Weekly Weather September 14, 2009

“It’s complicated” is one of my favorite choices on Facebook. “It’s complicated” completely sums up what the week’s aspects are going to feel like in our lives and in our world. We ALSO have a “two page week” which long time readers know means the heavens will be QUITE busy attempting to provide us with guidance and information as it took over a page to communicate the aspects.

So as a result, this week we are going to have an “it’s complicated” kind of column. Part one you are reading now ~ the overview. Return early Monday morning (late Sunday night) to get the daily part. I want the illumination of the Mars occultation of the Moon at Noon Sunday before I publish the daily part ~ that occultation says to me I‘ll be missing something big if I publish before that. Return on Friday to get the New Moon column (or sign up for an early edition newsletter of it on my website). It is going to be a rocking and rolling week here on Planet Earth! A complicated week!

Complicated: 1) having many interrelated parts: composed of many interrelated parts and so difficult to understand or deal with; 2) difficult: difficult to deal with because of the need to take different relationships or points of view into consideration. 3) folded: used to describe things that are folded lengthwise, for example, leaves or insect wings

Mid-17th century. Directly and via French from Latin From Latin complicat- , the past participle stem of complicare , literally “to fold together,” from plicare . complexus , the past participle of complecti , literally “to weave together,” from plectere “to plait”(see plexus)

Plexus: 1) anatomy network in the body: a network of nerves, blood vessels, or other vessels in the body; 2) complex network: any complex network or interwoven structure.

Complex: 1) complicated: difficult to analyze, understand, or solve; 2) having many parts: made up of many interrelated parts; 3) interconnected whole: a whole composed of various interrelated parts; 4) influence on behavior: a set of related feelings, ideas, or impulses that may be repressed but that continues to influence thoughts and behavior such as a guilt complex; 5) exaggerated feelings: an exaggerated or obsessive set of feelings about something (informal) He has a complex about eating in restaurants.; 6) chemistry compound of nonmetal and metal atoms: a compound in which nonmetal molecules or ions form weak bonds (coordinate bonds) with a central metal atom.

Like I said, the column will be in parts as there is so much going on, interrelated, folded together and moving as a energy force. If you could draw a line linking all the planets together, you would see that there are a bunch of planets talking to each other. When that happens the planets retain their own perspective and point of view but they also chime in to the group chorus and contribute their energy to the mix. However, like all complex systems, some of the planets are more shy in groups so they don’t talk, they watch and listen.

Think of meetings you’ve attended where you were silent, present, paying attention but you left the meeting with a mixed instead of a firm opinion afterwards. And the mixed opinion probably WASN’T what the meeting was intended to form. The mixed opinion made YOU question or look at things very differently. You were feeling quite different despite what was being said in the air around you. The feeling in your GUT was “Nope, I don’t quite believe that. HOWEVER, I am NOT sure WHAT I DO believe. Its complicated!”

Such is the energy of the week. Your job this week is to stay in touch with ALL the varying levels of mixed feelings even IF someone is urging you or telling you to pick one or choose this over another choice. Therapists have a term for the state ~ Cognitive Dissonance. I want you to sit in a state of “Cognitive Dissonance”. Love it. Own it. Relish it. Feel the dissonance. The state of mixed emotions.

The place where you experience the cognitive dissonance is the MOST important thing to notice. It will feel like you are rocking between two choices ~ neither of which are completely what you want. Rocking and feeling compelled to choose. No choosing. Sit in Dissonance. Cogitate upon it.

Think about what, why, who, when and where you are differing from what the other wants for you. Know what, why, who, when and where you want to build or create something. Think about where you want to impose structure and MAKE the other person or situation DO what YOU want them to do. Think about where you want to JUMP up, shout “NO, you can’t make me!” really LOUD and run away ~ breaking free from the confinement, restriction or control.

Technically, Cognitive Dissonance applies to the state of mind AFTER the decision was made where you look for supporting parts, arguments, facts or details to back up your recent decision. People buy a car, a major decision, and then they look for supplemental proof that they made the proper decision. People don’t like living in a cognitive dissonant state ~ they seek to resolve it.

