Extremely special love, but NO GUARANTEE of longevity. Only Saturn connections can suggest longevity. But yes, Venus conjunct, square or opposite the Nodal Axis is a very special love connection.

Why not Venus conjunct Venus. That would seem so easy, like being in love with someone who thinks and feels like you do.?

I have it - but with my best friend, I'm the North Node person. We know each other since we were toddlers-almost like sisters, having no secrets and are always there for each other.

In a relationship I only had Venus trine NN - there was much understanding and lots of fun between us.

I was asking because I have this with a guy and no matter how many times we break up and go on our seperate ways the **** just won't go away, I feel haunted and have always felt that way when we seperate..It gets to a point where everything around me points to him in some kind of way, I feel drawn to him..The last time we split I did not think we would get back to this place but its starting back up again after 3 months of seperation..And its not me being obsessed. I am sure he is feeling or almost feeling the same thing..But I am doing my thing..

We have Venus conjunct/NN and Saturn..And moon conjucnt Sun..

Some say that it is karmic too...so that is why you keep coming back together.

if you also have venus cj saturn, that can be binding too but be aware that it might cool things off.

my
moon/venus/saturn/NN opposes someone's mars and quincunx's their pluto.
my NN trines their juno/karma

Their
NN conjuncts my sun/mercury exact and squares my AC
Their NN opposes my juno/karma

Is that deemed as healthily binding, do you think?

(sorry, having major problems posting!!)

My ex husband and I had this. His Venus on my NN. My Saturn also opposed his Venus - we were together 5 years, almost. We were very much in love, and married. It's the longest relationship either one of us had....
No, it didn't 'last', but I'm pretty sure that had less to do with astrology and more to do with our problems.

I had this with someone. I was the NN.

It was the one unrequited romantic situation (from my side) that I've ever been in--I have always (before and after) had great intuition about who was attracted to me. In this case, I thought there was an intense thing between us, and it turned out he was not interested in me at all.

It was definitely the most unpleasant experience of my romantic life so far, and probably ever. Very souring. I've had relationships that didn't last before, or near-misses where we were both very attracted but we never got together for various reasons, but never something like this.

He acted like boys used to act when I was a teenager and they had desperate crushes on me but were too intimidated to make a move--but we are 30+ and it turned out he just never wanted us to hook up! I felt like he was sending me mixed signals for a year.

One of two things was going on:
a) I was completely obsessed with him and delusional and my usually excellent intuition failed me because I somehow went crazy
b) He WAS attracted, yet lied about it and decided to reject me anyway

Either way, really yucky...and I think if it was option a, the NN-Venus had something to do with the one-sidedness.

The NN is supposed to be about learning experiences, but I haven't learned anything from this one yet.

I felt extremely special love. He apparently felt like I was no more alluring than the deli guy.

I suspect that other factors play into this its not just about the Venus/NN conjunction by itself..Free will and other things are usually involved..Maturity as well..

I agree, Just Mia. Similarly, there's no reason to presume that because people have this (or any) particular aspect, they will feel love or attraction for each other.

Justmia and Lucia, this is why I believe that synastry is activated by attraction. Doesn't matter if two people have 100 of the most beautiful synastry aspects, it does not mean that either or both parties will be attracted to each other. But if one is attracted to the other, then the one that feels the attraction will probably feel the synastry aspects. If the other person isn't attracted, then you have a one sided attraction. And if BOTH are attracted, kaboom lol! The aspects have the potential to play themselves out in the relationship.

This is just my humble opinion.

------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon)
And yes, i'm a guy!

I guess that Venus would be the one who is attracted coz the NN person "is destined" to feel loved by the Venus person. And the Venus person's love can be helpful for the NN person.

GG, I agree with you, BUT, I've debated this with DD in the past, because synastry is actually SUPPOSED to show whether there will be an attraction, or not.

Of course it can't--we have synastry with everyone in the whole world, and even among people we meet, it won't all be "activated" to the fullest. I'm going through a skeptical-about-astrology phase lately, though.

I think in a Node-Planet conjunction, the Node person is the one who feels it. Sometimes, depending on the rest of the synastry, the Planet person can then see him/herself reflected by the Node person, in sort of a double-mirror effect.

I wonder if it would work somewhat similarly with the MC ... Midheaven aspects. Like Venus conjunct MC. Would that be similar to Venus/NN?

Hi Just Mia,

I have had this aspect...and it produces a FEELING of fated attraction and intense love. It is not, in and of itself, a guarantee of longevity, as Geo, Lucia, and MVM pointed out. What you described with the on again, off again but it won't go away sounds like Uranus is somewhere in the mix. BUT the "won't go away" part could be a symptom of that Venus/NN connection.

After it was all said and done (I was the Venus to the NN person), I felt like my loving him unconditionally through things he was going through was the purpose of our friendship.

I agree with GG in terms of who you are attracted to. In a group of people, the one (and he is generally considered attractive and has the best personality) who has all of his personal planets in my 7th house and great synastry w/ me feels nothing more than a friend. I ended up dating his buddy who I didn't have such great synastry on paper, but feels more "comfortable" to me. We also had our progressed Venuses (lol...how do you spell Venus in the plural) trined, so I'm sure that played into it.

MVM,

I think the NN has more of a karmic, almost Plutonian quality to it. I think the angles create a bond more than an actual feeling, in my experience.

I have had someone's Venus conjunct my AC, and it was wonderful. It didn't feel as heavy to me as the NN/Venus conjunction.
