That is the synastry and composite of my parents. They have been married for 35 years, and even though there has been hard times and a lot of turmoil and also discussions about different views on things, their love for each other has been constant. Can you see why this is so? What tells us astrologically that these would be a loving and lasting match?

Looking at the synastry. Jupiter conjunct NN - growing together and then Saturn sits on the SN so they are bound together. Look at that Psyche on NN & MC. Venus-Saturn conjunction - binding love. I know Saturn can be viewed as restriction, but it also brings longevity and stability. Sun-Destinn conjunction is sweet. Double whammy Karma-Union. Venus on ASC is beautiful. Eros on DC - well, actually, there's a few rather sexy points between your parents - not that any child, no matter what age, wants to think of their parents in that way, but it's there in the chart. I'm sure that helps a lot in long-term relationships.IP: Logged |

Thank you all for your input. And I agree with each one of you. And yes, it seems as if t hey are still in love with each other. At least they are still holding hands, and especially my father is very affectionate with my mom, hugging her all the time. Not bad for a man with Sun, Venus and Jupiter in Aquarius. Unmoved,
do you mean Uranus? IP: Logged |

God, I love Jupiter conjunct NN. I have this with somebody--I am the Node--and although there are many ways we will probably never be a couple, I just LIKE him in this pleasant, unconditional, optimistic way that I rarely feel for anyone.IP: Logged |

PA,yes, they do have some binding and sexy aspects, I agree. "- not that any child, no matter what age, wants to think of their parents in that way" No, not really. But it is difficult to ignore in their case. lol Diandra, "Oneīs Juno exact cj the IC:..well this one is really nice as your mother sees your father as her true committed partner,at his deepest core" Yes, I think that is true. There is a lot of trust between them, and neither my father nor my mother are naturally people who trust easily (at least not anymore).
On top of that my father, as charming and witty as he can be, is more of a loner, and I think if he hadn`t met my mother, he probably would have stayed single. "C.Pluto on the ASC---this must be hard?how is it showed?is there manipulation or power struggles?" Yes, but not between each other. It is more the family that is mingling in; my mom especially had been suffering a bit under my grandma (mother of my father), nothing really bad, just annoying stuff; I guess that happened because they were living in the same house. My grandma also tried to manipulate us children a little bit. But it was manageable because my father and my mother were in much agreement about the important things and my father would support my mother in almost everything she did. Also, the father of my mum moved into our house after his stroke, and she took care of him until he died some years later. This was of course also exhausting. But yes, those manipulation issues definitely come from the family. Interestingly their composite stellium in the 5th house falls pretty close to my Sun on 26 Sagittarius. "C.SATURN uranus in 3rd- does your parents family played some delays or instability in your parents union?" Yes, relationship with brothers and sisters have been complicated or unusual. When my mom and dad married they decided to give my aunt a new home; she is my mother`s sister and was about 8 years old at that time. Their mother had died 6 years before, and since my grandfather was working shifts, the two younger children were living in an orphanage during the week and would come home every weekend and whenever my grandfather didnīt have to work.
The relationship to my two uncles is even more complicated and plain difficult. ONe of them is not really capable of taking responsibility of his own life, especially financial matters, and my grandfather, as well as my parents had to help him out quite a bit during the years, through financial and emotional support, and basically they are taking care of him, too. The other uncle won`t talk to us anymore, because he feels neglected, I guess. But noone really knows what is going on in his mind. Anyway, long explanation to just say, jup you are so right. lol " im trying to improve my skills hihihi" You definitely succeeded.

DD, lovely grand water trine they have going on too in the composite. And in that they also have, what, the ruler of the 7th (Uranus) in the 11th? No aspects to personal planets, along with Jupiter (if I am seeing correctly). I would think there's just a lot of optimism with them, and a very close friendship. Plus, 5th house is so much fun! In the long term, I would think it would be important to be able to have fun together.... and it seems like they do!BTW - my stepfather is an Aqua, married to my mother for 26 years... he's always all over her physically, touching her, until she can't breathe That 'detached, aloof' Aqua myth is just a myth, believe me LOL IP: Logged |

MVM, " would think there's just a lot of optimism with them, and a very close friendship." I wouldn`t necessarily think optimism, but they are definitely future oriented and humanitarian; both are involved with organisations assisting mentally handicapped people and their families, which of course could be be, because my brother has the Down syndrome.
Friendship - yes. They DEFINITELY are true friends and partners, and they love to discuss, even though sometimes one of them will go off pouting for a while.lol " Plus, 5th house is so much fun! In the long term, I would think it would be important to be able to have fun " Well, it is not really a "party like fun", but they sure enjoy spending time with eachother. Actually they are just on a trip to Italy together right now. And will be undertaking another short trip with my brother next month.
Oh and of course children are their priority. Us of course, but also other people`s children. I often wondered if that Chiron in 5th house might indicate, that they are having a child, that needs "special"care and nurturing (my brother with the Down syndrome), and of course my other brother, my aunt and me have been quite a handfull, too, in the course of the years. "... he's always all over her physically, touching her, until she can't breathe " That is exactly how he is with my mother, even down tothe "she can`t breathe" part. Actually when he stopped working, she would be complaining sometimes, that he NEVER leaves her side and was following her around all the time. Haveyou ever thought a scorpio with Cancer ASC would complain about that?
(she has Uranus in 1st house though). Well, my father has Moon in Taurus, maybe that makes him a bit more affectionate. Cause I do recognize the Aquarius-detachment in myself (Moon in Aquarius) and also in him, when it comes to other people. IP: Logged |

Yeah, DD, I have a friend of mine with Aqua moon and she's not exactly touchy-feely. Taurus would def have some impact - Taurus anything makes a person more tactile, I've found.Although....my dad is a Gemini moon. We don't know what his rising his exactly lol. And my mum's a double Aqua... touching in general freaks her out, while my dad loves to smush himself against her and she freaks out It looks like your parents have a good marriage When I said fun for the 5th, I meant fun like just having fun together (not necessarily parties... just general enjoyment)... and of course children as well. It sounds like they are very well-matched (I'm always tickled when I see marriages with sun signs that are out of the norm).. but I would think the antiscion/solstice point thing would work out nicely with an Aqua and Scorpio, making it simpatico, even if the degrees weren't close. Yes, they are well matched. I feel very privileged to have parents who love each other so much. Even though my mum admitted just recently, that it might have been tough for us children, as she and my Dad were in so much agreement about principles and education, and it gave us little space to experience being able to assert ourselves AGAINST our parents, as they were just too strong together.I thought that was an interesting thought. Anyway, yes, Ican definitely see the Taurus Moon of my Dad there. Also even for my mum it sometimes gets too much. But then he is not ALWAYS like that, it is more "eruptive" and sometimes pretty surprising. lol Also, we are no touchy feeling family actually, we are quite reserved. It`s a strange dynamic.