This week Cognitive Dissonance takes place AHEAD of the decision and ALL WEEK LONG! However, the emotions and situations this week will NOT be able to be resolved so neatly and cleanly with the sticker price of the car and your knowledge of what you wanted versus what you got. Part of you knows what you want. Part of you doesn‘t know. You actually get much further in your process if you sit in the meeting and notice the dissonance that appears in your stomach without feeling you have to fix it immediately. Just notice it. Absorb it. See where you want to go. Don’t go there but notice it.

The other thing that will happen this week is you will get CLUES! (Don’t you love cosmic clues?) The universe will communicate to YOU what is going on via clues. They will be lying right there for you to see. Notice the clues. Pick them up. Put the clues in your pocket to read on the way home. Mull on the clues. Again, make no decisions based on the clues but notice them. Add them to the cognitive dissonance pile swirling around in your belly.

You know what is going to be happening in the week ahead of you. Where do you feel you are going to be bouncing between two conflicting states of being. Mull on that. Notice what comes into your mind around 12:10 pm Eastern time. That was a clue!

More later. Come back for the daily forecast.

Just what I needed this week...........

But as they say.. forewarned is forearmed! So I guess this isn't a week to make big decisions then?

This really hits home for me as just before coming on here I had the most interesting conversation with my ex (my work ex) ... so this work week should be FUN. hmm .. and we are meeting up for drinks after work one night this week (yeah yeah I know I shouldnt!!) ..

I had an I-ching reading recently .. number 33 came up (it was actually a 13 or 33 reading but I resonated with 33 the most) ... When negative forces predominate, a well-timed retreat will lead to success. Essentially.. withdraw slowly and don't take your eye off the 'enemy' (or wherever the negative energy is coming from).. I think this week sounds like that. Consider everything and don't say a word. (totally going to be doing this when we go out for drinks). Though not just negative energy... I have no -ve energy coming from the ex at the moment (quite the opposite) but will make sure I am well-prepared to take what he says and just sit with it.. and try to bite my Aries Mercury tongue!

Life Story... sorry

DIANA!

Please help! I am having a blood vessel problem in my arm that may possibly be a blood clot. I can't find a human being at the insurance co to answer the phone to get me my pre-authorization for an arterial study that I NEED to have. The arm is getting worse, and the vein is sticking up and now creeping upwards towards my neck.

My appt at the vascular doctor has been cancelled and rescheduled awaiting a reply from the insurance co.

Can you tell me yes or no by what you've written here, if this problem will be solved this week??? Thanks in advance.

I didn't write this. Anne Ortelee did.

I think you need to take care of this, insurance be damned. Do you think you need to go to the ER? If so, go.

Are you taking omega's? If not, take a good one. It will thin your blood, making a clot less likely. Failing this, take aspirin. It also thins the blood and that's something you may have in your home. Take the aspirin every day until you get your test.

I wish you the best and am praying for your health.

I had not thought of aspirin! Yes, I can do that.

I know you didn't write it, I just thought you might have an opinion, it was so weird to read that when it is actually happening to me.

I may go to the E.R. if I don't hear something soon, but having worked in the medical field, I know they will probably say, something like, "make an appt with your family doctor and get a referral to a vascular specialist.." Because they are set up for emergencies, you know, not really stuff that requires study and long term analysis.

But thank you so much for your prayer and reply!

I think you should go to the ER if you feel it's necessary. You know your body and what's normal. They will take it seriously. They have to...you're not going for a cold.

Why did you think I would have an opinion? I'm curious. Haha, I did.

Because people usually don't post about something (even if it is somone else's writings) if they don't have an opinion on it.

"Do Your Saturn!" is Anne's famous catchphrase
You're doing your Saturn when you go for your dream, when you put your nose to the grindstone and do the work it takes to make your goal, when you accept your challenges (Saturn's sign, house and aspects) and face your fears, use your natal/innate skills and abilities and trudge down the road instead of running away or hiding from the stern taskmaster.....

The rewards will come, in stability and success
