So I'm thinking that soon it will be time for me to start creating art as a side to my full-time graphic arts job. Probably just paint on the side and sell on the internet through Etsy or Ebay via a blog. Maybe within a year or two do some gallery work. Any opinions? IP: Logged |

Aka Kat that is amazing!! I'm really happy for you that you are able to have a profession doing what you love... apart from a performer, I've always been an artist as well so I always find other artists to be fascinating What kind of art do you do?Also, I am no expert, but I would agree. It looks like it would definitely be financially fruitful for you to do art full time with that transit Stellium in the 2nd! I wish you the best of luck! IP: Logged |

You have a chart of someone who would benefit financially thru work that is emotionally connects with other people. Art is able to communicate to others, that words arent often able to do. Your chart shows me your art(creativity) is your destiny, this is something I feel you feel should definitely pursue. I feel like you'd be able to reach into people's subconscious and really speak to them. Money wont be always easy with but it will have its high and its lows. Next year looks good for finances and moving into a bigger place or city. Good luck with your passion.IP: Logged |

E- I am a graphic artist, my background is in illustration and I have held jobs ranging from graphic design, surface/textile design, carpet design teaching art plus a lot of other non-art jobs in my younger years. I deal with print instead of internet design. I have very strong skills in painting especially realism but it has taken a back seat to my job. At this point in my life I feel a strong need to contribute in my own way. At my job my work is constantly rejected, changed, and dictated and its getting old.moving? Where does it say that! I do plan on moving, but not to a new city at least while I'm employed. I have a good job with a good income and I will keep it while I start to do my own thing. I like the comment about touching people's emotions. I try to do this with everything I create. I plan on starting with small daily still life studies and then hopefully find a direction with deep moody themes. IP: Logged |

I completely understand with where you are coming from aka Kat! I know what you mean about feeling stifled as an artist. I too have always felt that I need to contribute to the world in some way that affects people in an emotional sense... maybe it's our Pisces Moons? I've always had a strong need to be able to relate to people and better understand the human condition. I'm a lifetime student of human nature and our interactions with each other. So your background is in illustration? That's very cool! I would love to see your work ... I've always loved drawing, painting, illustration, etc. but my parents were not very supportive of my interests and thus prevented me from developing them properly. Did you go to school for art or are you self-taught? Best of luck to you! IP: Logged |
