Hi,

I'm curious about this natal aspect since there isn't any info in the net that I can find.. Venus Conj. Mars in Aquarius on the cusp of the 1st house.
The 2 planets in aspect are conducive for passion, but in Aquarius..??

Your enlightenment is appreciated!

Type in Venus Conjunct Mars on Google and you will retrieve in seconds:-

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/venus-conjunct-mars.php

There is unlikely to be anything on the 'net specifically on the aspect by house and sign. Your option is either to work it out by blending the information and combining all the factors - house, sign, closeness of orb - or get someone else to do the chart.

What we have here is the planet of drive and aggression combined with the planet of social interaction. It isn't the most harmonious combination to walk hand-in-hand through life. Fireworks.

Aquarius might not seem an obvious sign for passionate intenstity but I have to say here, conducive for passion is not all that this is about, and anyway, try telling this person what to do and how to do it, you might see a reaction that is quite passionately intense.

Aqua, 1st house, I'm going to say this is a person who gets wound up about things quite easily, and let's everyone know about it. Self-control might sometimes be a problem. They will resent any efforts to impinge upon their freedom.

How does it fit into the chart, etc, that will give you an idea how this works out.

Assuming Mars-Venus are within the first house, even by 0.001 degrees, in Aquarius, we can interpret it thus:

Passionate about expressing futuristic meta level ideas and innovations that challenge the established views of lifestyle, taste and ambition.

Something like boldly claiming to use and enjoying sex-toys in the Victorian age.

Aquarius is not all that angelic a sign as standard astrologers are programmed to think. It has a negative side, a mean streak that provokes wars.
Hence, this aspect could provoke a technology based war or a war for the sake of grabbing an advanced technology that can improve the lifestyle of the victors.

I've known a girl that is only slightly attractive who has venus conj mars 0 deg in taurus where venus is strong. I believe it's in the 8th house. I have never known anyone personally who had the sexual magnatism that she has. She turns heads wherever she goes. Also pluto is in the 1st. In her younger years she was very promiscuous.

I have Venus/Mars in the first house Conjunct my ASC in Virgo. The conjunction also trines Uranus.

I think that this aspect is more about personal charisma than physical beauty. I don't think I'm extremely beautiful but I can be very persuasive when I want something.

I think with Uranus/Virgo combination sometimes makes me overly picky and idealistic. I can also be very erratic/impulsive in my wants.

previously typed by lalalinda (no link for the threads though):

Venus conjunct Mars
Donna van Toen)
Your relationship with your parents will determine your attitudes towards the opposite sex and marriage for better or worse. Normally, this gives a harmonious blending of active and passive energies and makes you sensitive and loving unless both planets are under severe stress. Drive is generally expressed constructively. This aspect is an asset when it comes to relating to the public, and is said to give luck in financial matters.
This conjunction can vary dramatically from sign to sign, and tends to give you valuable insights into your earliest dealing with the opposite sex - including dealings with your opposite-sex parent, siblings, and peers.
You have very strong emotions. Because of their intensity, you find it hard to treat relationships lightly; everything, even the smallest gesture, has importance to you. This is true in almost all relationships; it's especially true when it comes to sex and romance. If there are problems in your love life, it could be beacuse you're being too pushy or coming on too strong.
This aspect stimulates affections in a way that causes you to want an all-consuming, 'forever' type of relationship; but, funnily enough, it also givesa flirtatious streak that continues even after you've entered into a satisfying relationship. I think that people with this aspect feel that it's especially important to remain desirable - not just to a mate or lover, but to the opposite sex in general.
As the conjunction is a uniting aspect, and Venus and Mars are the male and female principles, respectively, you might think, as I once did, that it's a portent of a lasting marriage. From my studies, I've learned that this isn't the case. While people with this aspect want a lasting relationship very badly, they suffer their fair share of squabbles and separations. There's a difference between this aspect and the square and opposition though, in that there seems to be greater reluctance to make the first break. Jealousy - sometimes justified, sometimes not - on one side or another seems to be the primary cause of discord.
If you have Venus and Mars in the same sign but not conjunct, the foregoing may apply to you. However, you'd be less pushy.

Venus conjunct Mars
(Robert Pelletier)
Venus conjunct Mars shows that you have a strong desire nature which you need to express at all times. You may prefer to satisfy your desires through relationships, but you are willing to satisfy them through other alternatives, so that you don't have to endure frustration. These alternatives include artistic endeavors or social functions that can prove very rewarding to you in themselves and may additionally provide you with opportunities to meet persons with whom you can identify and relate. Your emotional warmth and generous nature attract people to you, but you may not be aware that you communicate physical suggestions both to groups and to individuals. Your intentions may be easily misunderstood because of this, and you will experience some difficulties, which will force you to bring your defences into play.
In your eagerness to make social contact, you tend to be indiscriminate about the kinds of people with whom you associate. Generlly the aggressor in relationships with the opposite sex, you may be resented for being 'pushy'. But your aggressiveness increases your chances of success in meeting competition, because you don't give up without making every attempt to demonstrate your abilities. This planetary pairing does not of itself signify a specific professional interest, but you will gain attention for your determination to be given the same opportunities as others. You would probably work best in a job that requires you to meet and deal with the public. Working alone or without contact with the public and co-workers would deprive you of the fulfillment you need and would probably lead to boredom. You are too much of a 'live wire' to be happy away from the busyness and crises of close human encounter.
You are attracted to individuals who are active, aggressive, and amorous, but they must not try to exercise control over you. You consider yourself a free person and will not tolerate anyone who tries to restrict you. You don't make concessions without a lot of thought, although you expect the other person to compromise. You demand a great deal from the person you love, and may make demands that are difficult to comply with. Because of your 'love 'em and leave 'em' attitude, many potential mates will look elsewhere when seeking a binding relationship.

