Do you think its possible for a pregnant woman to create the child she wants?Eg so many pregnant women i know have always hoped and wished for there baby to be born a certain way example with blue eyes but both parents have brown eyes and then they bring a baby into the world which in fact does have blue eyes and has traits they always wanted in there child, has anyone noticed this with other pregnant women? Are we able to create what we want? ------------------ •' •.♥♫♫´°°♫ • Life is Beautiful •.♥.•♫°°´♫♫ ♥ • •Sun• Cancer •Moon• Gemini •Mars• Cancer •Mercury• Cancer •Venus• Leo •••Virgo Rising••• IP: Logged |

I believe yes, though I wouldn't really call it "creating" in the literal sense of the word. I believe in contracts or agreements that we enter into with other souls before we "incarnate". The urge for you to "create" a child as per your preferred "specifications" is not an accident or a flight of fancy. It is merely a "remembering" of a contract you had signed with a soul, a contract that the two of you are to execute in this incarnation. The attributes of the child that you are going to "create" is exactly those that the child chooses to be born with. So it's not really you that "creates" but the child. Each soul chooses a "theme", some people call this karma (IMHO, karma in this sense means it is self-imposed and not a punishment) that it wants to experience or explore within the span of a lifetime. As it assembles the details of a theme the soul is making a blueprint, which from the perspective of astrology you can view as the birth chart. All the aspects, points, angles and placements etcetera in the chart represent the details of the blueprint, or in words, "choices/decisions". Part of the blueprint is information about the parents, family and other people the child is going to have relationships with and how those relationships are going to play out. ETA: As a side note, it is not true that a person is molded/colored/influenced by the information reflected by his time of birth, but it is the other way around. The person has made a decision as to the life theme and its relevant details and then congealed all those information into a single point (a very unique point, just look at twins' charts) in time-space which translates to the time and place of his entry into the world. [As to what astrology method/style/system to use in analyzing the chart, it's up to the astrologer.] ETA2: Of course, I expect those of the anti-reincarnation/multidimensionality persuasion camp to not agree with my above beliefs, but I really don't care. To quote ORBM (*waves to orbm* LOL) "What works for you?". This is what works for me. IP: Logged |

Deux. Marry me?Oh, wait. That would mean I'd be committing polygamy. Oh well. Marry me anyway. Where did you come from? Two peas in a pod. We see the world so similarly. IP: Logged |

hahaha! Those are funny!!!Seriously though, when I was pregnant with my first child, I wanted to have a fire sign, cause I thought that would make us more compatible. Course that was impossible as she was born on Feb 28th. When I was pregnant with my second child, the due date was iffy, and I was praying to God for a Libra. I did not want a another Scorpio man in my house!! After a father, brother, and several boyfriends, I knew what that was all about. Well...he came later than the first due date and he is a Scorpio!! Funny thing about that is that he is like my son and my best friend, and just the closest person to me. So maybe karma played a part in that. Then when I got pregnant with the third one, it was a scheduled c-section, so I knew the due date, I was so excited because I was finally gettin me a fire sign in the house. She's a Leo. And guess what, we clash like the titans!!! Funny how it all works out in the end. *I didn't think two brown eyed parents could make a blue eyed child??* IP: Logged |

The mother's thoughts do have a very strong effect on the baby. Look up the "Mozart Effect". In traditional communities, pregnant ladies lie down calmly during an eclipse as the electro magnetism is very strong, and emotional outbursts may have an effect on the foetus. Singing lovingly and talking to the foetus will enhance the bonding, and possibly increase the health of the foetus.IP: Logged |

GypseeWind,It's possible for two brown-eyed parents to have a blue-eyed child. If both parents are heterozygous for brown eyes, then there is a 25% chance the child will have blue eyes. You can see this by drawing a Punnett square. Brown eyes are dominant (B) and blue eyes are recessive (b). So you have: Bb X Bb. When you multiply it out, you get: BB, Bb, Bb and bb. The first three here will give you a brown-eyed child. The last one, bb, will give you a blue-eyed child. IP: Logged |

astra: thanks for the explanation about the eye color. my sister and several aunts have light eyes. though our parents both have brown eyes my sister came out with light eyes. it's hard to explain to people when you come from mixed races but that's science for you.belgz: i'm not sure if you can "create" the child you want but it is an interesting question...but i'm not sure if i would want to create the child i want. i want it to be a surprise. i can imagine what my future children may look like but i have no idea of specifics. i imagine them being cute or happy or shy...but no physical traits. i just hope my children are healthy and are good people. You're welcome stopandstare. I think you just end up with the child you're meant to have whether that means you'll give birth or adopt. IP: Logged |
