hey! so i asked this many months ago when we first got together but now we are together in a different kinda context, so i thought i'd ask for fresh perspective. it still confuses me.

basically our composite is full of very close conjunctions to my natal.. i'm not sure how to interpret that. is it simply a matter of this relationship affecting me profoundly? that seems too simplified, somehow, for me. any opinions are very welcome!

our sun and neptune conjunct my AC (0,1 deg)
and venus (5,4)
our moon and jupiter conjunct my chiron (0,0)
our saturn conjuncts my pluto (1)
our venus conjuncts my uranus (1)

somewhat less significantly, our mercury conjuncts my eros exact, our chiron conjuncts my moon at 4. we also have close synastry with my draco (mars and uranus conj draco moon, 1,3 and our NN conjunct my draco venus at 2 deg)

anyhooz, this seems like a lot of conjunctions from our composite to my natal and i still haven't quite figured out what it means. any intuitions?

I hear it's supposed to be a balance of aspects from one's natal chart to composite... like it has to do with emotional investment into the relationship or something, and yeah, how it's effecting each person. I know it sounds simplified, but I don't know much past that lol

Ultimately (I think), the conjunctions to your personal natal planets from the composite would be more 'felt' (I would imagine) since they're closer...

I also hear that it's important to look and see where the sun and other planets in the composite fall into your natal.
For instance, in my marriage, we had an 8th house Scorpio stellium in the composite (Sun, Mercury, and I think Venus)...that fell into my natal 7th house. It fell into his 9th. In some ways I WAS more emotionally invested than he was about how we did emotional legwork as a couple (7th) .... and on his end, it always seemed like travel/life philosophies were an issue on his end in regards to me (with the stellium falling into his 9th).

I know it's not your original question, but I thought I'd share this, because I think it's kind of interesting and gives clues about how the relationship is perceived on each side

okay cool! yeah that makes sense about the houses too.. hmm, i just wonder, does that mean i AFFECT our relationship just as strongly, being a two-way street and all? i can't even wrap my head around that concept, entirely, though.

another twist to this is there is only one conjunction from our composite to his natal (comp venus conj his mecury, 3), but there are some tight oppositions, and he's libra rising with a lot of oppositions natally, so that seems to 'fit' with his pattern.

also we have three stellia. they fall in my 12th,1st, 4th/5th, and his 2nd, 3rd and 8th.

hmmmmm..

i usually read many [more than avg] conjunctions from the composite to natal as being symbiotic. for better or worse, depending on natals.

the conjunctions can be read as simple synastry conjunctions but with you and the relationship vs. you and the other person.

composite sun conj your asc: as part of being in the relationship you experience possibly more exposure to the outside world, you feel really noticed and seen. you're given an affirmation that the way you go about life is on cue and your confidence will tend to be bolstered. it's very positive and energizing. if you're uncertain as to how this differs from basic natal to natal synastry, that conj of sun on the ascendant is more apparent right up front in the latter. barring any adverse aspects the sun person would approve of the way you go about life. this isn't him [or her] saying "i approve" (just based on this aspect) -- this is YOU feeling that as a result of your interactions your place in the world has clear meaning and your stance is more defined. like someone with the sun in h1 you're given a sense that "this is who i am and i project myself very clearly."

is that confusing? i tried to make it clear. the difference is someone else saying something (by words or by their tone) vs. as a result of the interaction this is how it affects you. it's a fine line in theory but the impact is very different. what i wrote would be the basic interp. then you'd have to work in aspects affecting this from the composite [like the conj neptune, youd read it similar to you experiencing neptune conj your asc natal], thus to your asc as well, and from anything in your chart that aspects your own asc, thus the composite sun, paying more attention to the smaller orb aspects.

if composite sun is conj your venus [if i read right], just think of having sun conj venus natally and what does that spell for you? there's self [sun] worth [venus], you're feeling more beautiful or handsome, maybe an increased in creative output, more socializing going on, and people would tend to respond better to you since your venusian qualities are made more apparent [being conj the sun]. you have a lot of interest in keeping the relationship going as its identity [sun] ties into what you value and love [your venus]. that's a basic interp, listing the positives depending on how your natal venus is aspected etc. will add other dialogue to this part of the story.

looking to see if your sun/moon mp makes conjunctions to something in the composite will also stand out. probably also asc/mc since that's an important natal midpoint as well.

Lonake, I had to leave the country to find the courage to leave that relationship.
An 8th house Scorpio sun and stellium composite is no joke. It was like getting dragged into the underworld.

I'm sort of seeing someone right with whom I have a 7th house sun/stellium, and it falls into both of our natal 8th houses. Should be interesting

lonake, if i could clone you, shrink you, and perch you on my shoulder, i would. then you could whisper astrological nothings into my ear all day long and i'd be one of the happiest women out there, that's forsure. you sure know your stuff. my brain is broken right now but i read this in a spare moment when my daughter was actually playing alone earlier and it made so much sense. as for right now it's all out the window till i read it again when i'm awake tomorrow. loved it, thanks so much!