Mars/venus conjunction (Karen Hamaker-Zondag)
The conjunction between Venus and Mars joins together passive and active instincts for self-preservation: that is to say, the desire for the security of harmonious and agreeable contacts goes hand in hand with a need to stand up for ourselves and to make our presence felt. How this will work out in practice depends on the rest of the chart. When we are deeply attached to someone (Venus) we are prepared to go through fire and water for them (Mars), but at the same time we make heavy demands because Mars has a selfish streak. We are very emotional and very sensual, too.
Mars conjunct Venus can make us inclined to indulge in all sorts of amorous adventures and hedonism. But although infidelity does occur with these aspects, it is not irrefrangible law of the Medes and Persians. We look for a partner with whom we can share our emotions and enjoy sexual fulfillment, and, if we succeed, our intense union is not easily disturbed.
The abrasive side of Mars is softened by Venus; but something of Mars tends to rub off on Venus, too, so that tact is not always a strong point. We are a trifle inconsiderate, a bit too sharp-tongued, and quicker off the mark than the situation requires.
With a Mars/Venus conjunction, the opposite sex always plays an important part, and even in childhood this can reveal itself in a strong attachment to the father or mother as the case may be.

-----

now u had to it a dash of original individualiy and a zest of naive confidence, you shake it and u get served a pretty particular, unique cocktail.

Anicia: I think I also can be persuasive but I think we did it in different ways. My mars in the beginning of cancer togheter with N/N and this is with my venus in the end of gemini.
Sex is also importent to me but I am not aggresive in it. I take it slow.

In my life I try to take it slow and not never give up. I have greate patience.

I also have venus/NN/mars trine my saturn in phisces

Sex is only important if I have a mental connection with someone. I could go long periods of time without it and be fine, but when I am attracted to someone watch out. xD

the conjunction on its own is a little tricky for the native and their loved ones, but the sign will modify significantly. most of the people i have known with mars/venus have been extremely attractive people prone to relationships where a lot of buttons get pushed...most of them are also in LONGterm relationships (those old enough that is!) because they seem born to be able to cope with the drama.

my grandson has venus in scorp and mars in libra conjunct in the end of his 7th house! his mother is a card-carrying fire sign (7 planets in fire in trine to each other and only one "personal", venus, in earth) and he is a scorp.

this 7 year old is extremely well-centered and lets his mothers' volatility - and other peoples' vagaries in expression as well - roll off his back for the most part. he is pretty much a peaceloving kinda guy. the only reason i don't worry about him being a doormat is his very evident scorp character combined with aries on the asc, which makes him quite good at speaking up for himself when he feels the urge...but i have seen him shrug off snubs from, say, older kids in the playground, with an amazing degree of self-reference...

mars in libra is meant to be somewhat ineffective but with the mutual reception and the scorp/aries traits it seems to work very well for him.

plus he is INCREDIBLY handsome...!

the above is as much to refer back to the WHOLE chart when studying the conj as anything...

I think someone with this conjunction in the 1st house/Aqua would be someone with very strong sex appeal and charisma, a forceful personality, not necessarily beautiful... although Venus on the ascendant would weigh the odds strongly in favour of being very attractive.

I think the aqua flavour is like what iQ said -- I think this person would exude sexuality and sexual magnetism with very few hang ups and would likely wear it on their sleeve. They'd be very avant guard, but it's hard to say how this aspect would interact with the rest of the personality without seeing a chart.

Hi Scorpio.rising,

Venus/Mars is not just about passion for sex, it can be about love of sport, war, competition, violence, as well as plain lust.

Add in Aquarius and you could get a perverse streak - a sadist? (I'm totally jumping the gun here, lol). Or just an unusual element to their passion, so look at the other aspects.

And the 1st house - I'd say add in ego.

I have this in my 4th house so that probably means I'm sexier at home ?

I don't know really. Sometimes people do have crushes on me but I haven't had a relationship where my partner ever begged me not to leave or come back So it's not like my sexiness is addictive lol

I'm afraid I like weird relationships, I have moon and venus conjunct/sextile uranus and that might be why...

I have venus conjunct mars with someone as a synastry aspect and sex with him is incredible...

My boyfriend has Venus conjunct Mars in Leo in his 2nd house (squaring Pluto almost exactly). He's very mild mannered, has a lot of charisma, I guess. I wasn't all that impressed with him at first lol, but he seems to be very popular with the ladies/in general. I would describe him as a sweet heart. Not at all like my last boyfriend who was definitely more smoldering/brooding (he had Venus square Mars and Pluto, Mars opposite Pluto).

I have two friends with venus conj mars in cancer. Both were homecoming queen in high school. One was also class president. Very popular, charismatic. Magnetic personalities.

Never known anybody with venus/mars conj in aquarius.
