I have transiting saturn conjunct my ascendant transit coming in November. My ascendant is in Libra. Can anyone tell me if this shows passing of family members or anything of that nature. If not, which saturn transit can show passing of the mother?IP: Logged |

It might be time to put the charts away. Is this kind of fatalistic thinking helping you in your life? Saturn is associated with the father, not the mother. But it is also associated with discipline, structure, contraction. It isn't necessarily all bad. If you are over 30 you can look back and see what happened last time. If you aren't, check out someone else's and see what happened when Saturn passed over their Ascendant. If you don't know anyone, let me help you out. My husband had this over the summer. No-one died in our family. His mother is in her 70s and will no doubt survive another 20 years or so as a thorn in my rear end. IP: Logged |

hii will have that transit nezt year,i suppose it might not be easy, but i dont think that death is going to happen. but if it does,it is each soul´s choice,we cant do nothing about it...please dont try to see deaths in this way. and i think that deaths in the family are more related to Pluto in the IC i think.. saturn over the ascendant, from what ive noticed, tends to feel like life slamming in on you and making you stand up and bear the brunt of things. if youve been slacking/immature there tends to be added responsibilities in your life that you cannot drop/look away from because the results would be very detrimental. this transit is common for someone who is about to have a child/adopt. i guess in a sense if you have saturn linked to natal pluto/h8/scorpio and the relationship with the mother is symbiotic preventing your individuation at this stage, it would make sense for that to occur. but really for me to say that youd have to have more than 1 natal chart factor to point to that, at least 3 factors actually.from my life, my mother passed on while transiting saturn was going through H8, trining my jupiter and making a loose square to uranus. i dont see saturn connected to it at all, but what i was having at that time was a jupiter return. exact. my jupiter falls in scorpio in H4, i also have pluto conj IC, which transiting uranus was squaring at the time, and natal moon square pluto, my strongest aspect. funnily enough my first child was born at another jupiter return. and thats my jupiter, transformation linked to the home family, showing itself to focus exclusively on the maternal side, birth and death as modes of connecting to a sort of internal emotional reservoir, and with each return, or big change, i was given a freedom that i hadnt had before. with my mothers death while i was young, less than a teenager, i was given an end to an abusive relationship and a freedom to state who i was going to be as a woman with no interference. and with my daughters birth i was given back that sense of family connection that i had lost in so many ways through the deaths of not only my mother but mainly both my grandmothers who were so close and who meant everything to me (this is typical of moon/pluto), really my sense of family was gone by the time i was 21, and her birth gave me the chance to re-create everything that i had with my grandmothers that was good and positive, i got them "back from the dead" in a sense, i never realized until later that i had all that to give, everything they gave me, and i could keep them alive. im writing all this because even if your jupiter isnt involved in the transit when it happens, you should know that none of it happens in a vaccum. saturn typically isnt about the mother, its typically the father and strong authority figures (teachers) in your life growing up, and thus your inner authority as an adult, and the outer authorities such as law enforcement officials. its about restrictions/boundaries and using those to your best benefit. thats why i mentioned above it would only make sense from a soul growth perspective if her death meant imposing many restrictions on you (not including bereavement, etc. unless youre particularly emotionally mentally unstable thus precipitating a breakdown, which is another set of restrictions, but im assuming here youre not) which if youre an adult would most likely occur if as a result of the relationship your personal growth is being impeded to a marked degree. but like i said even then itd have to be more than one factor. i know there will be those who disagree with some of my statements in this post (linking death and astrology) but i wanted to answer Q honestly as best i could. When Saturn conj my Asc, my oldest daughter was born - Pluto was opposite my Asc.This year saturn squared my Asc and my baby was born. Added responsiblities at home - big time! A huge life change - Big time! There were some losses that I'm still reeling from. Hard to say what saturn will do when it crosses you Asc..... IP: Logged |

@Belgz, I'm crossing my fingers this to be true. I do feel more enpowered to keep away from poor habits. It is a strong energy currently, Saturn is conj by 0° to my AC ♐. I waited several months to feel this energy. Thank you , Saturn. IP: Logged |

I noticed a surge of energy when Saturn crossed the ascendant, mostly because Saturn in the 12th was draining. And you get stronger as Saturn moves through the 1st. Like night and day. IP: Logged |

I really hope so... Saturn is still in the 12th H conjunct my ASC at 14 Sag. Its a really isolating transit, it seems like anything spontaneous is restricted and life just seems more sobering. IP: Logged |

I joined the gym a couple of weeks ago and seem to follow through in going, plus I've lost 1 pound, so I agree this is one benefit to this transit.

hmm, to be honest, I don´t feel like losing weight, more the opposite. Okay by now I am disciplined enough to pull a brake when it goes off into the wrong direction again, but losing weight was easier 2 years ago somehow. I am just not ambitious enough anymore I guess. Nevertheless, saturn crossed my ASC in november last year. Mmh, was quite a crappy month to be honest. But miraculously leading into some very tangible developments, so I guess that makes sense, and all in all feels better than the 12th house crap. Things feel more grounded and realistic somehow.
And well people say that you are isolating yourself when Saturn is prominent, for me it has been the other way around; never been meeting so many strangers, most of the just once, and having to find my way through those casual social situations; however it led to me apparently getting anchored more in that social circle, even though just a casual bystander, or maybe not so bystanding anymore. Especially due to an aquaintance who is pretty much pulling me along and into the spotlight or into meeting total strangers, no matter if it is aquaintances, fans of a certain actor or the actors themselves. LOL Curiously Saturn (and esp. when it was transiting my Neptune-Node) has taken away my ability to hide in plain sight. lol IP: Logged |

I currently have Saturn going back and forth my 1st and 2nd, I had the Saturn over ASC already in 2013 and I won't lie, both my grandmothers died with 3 months apart and my uncle who was the grandfather figure of my family, also I started to look older IP: Logged |
