Sometimes I feel like, when two people are interacting, one person will play out, act out, and live out the other's traits.

For instance (simple, crude example), with my Libra, I would always become confused and indecisive, even though I am not like that in any other context. And in most other contexts, HE was the indecisive one.

This also touches on the question, in synastry, with, say, a Venus-Pluto square, sometimes it can seem to flip in terms of who expresses the energy of which planet in the dynamic. Sometimes maybe we express our own natal energy, while other times we reflect and manifest our partner's energy.

What do you think?

yes!!! i have noticed that too!
in my relationship, i've noticed that both of us would act on behalf of the other.
I thought it's because we have opposite moons in sag/gemini, and he has sun/moon opposition. I feel everything in our relationship is very projection-heavy... I'm a libra sun btw...

what's ur synastry like, Lucia?

Our synastry was (I say was 'cause he's my ex, but I guess still is) very Plutonic:
-my Pluto conjunct his solar stellium Sun-Pluto-Mercury-Mars
-his Pluto square my Moon and Ascendant, sextile my Venus and Neptune
-my Pluto trine his Moon, square his Jupiter, sextile his Neptune and MC

We also had some nice aspects that keep us close even now as friends--an exact Sun-Venus conjunction, an AC/MC conjunction.

But I notice this sort of projection/reflection thing even with people I'm not close to when I don't know the astrology--for example, when someone is feeling insecure, sometimes I pick that up and feel insecure, without being aware that it's coming from them. As I've gotten more aware of it, it's really helped me interact more meaningfully with people. Often when we always feel a certain way around someone, we're picking up their energy and what they feel, I think.

Is your BF a Gem, then, and you are a Libra/Sag Moon? Also, do you have Moon-Neptune, Sun-Neptune, or Venus-Neptune aspects?

I think you might be onto something with lunar oppositions connecting to this, either in the natal and/or the synastry. With that Libra ex we have his Moon opposite my Neptune.

wow...all those pluto aspects sounds like a very intense relationship... and the sun-venus/ac-mc conjunction...i wonder what you guys lacked that ended the relationship? did you have any saturn aspects?

yeah i get that too, like i pick up on other ppl's feelings and sometimes i don't even know what my own feelings are. Do you have moon-neptune aspect in ur natal? because i have moon conjunct neptune and this may have something to do with picking up on the emotions of others (i have a packed 12th house too)

my bf is a sag sun/gem moon, and i am libra sun/sag moon.... and yes! his neptune is conjunct my moon! (and we have venus-neptune conjunction and moon square neptune in our composite)

hmmm...all these neptune aspects sure looks suspicious... i think it may be a combination of neptune and oppositions that contribute to the projections and reflections...

I don't see DD how you can call our tropical synastry so weak when we have such a high score with IQ's soul mate calculator and so much on AC/MC/IC!

Am i missing something here?

I've noticed that whenever my Sun touches someone's DSC, I'M the one that seems to chase after them.

But then again Neptune is on my Sun/Merc right now, so that means its transiting their DSCs.

Lara,

I think you posted your reply to me in the wrong thread.

No, I did not call your synastry weak. I don`t know your tropical synastry. Have you posted it? I only saw the DRaco-aspects.

Well, I am not so convinced of the soulmate calculator anymore; at least not in an absolute sense. I think it is a good step to begin assessing synastry, but it shouldn`t end there. The aspects have to be interpreted. And the challenging aspects should figure in, too, otherwise the overall picture gets blurred.

But weak or strong synastry will also probably depend on the astrologer who is interpreting it, which is a serious flaw in this system of astrology.
