Mercury is a busy fellow this week. Known by many names, Mercury can lie. He can speak the truth. He is Troubadour. A Story Teller. A Shaman. A Helpful Guide to the Underworld. A Trickster. A Divinator. A Singer. A Musician. A Winged Messenger carrying tales. A Gossip. A Tattle Tale. A Con Artist. A Scally-Wag. The one who knows both sides of the contested story. The Sibling. The Neighbor. The Reporter for both the Tabloids and the New York Times. Mercury is the planet who knows what you know as well as how well you know it. He knows that part of you that does all the things above. Or the part that wants to do all the things above.

This week you’ll be offered an opportunity to do all sorts of things with your Mercury. Make sure to choose wisely and pick in your best interest while recognizing all the other options available to you. Don’t use Mercury’s “lower forms”, tempted though you may be. If you use his lower forms, next Spring/Summer you’ll be caught, red handed, when Saturn goes back to hangout at these degrees and the truth comes out.

No fibbing or prevaricating or trickster tricks. The penalty will be MUCH higher next summer and will be used to evict or remove or stop you from what ever you think you MIGHT gain by using the lower forms of Mercury now. Be completely above board in all negotiations. Be completely honest and straightforward in deals made or signed. Less than honorable methods used this week, big, Big, BIG problems come Saturn, Pluto and Uranus forming the Cardinal t-square next summer.

And, yes, you can TOTALLY get away with it until then. The point is you will get caught when the penalties will be much, much higher and harsher. Higher forms of Mercury even if you don’t want to do it.

The Sun changes signs and enters Scorpio, the fixed energy of fall in the Northern Hemisphere as the leaves fall off the trees, the frost kills the plants and impatients as we settle into the ending season. Sun has many brilliant ideas about how to partner and create this week so follow them all. They will take you many places. Just be scrupulously honorable with your Mercury while doing it.

The rest of the planets are fairly quiet. All are resting up and waiting for Saturn to enter Libra. Lots of chitter chatter in the world so pay attention to what you hear and the news that Mercury brings to you. It is a good, solid and productive week where you will be able to get things out the door and into the world or launch them off onto their next phase. Push on that to-do list!

The entire week has fabulous closing aspects so no day is a bad day to get stuff out the door. It is one of those blessed weeks where very little can go wrong. And, there are virtually no void moons so there are next to no times all week that are to be avoided for doing things.

Monday, Venus is feeling a bit cranky about what went on over the weekend. Some kind of tribal energy or group energy that was not fun has her all irritated and cranky and it spilled over into today. Moon in Scorpio makes for passions that are stressed. The closing aspects are excellent so you can completely negotiate to get what you want. Just keep your head about you. Remember negotiations are a dance. You might not have your tango shoes on right now because you aren’t feeling the love. So look for your tango shoes. Say you’ll get back to them. You don’t have to go first. Gather the data. Analyze it. Scorpio Moon is great for delving into what is possible and not possible. Get the particulars and retreat to chew on the ideas until you are clear what you want. Remember keep Mercury honest and above board.

Tuesday Mercury connects you with and to the home section of your life. The aspects suggest you will expand those areas of your life or perhaps reorganize them into new form or format that supports your well being. Mercury has a sit down and chat with Jupiter that goes as follows in this excerpt from Robert Graves‘ The Greek Myths:

… ‘You seem to be a very ingenious, eloquent, and persuasive godling,’ [Zeus] said.

‘Then make me your herald, Father,’ Hermes answered, ‘and I will be responsible for the safety of all divine property, and never tell lies, though I cannot promise always to tell the whole truth.’

‘That would not be expected of you,’ said Zeus, with a smile. ‘But your duties would include the making of treaties, the promotion of commerce, and the maintenance of free rights of way for travelers on any road in the world.’

When Hermes agreed to these conditions, Zeus gave him a herald’s staff with white ribbons, which everyone was ordered to respect; a round hat against the rain, and winged golden sandals which carried him with the swiftness of the wind. He was at once welcomed into the Olympian family, whom he taught the art of making a fire by the rapid twirling of the fire-stick.

Today, you may negotiate with Zeus or Jupiter, your father or authority figure so to speak. Again be careful to take and use only the higher forms of Mercury. Moon in Sagittarius needs to be truthful and honorable all week as the closing aspects move things forward at a rapid pace.

