Hi all
Can people share their experiences with relocating and relocation and astrocartography charts? I always fantasize about moving and I'm going to be applying to grad school at the end of this year so the whole thing is very much on my mind.
I've lived in the same place my entire life (close enough to where I was born) so I can't really distinguish those influences. All I can really speak on is the influence of the Moon DC line- which I have going through Paris. I've been there a few times, and although I've never stayed long enough for anything to really manifest I can say that I get overwhelmed with a nostalgic/emotional feeling every time I am there and all I can think is that I wish I was with someone to share it!

What about you guys? Any notable experiences?

I would also check to see how your Moon is aspected in your chart natally to find out what else is going on. Alot of the time when people look at astrocartography they tend to either focus on one or two planet lines that or on the map, or they just look at the relocation chart alone. Because no matter how good that Moon looks in a relocation chart, it might be badly placed within your own natal. Right I live next to a Saturn IC line, and according to my relocation chart I have Moon/Jupiter in 1st house, Mars in 2nd house, and Sun/Pluto in 5th. But I am so unhappy right now, I feel this has been a tough location for me so far. I've had to deal with alot of depression and serious misunderstandings with people all the time. It's really a weird feeling to be surrounding by many people, but feel completely alone, its like having a wall between me and others emotionally and it sucks. In my natal Saturn is naturally in 3rd house and it isn't aspected by anything else, so its functions by itself. I figure since now its on my IC which is the natural home of my Sun, it makes it more repressing...I will take a Pluto or Jupiter line over this one thanks. Did I mention I hate Saturn IC with an uber passion?

Well, I was born and live on my Pluto line and it has not been a picnic since birth. it says..."Crossing Moon/Pluto /

There is a tremendous potential for transformation in this region, but deep emotional disappointments and tensions may affect your stay here. The path towards catharsis under Pluto's guidance often leads through a valley of tears, but once you are throuht it you will receive completely new insights.

Mighty energies operate under this crossing. Repressed memories, past emotional hurts and unprocessed fears come into consciousness to make you look at events of your past which you thought were long forgotten, as a result of which you experience cathartic releases. You begin to gain control over your inner processes and are no longer at their mercy.

Try to accept these transformative forces. If you ignore them, they can surface as obsessive behavior or come out in confrontations with other people. Should you, however, succeed in abandoning your old habits and detach from past patterns and dependencies, you can definitely cross out the past. "

I really don't like the Pluto energies here...

However, when I went to Nova Scotia last year I enjoyed it. My chart changed to something nice and it got my Mercury right out of my natal 12th....it went into the 10th and I think it would be a good place to do stand up. My moon conj the Rising degree and I noticed that I didn't have my sensitivity issues there and I do here.

My Favorite place would be in the Lower main land in BC as my jupiter line runs right through that area and I have always found that the people there are friendly.

Relocation charts are really fun. I've used the charts on astro.com and have found that places in the US that they say are good, are just that. I live in an area which is the worst place for me astrologically and have always had the urge to leave, but something has always held me back - supposedly it is negative Saturn energy.

I really should be living on the west coast which has great venus/Sun aspects. Other areas like the southwest and southeast US are also good. I'm really drawn to those places anyway and when I travel to those areas, I feel like a big weight has been lifted from me.

In other parts of the world - Paris through southern France and west Africa should be good. New Zealand is good for retirement. Mostly many of the best places are floating out in the Pacific ocean and off the coast of Ireland, so unless I want to live on a boat...

Relocation charts are also good for showing where it is good for your career, family life, etc.

K, noob question but there isn't any specific planet line on any of the places that I want to go to. Like, it's just a big ol gap between lines. The closest line I have to where I live now is Chiron, but the actual line is like a hundred miles away. How do I read these charts?

If a line is about a hundred miles away, you will feel its effects, you can feel most lines within 400 miles from a vicinity, especially if you have lived there over 6 months to have time to let that line aura set in lol. But of course the closer that line is to your area the stronger the energy will be. Lines that are crossing are more difficult to deal with, because they effect an entire latitude/longitude even if they are a thousand miles away. So even if you have a Venus ASC line going right through a certain spot, you could have a Moon/Mars crossing many miles away but at the same latitude as the one Venus line and you would still feel it. As far as Chiron would go you would just see the area your at as a place of healing or people that need healing. And then you would have to look to see how that that planet line functions in your relocation chart(what houses are brought to life by this move) and whats going on in your own natal.
