I would like to know what happens when transits hit one's progressed chart. I read somewhere that it is the transits of the progressed chart that actually reap noticeable results, and that the transits on our natal chart are usually psychological. I've been looking for where I read this, but I can't find.  Also, Geocosmic Valentine mentioned that when using Solar Arcs as a predictive tool, we should pay attention to "hard' aspects like conjunctions, squares... quote:
For Solar Arcs you should only look for Conjunctions, Squares, Oppositions, Semi-Squares (45 degrees), Sesquiquadrates (135 degrees) and Quindeciles (165 degrees).
this from here Does this "hard" aspect policy also apply to transits on the progressed chart? Lastly, for transits of slow moving planets on the progressed chart, if the natal chart signifies psychological or inner activities, how would the external influences show themselves? I always thought it was the opposite -- progressed and transits are psychological, but natal and transits are real. IP: Logged |

i think what unmoved said kinda made sense like when saturn had ended retrograde at 14 degress it was square my progressed sun and that was a really bad transit hitting progressed sun.and thats when i was depressed that was something i had never been threw before one of the hardest times in my life so far. i tihnk its important when tranists hit your progressed charts it has alot of influence.
watch out for those who have a saturn square progressed sun transit coming. i think its important to look for anytihng that might be an influence whether it be natal progressed or draco transits. anything that hits anyoen fo those three charts will affect you in some way its just hard to tell which chart is creating the influence. Agreed! Also, as far as transits on progressed and natal are concerned, I think that the transits on the progressed chart activate the ones on the natal, so to speak. I hope that made sense. IP: Logged |

well i can understand that. but i mean when transits activate your progressed chart it wouldnt cause anything for your natal birthchart because your progressed chart is different from your natal. its a completly different chart. you may have the same venus or mars and outerplanets in same one sign but in different degrees and the aspects for your progressed chart is different then your natal chart.i think progressed chart cant activate anything in your natal tahts just my opinion but i respect yours unmoved and i can understand what you mean. but i think progressed charts are who you are now in this time not when you were born.
so when a transit that is happening now hits your progressed chart means something is affecting you now. if what i wrote makes any sense. IP: Logged |

I hear you DT. I meant for example, say on a particular day: tSaturn conjunct nSaturn
tMars is square prSaturn Then would this would tell me that something external will most likely happen physically on that day? That's what I am asking, because Saturn on both progressed and natal charts is activated, by tense aspects from a transit (two different ones here). I hear you though DT.  IP: Logged |

well when you put it that way i guess it could. i reah some wher ethat natal chart is like your sun its who you are as a person. your orgressed is your asc who you are right now on earth. and helicentric is what your like inside.and draco is your dark twin side. i dont rember where i read it but i remeber that.so if anything transits anyone of those charts then yeah a huge affect could happen. and if there is alot of harsh aspects inall those sharts espeially lets say to saturn then yeah youll feel it. oh unmove di miss the old days where we talked about anytihng for hours good too be back.