Wednesday, Sun has a gift of brilliance and a terrific idea for a new partnership. The partnership will change. They always do. Say yes. Give yourself permission to move forward with gusto. Again, higher forms of Mercury, always the higher forms. Especially when negotiating with power people who have long memories ~ Mercury has aspects to Pluto in Capricorn today. While it is a positive aspect, it also has an underlying edge. Venus is concerned that the pattern she’s recently observed is the new way things are going to be done. Like a mother with a new baby, you need to make sure the first born child is not feeling neglected. Synergies abound. Venus is sesquiquadrate Neptune meaning she’s feeling quite extreme stress about the action that needs to be taken. How to do it all? Well Saturn in Libra is about to up your game. You are going to the Majors baby. Your apprenticeship is over when Saturn gets out of Virgo in about two weeks. You are completely ready, even if YOU don’t think so or aren‘t 100% sure how you will do it all. Live in the moment. Say yes to what makes you happy and filled with joy. Give yourself permission to go for it. Adjustments can be made later.

Thursday, again the Sagittarius Moon has an optimistic air to it. Moon is feeling quite good until about 1:30 pm Eastern time when the changes that arrive kind of scare or shock you. Recognize that change brings anxiety. Anxiety is part of being human. We get anxious either before the change (mutable signs ~ Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), during the change (fixed signs ~ Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) or after the change (cardinal signs ~ Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). Every one stresses about change. It is just a matter of when. Today the before the change happens people get crazy on you. Again, take only honorable Mercury behavior. Watch for stresses from the home front too ~ they can be part of the over reaction. It is coming from a how to do it all place. Not to worry. Remember that thing you were trying to get rid of, that you didn’t really want to do any more? Now is the time to negotiate it right out of your life. Or to emphasize the opportunity for NEW responsibilities for new folks.

My boss Carol was always thrilled (a Leo, Leo Virgo mix) when employees quit, were promoted or changed jobs. It offered her an opportunity to reorder or restructure things that weren’t to her Leo liking. She was first in the door with a reorganization plan. As the first in, hers was often the one chosen. And it was usually quite good too. And she got more power. My co-worker Becky came into the office one day, howling as her client had let her know she was quitting. Becky, (Gemini, Sadge, Virgo) completely freaked out, screamed at her boss and nearly had a nervous breakdown as she collapsed in tears in front of the whole office. It was the middle of a series of critical system tests prior to final installation. The people who stepped into help out were absolutely brilliant but the histronics before hand were sad to watch and negatively affected her career. Remember Mercury is paying attention. The higher ups are paying attention. Sun has a gift of brilliance to Uranus so this will turn out simply terrific once the nerves are settled down and everyone focuses on THEIR responsibilities and DOES them.

Friday you hear the fears as Mercury trines Chiron. Or maybe dream them. Could be a rough sleeping night. The anxiety of being left behind. The loss of the team. The growing up and not being able to play with the same kids any more as you move forward into differing lives. Sun enters Scorpio. You are ready for more power, more accountability, more stuff. It is time. Mars in Leo rules that Scorpio Sun. Don’t you want to roar and show them what you’ve got? So Roar a little! Close the office door and Roar! Get in your car, shut the windows and Scream to your heart‘s content! Let your excitement out! Mercury gets what it wants. Time for the new changes to your routines. Sun connects with strong and powerful energies as he joins with the Nodes of Destiny. Forward you go! Mercury has a last opportunity to adjust the partnership or marriage agreement. Take it to make people feel peaceful. Contracts can always be changed down the line. Do the right thing now so it is in place for later when you need to cash in the favor. Moon in Capricorn offers you a union with power when she joins up with Pluto.

Saturn’s day Sun sextiles Pluto so you awaken with a sense of power, abundance and open or expanding possibility. Mercury is a bit stressed about some of the changes. Have conversations that support the discussions or decisions you made earlier in the week. Moon in Capricorn means you need to be very honorable to the terms and conditions of the deal. If you can’t be or are concerned with how you would do it, now is the time to flesh out those concerns, at least with yourself or with a friend. Pick up the phone. The solution appears as Mercury trines Neptune. Again intent and honor are part of what Mercury needs to focus on. Telling the truth and NOT worrying about having to keep stories or facts straight or hide things is the only way to go. You want to be completely covered when next summer arrives.

Sunday, Mercury squares the Nodes. It is decision time. Now is when the information goes out into the world to not be retrieved back, recalled or changed. Make sure your facts are straight and no lies exist below the surface to rise up later to hound you. You don’t want your first husband to arrive at the wedding so your second husband finds out he’s not able to legally marry you. Too many complications or lack of clarity can become a HUGE problem down the road. Mercury joins with Mars and launches the missile into the air. Remember ~ higher forms of Mercury!

Anne answers: Totally. Transits trigger both Solar Arc planets as well as Secondary Progressed ones. What you described would definitely trigger it, Any planets can act as triggers to the Solar Arc and Secondary Progressed. In the last few weeks, Mercury, the Sun, or Venus at 0 Libra would have triggered the 0 Libra. Mercury and Venus have been opposing the 22 pisces ~ Mercury three times. Mars trines Uranus from Cancer. All smaller planets can act as triggers planets to natal condition, progressed, arcs or even eclipses to make the “event” indicated take place. Like a match to a bonfire, the event roars into being.
