Just because the term EROS grabs me totally by the throat I could't resist to take a look at this placement in my own chart, not only in my own but also in others.

Wow...

I'm obsessed by Eros now!

My Sun is conjunct (3 degr.) Eros in Leo in the 12th!

This Eros(-house) sometimes wakes up through injury, suffering or confinement.
In my case: it sure dit!
Unions in this house make short work of the traditionally acceptable and they may embody an extreme bitterness, yet their potential for transform is infinite (wow..). The very taboo and suffering quality seems to make them all the more potent.

Yes, my current SO is fifteen years younger than me (not acceptable, especcialy in his environment).
When I was younger I slept with MUCH (grandad-age) older (rich) men, my suffering knew no bounds.
At this life-moment I want ‘back to the beginning’, to the pure innocent (but REAL passionate) love that I never knew and experienced, the reason why I attract and want to attract much younger than myself.

I saw this Eros of my parents exactly conjunct each other! (age-difference around 20 months)
My SO has his Eros also exactly at that place (huh??)

...and my Eros is opposing (3 degr.) THEIRS.

Hm....even JUST Eros is tooo much,
I’m overwhelmed by things I said/Not said....

So, euh....are there more striking Just Eros Matters to share?

edit 2017 @ pffffft WHAT I said and HOW I said it all here... (but I won't wipe a thing ;d)

Yes, I am fascinated with Eros, too.

In my chart he is exactly conjunct PAN and VERTEX and exactly opposing Sun-Moon-mp (ERos being on 21 Cancer).
DESTINN is on 23 Cancer.
CHIRON is on 20 Aries.
SAPPHO is on 21 Libra.

But even without the other asteroids, I always found that interesting that he falls exactly on my Vertex and opposing my Sun-Moon-mp.

Mir, my Eros is also in Leo! I'm certainly a sexual showboat with a need for speed, flair and undying, constant worship. Unfortunately for my Eros, though, he's buried in my otherwise empty (AND intercepted) 3rd house, so he tends to sneak up and surprise people (myself included).

In aspect, my Eros is involved in a 0 orb Sextile Pattern (two sextiles and a trine, connecting to form a triangle) between

Eros @ 4 Leo
Uranus @ 4 Sag
Mars @ 4 Libra

but is also square my Jupiter @ 6 Scorpio!

I wonder, how do you experience Eros in your life?

Is it something YOU express?
Is it something you are attracted to in others?
OR is it both?

I'm not really sure how Eros relates in my life. I get a lot of crushes on Capricorns, but I figured it was because Saturn is conjunct my DSC.

I hardly ever had a crush on a cancer or even someone with many cancer planets (I just never met someone like that), but I DO crush on Capricorn and Aries.
But then my natal Venus is in Capricorn and my Dr Venus is in Aries.

*Pssst Aerial... although I intend to keep PSYCHE for another thread (Just Eros makes me still scatter-brained)...... I feel the need to say: SHE (my Psyche) is exactly on your Eros at 4 degr. Leo / ..and yes, also conjunct my own Sun!*

But passion in words in the 3th.....can imagine/feel the surprise!

Hey Sharon,
My parents (dad died) had a great marriage/mainly intellectual passion with each other.
In another way my mom had a more dormant erotic nature, my dad adored/worshipped her and she needed that to open herself more...

EROS IN TAURUS:
seeks the indulgences of sensuality, be they in the dinning room, on the
artist’s canvas or in a king size bed. He finds joy in tangible pursuits that revolve around
making the body, or the bank account, feel good. He longs for transformation yet
paradoxically dislikes change and upheaval.

EROS IN 8th:
Eros in the eighth house has
an increased desire to experience the erotic on a risky, often taboo level. Throw out the
rules and enter the depths!

Generally I am not a 'floating gravel' fan, but whilst I am taking time out from work, why not. Mine is also in the 8th house, and conjunct the Sun (who is over the border in the 7th). Sign? Gemini:-

quote:
He uses knowledge as a lure, his mind as bait and his wit as reward. He also uses these intellectual instruments as a bastion against the pain and suffering of the emotional world.

Eh?

A laugh, joke and a bit of a flirt helps the day pass. There's more to it than that but it's an 8th house matter, it's a secret. I'm not telling you.

I have Eros conjunct Pan in Taurus [Venus is also in Taurus but wide]

Eros is also conjunct Algol and MC and Trine Psyche and ASC in Virgo.

Progressed Eros is conj Prog Venus and Natal Vertex, sextile Prog Vertex.
Prog 16 Psyche is exactly trine natal Venus right now.

I had a strong dream about flowers last night, Peony's were prominent.
watched a movie about Georgia O'Keeffe recently..think it had any effect? Laughs.

Eros is conjunct Pan, too, and also in 8th house.

And I dreamed about legs in blue jeans last night.

And who the owner of the legs was will remain my secret. 8th house.
Sometimes those dreams are so secretive that not even I know what they are about.

Wow, Mir! Does that mean you have Psyche & Eros conjunct natally? What does that even FEEL like? I'm involved in a Psyche/Eros relationship right now (in Virgo, I'm Psyche) and I can't even wrap my head around what it must be like to feel that inside of me ALL THE TIME.

I rarely, rarely experience contacts with my Eros by other people, for some reason- I don't know many solar Leos personally (I have no house of Leo, thanks to interception) and rarely meet people who have any Leo influence in their personal planets. What year were you born, if you don't mind my asking?

I did had one friend whose Psyche in Leo was conjunct my Eros (by 2 degrees) and our friendship was VERY intense. Never sexual, but still very romantic in spite of our connection being strictly platonic. She was very jealous of my other friendships, and we wrote each other flowery, long, hand written letters all the time after she moved for college. When the friendship ended I literally had to "break up" with her, and it was messy messy.

Not too many people talk about how Eros synastry plays out in the relationships of people who aren't sexually involved. My best friend, for example, has a tight Psyche/Eros conjunction with her father.

Wow yes, I have

See:

Eros @ 10 Leo
Sun @ 7 Leo
Psyche @ 4 Leo (Thanx God in the 11th!)

An orb of 6, yes that has to be significant as: Psyche/Eros midpoint = Sun!

And yes,.. as this (eros/psyche) conjunction in a natal could suggest a high degree of Self-satisfaction and a feeling of Self-completion, good for confidence but unlikely to support positive relationship interaction, simply because one may lack a driving need for another.....wow....written on my body! (we haven’t even included the Sun so that may be more worse!). It may seem a little paradoxical when I’m talking about my SO but deep down in me there is something that can’t thrive within an inauthentic union and as to me it seems all inauthentic, unreal, amphibious......even with him in the overall picture A union (again) that surely embodies an extreme bitterness. Sometimes I ask myself if this little moments of paradise are worth going on....

I’m from ’71. Only the Sun/South Node in Leo happily enough (otherwise it would be really toooo much).

The only one I know with a conjunction to my Psyche is this boy-friend (Eros @ 3 Leo) of my sister (they’re in a {interracial/my sister is white} relationship for 8 years now). And yes, for some reason we seem to look like each other! He is also AS intense as I am although I absolutely don’t feel romantically drawn to him - how could that be to my brother-in-law.
It’s just that kind of similar & recognizable energy that’s constantly palpable. I even said that by repeat to my sister because I really can’t deny it.
So yes, I definitely can imagine what this must feel like in synastry on a romantical level!
I can only think (even thought it many times in relation to this ‘brother-in-law’ – energy):
this would be too much for me! But: he definitely has the power to bring me back alive when I become a little life-tired.
