i dont know about you guys, but these deaths of well known people have really begun to affect me. may be bc dad died in april and i never really mourned.
i know deaths happen all the time, but it just seems more pronounced than usual.
my point is, that i am trying to figure out the difference, if any.is it just me, or what.
if i am incorrect, forgive me, but a few months ago, someone noted that they were in an astrology class. they said the instructor said there would be more celebrity or well known people that would pass this summer. i think a pluto transit. i do not remember. would anyone like to discuss. is anyone else weepy eyed?

I'm sorry about your dad. I've been a bit of a mess lately too. My ex boyfriend recently passed away from cancer. We were together for about three years but had a lot of problems for the last few months before he passed. We weren't together/even talking for awhile. I've been feeling incredibly guilty the last few weeks..it's just really started to sink in. To make matters worse his family is angry with me because of the issues and the "way" I handled things. :-/ These celebrity deaths haven't exactly made things easier. I've been taking all of them harder than I would otherwise because of things going on in my personal life.

I offer you both my sympathy.

And yes, your friend was correct about the death's of prominent people this summer. The Cancer Ingress chart has an exact opposition of Sun-Pluto right on the Solstice point, or what is called the Aries Point. The Aries Point is:

0 degrees Aries
0 degrees Cancer
0 degrees Libra
0 degrees Capricorn

They are all called the Aries Point. It is a point of prominence, a public thrust. When the Sun and Pluto are in aspect to one another, it also suggests prominence so if you notice the high profile deaths are the MOST famous like Michael Jackson, Ted Kennedy, Walter Kronkite, Don Hewitt (creator of 60 Minutes), Farrah Fawcett, Karl Malden.

I read that it had to to with Pluto entering Capricorn.. clearing out the old. It must be more than that though. My friend's brother died early in the summer, and another girl I knew had her best friend die as well. It's unusual for me to hear these stories so close together. I hope whatever is causing this lays off for a while.

@ anicia, ,my condolences to you. im so sorry.

alot of us havent even gotten over michael jackson can hardly look at his face without getting sad, and now ted kennedy is gone. among so many others, i hate to name everyone; its too sad. alot of these were like a part of our (extended) family, a certain sense of familiarity for us is gone.

trying to look at the bright side of things. i agree, bopbop. be glad when this ends and we can have a sense of healing and move on. getting to be too much. guess this is a good time to remember to be grateful, and realize how precious your memories are of loved ones.

my mom's roommate/partner of over 10 years, a guy that she first met when I was a baby, died of a heart attack on March 30th of this year. On my exgf Meghann's and my shaman healer friend,Steve's birthday!
Transiting Pluto in Capricorn in my mom's 7th house conjuncting her Descendant/opposing her Ascendant. It was in my 4th house squaring Pluto in Libra in 7th.

my mother moved out and has a better living arrangment now. She can't take care of herself because of her diabetes which led to her leg to be amputated last year. That happened during transiting Pluto in 7th conjunct her Descendant/oppose her Ascendant.

my mom's Ascendant is in 0'11 Cancer, and she has transneptunian/plutino, Orcus in 0'21 Cancer in her 1st conjunct the Ascendant too. That's like having Pluto on the Ascendant.

transiting Pluto and Orcus are in trine right now too.

Pluto in 0'42 Capricorn R
Orcus in 0'37 Virgo

“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

Eclipses always highlight famous and influential people. We've recently had 3 eclipses back to back, which is rather unusual. So it would not be surprising that more famous people would pass away.

That's why historically, the sight of eclipses used to scare the living daylight out of some cultures. They felt it heralded major loss.

Yeah, WOW!! You're right, not the most famous, but famous enough for me to know who he is without having ever heard anything that he did. I knew he was a DJ who dated Nicole Ritchie for a long time before she married Benji Madden, I think he's the one.

Anyway, I was floored when I just turned on my computer and saw that. Especially since as my computer was booting up and I was waiting for the internet to load I was thinking, "I hope there's no new announcement of high profile person who has died." And then BAM! DJ AM - real name Adam Goldstein. The wildest part is that I remember the plane crash he was in last year with Travis Barker and how 2 people died in that crash. How awful.

I think it is a combo of the eclipses and the awful grand cross that's been coming for awhile.

Domenick Dunne also died. He was a novelist/reporter who covered high profile crime cases. He has his own show, which I sometimes watch.

His daughter, an actress, was murdered awhile ago. I think she was the girl in Poltergeist....?

Sad about DJ AM.
