So, three weeks with the flu, not much going on here....lotsa time to think of totally random things.

How do you suppose each sign handles having the flu? I don't mean the 24 hour kind, I mean the I've-been-hit-by-a-bus kind.

I was going to give my impressions on how each would handle it, but I think I will just stick with what I know for sure....

Aries/Asc: Flu? what flu. I don't have the flu. I refuse to have the flu. It's mind over matter, and no stinking flu is gonna take me down. *Aries Asc leaps out of bed in denial, gets dizzy, and promptly hits head on dresser, at which point Aries Asc passes out and everyone in the house heaves a sigh of relief*

Libra/Moon: Uses flu down time to blog 5,000 videos of "the perfect man" into her myspace, while looking through old photos and remembering exe's fondly. Even the ones in prison.

Sag/Sun: Picture a queen sized bed. One fourth of the bed lies said patient. On her chest in a dog. Wadded up Kleenex, bottles of NyQuil and Vicks Vapo Rub are strewn about. The TV is blaring a random station, and has been for 67 hours straight. On the remaining 3/4ths of the bed are: Notebooks, astrology books, two novels (can't committ to which one I want to read) Cigarettes, ashtray, and asthma inhaler, (: AND two lap tops.

One lap top is on Myspace 24/7 so poor patient can TALK to someone. Also various videos borrowed from Libra Moon play nonstop.

On the other laptop, patient is researching. Goes something like this:

Influenza>
Influenza in History>
Famous Sagittarius' that died from influenza>
Cures for Influenza>
The Cure, 80's music band......

and so on. iiiiyyyyyiiiiii!

I think looking at the 6th house cusp can also give us clues to how we handle sickness in general. For example the cusp of my 6th house is in the late degrees of Taurus, I generally get a sore throat at the first sign of any sickness and Jupiter is also in my 6th, which means I hardly ever get sick, but when I do it is overwhelmingly terrible and I recover very quickly. That could do with having Aries Mars trine Sun and ascendant, I think fire tends to recuperate quickly.

Well I tell you, my sixth house is busy.

Moon and Mars in Libra are there, as well as Uranus and Pluto in virgo.

But I am like you, I always know when I'm gonna get sick by how my throat feels. It will get either a dry spot in the middle, if you know what I mean, or a tickle.

bahaha your Sag Sun describes me when I'm sick (Tau Sun) ...

Typically though...

Taurus:
Gets comfy on couch - this means lots of pillows and fluffy rug(s), good for snuggling up and feeling secure (which makes Taurus feel better). Some comfort food in tow. Falls asleep while watching Oprah or some other midday TV talk show. As Taurus slip off into sleep on their comfortable couch (which is big - this Taurus has a couch the size of a double bed) eventually the food falls off the couch onto the floor whilst Taurus remains asleep, and significant other comes home to clean up because Taurus is too sick to clean *cough cough* *bats eyes*

We have lots of Taurus's in my family, can you tell?

It's sort of similar to Pisces, except the Pisces will whinge a lot more.

Actually a cross between Gypsee's Sag Sun description and my Taurus description with an added bit of whinging, and there is Pisces hands down.

Oh Ms Candeh! You reminded me of going couch shopping with my Taurus friend years ago. I thought I would have to strangle the woman. She sat on every couch. Bounced on them, reclined on them, and we still left the store with no couch!!!!

AND she went through more couches then anyone I have ever known. So couches are a Taurus thing, now I know.

I'm wondering how an Aqua Sun would handle the flu? Invite everyone over to a "flu gathering?"

I notice with Scorpios and Caps it's mostly "leave me alone and go away."

Gypseewind, your description of a sick Sagg literally made me LOL. That describes my old college roomie (a double Sagg) to a "T".

Lol!! That's so true!

My couch is the most favouritest thing out of all my furniture I take a while to make decisions (and bounce on all the couches lol) but once I see something I want, then I am fixated and you can't sway me. I will still go and bounce on all the other couches (usually to appease the person shopping with me - luckily Merc Aries I make quick decisions/impulsive) but I have made my mind up and will go back to the original thing that caught my eye. That's what I did with my couch when I bought it with my ex. He didn't get a say It's modular but the size of a double bed. I brag about it quite a lot lol ^_^ I don't normally brag either so that's saying something! But it's good enough to use as a bed (which is handy as I live in a 2 bed house, so if anyone stays the night they have to sleep on the couch - but they always say they get a really good sleep on it!).

Aqua Suns will sniffle and carry tissues in their hand so you know they are sick. They don't want you to make a fuss though, but in a way they do. They want you to TRY to make a fuss but they won't accept any help readily unless you are really persistent. However, should you just ignore the fact they are sick and carry on as normal(especially as they appear that they don't want you to fuss) you will get the silent treatment for a while.
