorn, I know that, and also people who care deeply about you.

Pluto is also about 'rebirth' of your life in all aspects.

I read this about Pluto transits:

'Though Pluto can take us to a hopeless place, there's always a rebirth on the other side. It's a planet that transforms whatever life energy it touches. And it does that by shattering the outer structure, so that the core gems can be ferreted out. That nucleus of what's real and true, becomes the foundation for the new...'

'Remember that no matter what life presents us with, we have the ability to survive, to use our courage and awareness, and to enhance our survival and that of those we love, if we believe in ourselves and keep doing the best we can'.

Sending you positivity and healing. x

believe me, survivor mode has been kicked in to high speed. i never let it take me out but tried to see what lesson i was to learn from all this. i took it to the spiritual side. i guess i was meant to slow down. before i was a full time mother, full time student and full time employee. like my ex always told me, slow down, you have the rest of your life. but now i am enjoying myself doing absolutely nothing but spending time with kids and enjoying them. guess pluto got me good, i was running from everything instead of confronting it and letting it go. but i did it and i feel more at peace. still hurts but I'M ALIVE!

it's on my Mercury currently and honestly, i'm not so sure what it's doing to me. i strongly felt it when it was conjunct my Sun 2-3 years ago, especially together with the Saturn return. maybe i'm more spiritually aware.

it's opposing my uranus which is in house 5 and with aqua rising it's very personal to me. hasn't hurt much yet but i have noticed rumblings and sense the need for a change coming closer...

it squares my aries daughter's sun while her pr sun is opposing her natal pluto! and yikes, is it OBVIOUS. there is not a front on which she is not being pressured to breaking point but so far she is taking it amazingly well...

to me pluto in cap is ducks-in-a-row time, universally. so if it hits you personally i think whether it hurts or not it will force some major reorganizations.

and of course, it's not just pluto, with the mars(cancer) and mercury(libra) fast approaching, so it's probably more noticeable right now than it will be even in a couple of weeks!

I like the analogy of a butterfly for describing Pluto transits...

In Bill Tierney’s book Alive and well with Pluto: transits of power and renewal, he makes reference to the image of butterflies going through metamorphosis.

-Goodbye Old Cocoon!

‘I bet that is what every butterfly thinks when it first takes wing and looks back at the dark, empty shell that used to be its reality. The same goes for us when a fulfilled Pluto transit allows for a successful metamorphosis and the chance to show the world our greater light. For some of us, our rejuvenated self-insight illuminates a path where we can have a powerful impact on the collective’

Whether the change is very slow or instantaneous I think depends on a number of factors. Personally, Pluto has slowly crossed my ascendant in the last 5 years. I think if it touches any house but especially the 1st, 4th, 8th and 12th it can bring about major impact, the 1st house being of the self and the others intuitive water houses. The eighth especially as it is Pluto's natal home.

Cappy1277, it sounds like your ex had your best interests at heart, is Pluto is making you miss him very much?

I came across a really nice website which people might find of help and hopefully I am OK to share with LL: http://www.lynnkoiner.com/astrology-articles/survival-tips-for-the-pluto-transit

lechien, perhaps it is slowing transforming the way you express yourself to the world and to those close to you, depending on the house placement. If you don't mind me asking, what did you feel when Pluto transited your Sun, and in which house is your Sun natally placed?

letram, in which house is your Venus placed, natally?

Letram, perhaps the transit will be more subtle to you, affecting / transforming perhaps how you communicate your feelings (3rd house) to those close (Venus conjunct. Mercury?)

Cappy1277, could I ask what sign your ex is? I am learning that the energy of Pluto affects us in ways we can not even comprehend, on many levels too - physically, (the pressure manifesting itself) psychically and karmically, and very powerfully so. I understand your feelings of missing him. There’s nothing lighthearted about Pluto transits, it’s all about depth of feeling.

neptuneinfirst, my Sun is in the Sagi 1st house (btw my neptune is also in the 1st ) when Pluto was on it, i went through a serious transformation. i used to be reckless, insecure, and was not centred as a person at all. it coincided my Saturn return and it was a VERY painful period. but i came out as more confident and a conscious thinker of the environment i am in. i felt a lot of pressure and fear, uncertainty, but also the strong drive to "get to the other side".

my Mercury which Pluto is being friendly to right now also is in the 1st house (but yea, in Capricorn).
