...in your chart would signify times it would be bad to travel?

Last year my friend and i went to Italy and she got attacked in the face by a Doberman in Rome. I checked her transit chart at the time, and I couldn't see anything in there that would denote that it was a time that would be dangerous to travel.
So, it made me wonder if there are any other transits that I may be missing.

Well, Merc retrograde (unless you have it natally) and challenging transits to your natal Mercury...or planets like Mars, Saturn, Pluto passing through your 3rd (short, local trips) or 9th (long, big trips) house.

On the other hand, sometimes the same tricky transit can play out to make the travel extra meaningful, transformational, and intense. The same transit can play out in many different ways. So the trick is to just be highly careful and aware. If you are travelling during tricky transits, make sure you are extra cautious and conscientious in your plans.

Also--transits that make travel challenging were probably not the problem in your friend's chart. It doesn't sound like the problem was Rome (flight delays, transportation problems, hotel mixups)...the problem was the dog attack!!! So she might've had the same transits on a day she got attacked by a dog at home.

Check out aspects involving her 6th house and anything tricky connected to her Virgo planets or the Virgo area of her chart.

Transits affecting the 9th house or it's ruler or a planet there natally. Pluto in 9th can indicate this.

Did she have Mars, Uranus or Pluto squaring or opposing her sun or any of her personal planets or the cusp of her ascendant?

I don't even think it has to do with travel. I am sensing Uranian mischief. She would have probably experienced an unfortunate incident if she had stayed at home. Why don't you post her natal chart and give us the date of the incident, so we can put our thinking cap on and figure this out.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I thought Uranus too at first, but when I check the transits, there is no Uranus action going on. It's just passing through her 3rd house. One thing I did see was Pluto conjunct Ascendant.

I'll post her chart in a bit.
