I am taking this from a post I made in the Virgo September Horoscope thread. I am concerned about the fact that Mr. Virgo found the house already but he has not signed the papers yet. They are currently working on fixing the house. Although it passed inspection, there are things that still need to be done. My intuition is telling me that the paper dealings will take place during Mercury retrograde. I have always read astrologers not recommending signing important documents during this time of the year. But oh well, I rather have more faith in hope and optimism than in astrology itself. That is, I rather believe that nothing bad/wrong will happen. It is not as if I can just tell him, "hey hun, why don't you forget about that house until October? There is this thing called Mercury retrograde. Here, let me explain it to you". He will look at me as if I had grown bunny ears and in addition to this, he has told me that things can't wait. He wants to get out of his parents' house asap. So, is it really true that one should not sign any important documents during Mercury Retro or is this notion too paranoid and superstitious? Maybe it depends on the person's chart and other factors. What have been your experiences?

No astrologer me, but I won't encourage anyone to sign important documents during Mercury Retro. Except if it's a redo, or the commitment will last only a short while, like for an event that will take place during the retro.I moved twice during Mercury Retro. and both times I was out within three months...with a bad taste in my mouth from those experiences. If his intent for the property is a short term investment, who knows. But if he plans on making the property his permanent address, he may end up spending more money that he'd hoped. IP: Logged |

NineBut if he plans on making the property his permanent address, he may end up spending more money that he'd hoped. Yep, this is supposed to be his house for a permanent time. He is not going to rent it, he is planning to buy it. What to do? IP: Logged |

If he knows you're into astrology, maybe you can just tell him. Maybe it's an individual thing, how has Merc Rx treated him in the past? IP: Logged |

WHAT DOES HIS CHART LOOK LIKE? (Hint: Post his chart) This question is so important, and people always seem to forget this when it comes to things like mercury rx. Mercury RX is different for everyone. If he has a natal Mercury rx, it will help the ease of signing papers during rx, actually it probably wont be a problem at all. Does he have many planets in rx?I personally wouldn't recommend ever signing papers during a rx if your mercury is direct. Geminis and Virgos are very strongly effected by Mercury rx's as well. Theres so many things to consider. IP: Logged |

NineI don't think it has treated him as bad as Saturn in Virgo. The only minor thing I have seen is issues in terms of communication but other than that, nothing. But of course, it is not as if he was doing business of this kind during the previous Mercury rx phases. I don't think I paid much attention as a whole since it does not affect me as much or differently, maybe because I was born when Mercury and Venus where retrograding (if I remember correctly). Yes, I am thinking about telling him. I mean, he is very open about my non-ordinary beliefs and practices; magic being one. We shall see his reaction. IP: Logged |

WritesomethingThanks a lot. Wow, I just checked both of our charts and we both have natal Mercury and Venus Rx.... I don't know what it means but I am just going to assume that these phases are more positive than negative for us. Interesting. Thanks again. IP: Logged |
