Two degrees of The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry that are worth reading. They include MUCH about astrology. I think you guys, especially the researchers, will appreciate reading these. They are taken from Albert Pike's "Morals & Dogma" book which are the unofficial lectures for degrees 4-32 in freemasonry. These two degrees have MUCH astrology information in them.Knight of the Brazen Serpent - 26th degree Http://www.sacred-texts.com/mas/md/md26.htm Knight of the Sun or Prince Adept - 28th degree Http://www.sacred-texts.com/mas/md/md29.htm ------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon) And yes, i'm a guy! Superb links GG! I admire Pike's range of knowledge though I dislike Freemasonry. So these guys always knew the Mathematical System i.e Houses are from Leo to Virgo and signs are from Cancer to Gemini. And yet they forced the "wrong" systems on the masses through Theosophical Society programming. Carl Payne Tobey was actually threatened by many esotericists for revealing the truth. IP: Logged |

You know IQ, I can't fault you for feeling that way. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the information in those degrees still. Albert Pike re-wrote those degrees as the were orginally written by Stephen Morin in France. It's interesting to see the additions and changes Pike made and why.As far as the houses and sign order goes, my astrology history is still very limited. I was just amaziny surprised to see so much astrology information in those degrees; especially since most masons say there is no astrology in Masonry; as you can see, that is NOT the case. Another two degrees you may want to read are degrees 18, Knight of the Rose Croix, and 19, Grand Pontiff. I'll post links in a second. ------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon) And yes, i'm a guy! Thanks, GG,that was interesting information. Especially since my Sun and Mercury are in the 26th degree. I am looking forward to the next postings, too, as my Moon is in the 18th degree. IP: Logged |

Keep in mind that the connections to astrology in these two degrees are more esoteric and indirect than the other two degrees. 18˚ Knight Rose Croix -click here- Some regalia of the 18˚ 19˚ - Grand Pontiff - click here- Regailia for 19˚ ------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon) And yes, i'm a guy! I like esoteric stuff, but I guess virgo mercury in me is too hard to please. eh in any case this link was just for researchers to amuse on - I gave my comments uninvited IP: Logged |

Hey Emma, please forgive the typo. I remember most of the degrees by title. As far as the subject matter, I guess if you've studied long enough about astrology, you'd probably already heard of most of this stuff. However, for those that are fairly new to astrology or those that just like reading about this stuff, it's for them. For me it's more Masonic since I was very surpirsed to experience this stuff when I was initiated into these degrees. It's been a blast making the esoteric and exoteric connections therein, especially the ones related to astrology. I was all ears when they started talking about zodiac signs and houses when I went through. Plus, these lectures were written in the early 1800's so, I find them interesting. Hey Emma, what esoteric stuff are you into? Maybe we are into similiar things. ------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon) And yes, i'm a guy! nah I am no expert on any thing but in general I like reading abt different philosophies, like I read Martin Lings book on sufism, I also have read some stuff on philosophy of soul, and at one point I read a lot about paranormal research. But it has been a long while since I have read something that will blow my mind away, some big universal secret or hidden treasurebut you are right I was just skimming through the link and they talk about all the degrees, and there is lot of philosophy there, I just did not have the patience to read through.
