I am wondering if this theory holds any weight. I think it would if you relocated permanently, but what if you just go on vacation? I know they say it changes it for the year, but has anyone actually had experience with this?

Hi Diana

I use both, but in all honesty the natal solar return speaks to what is predestined for the current year of your life according to the energies you "first breathed in" on your return to Earth

In other words you chose specific coordinates and planetary alignments to enter Earth ...to use this map as your blueprint in life no matter where you go.
So you can check the Solar return for your current location to see the "where" of the aspects...

For more permanent relocations I use both charts...I do the same for natal and relocated charts....

Check previous years...make up a chart for your birth location and one for the relocated place and see how both speak to you.

I use the location of where you are on your birthday, not the natal location of your birth.

I also use where I been just in day. In 12 hour I was in Gothenburg and in 4 hour in Oslo that day. I use Gothenburg because I was there in 03,54 AM.

If I have been in Oslo in that day. My SR venus be in house 12. I like more to have SR venus in conj SR ASC in house 1.

Now also my SR IC conj my natal Sun/AC
SR MC conj my Natal DC

If i be in Oslo all the time at my birthday my chart being big different. I'm happy I was in gothenburg in that time

i think it makes more sense to use the new location if you have actually relocated. not so sure about being there for a day-trip!

From what I've read, the consensus seems to be to use your present location. Even so, I personally prefer using your birth place. Up until I was 18 I moved around a lot, rarely in one spot for longer than a year. I've looked at solar returns for those years, and the birth place method provided more accurate descriptions.

I've been where I currently live for years, and I still find my birth place provides a more accurate description. (By more accurate I mean things like a stellium being placed in the 5th vs. 4th house, and reality clearly focusing on issues related to one of those houses.)

I haven't reviewed other people's SRs in this way, so I can speak for only myself.

I dont know which place I should use when I sitting on the bus. I use the place I lived in in time when I have birthday. The place I was born could I use if I want but I think it's work with the place there I be the most of the time.

I will compare and it would be intresting to se what will happend.

I wonder if people with fixed signs on their ASC are more likely to find the birth location more accurate. Lara's link:

quote:
...If you have moved away, the location and the orientation of the Solar Return has changed reflecting the internal shift.

The location for your exact position at the time of the Sun's return is in my opinion the most accurate because it most closely reflects your present state of mind and any free-willed choices you have made. It is not necessary that you remain in this location for the year or even for very long. You only need relocate long enough to set your intention or about a day.

I don't think my intention for being alive changes much.

This year on the 8th of july i was flying on a plane from turkey to Australia. Some time at aound 5:30pm i was going over the middle of Australia. I landed 2 hours later in sydney. I have no idea which chart to go by. I prefer my sydney one of course.

But im going to compare with my bf as he was born overseas and has lived here for over 15 years.

Ill post the charts soon to compare

Changed my mind. This is my dads chart the year i was born... He was currently residing in Sydney at the time. 2 months after i was born he went back to Turkey to serve for his country and go to the army.

It seems the 1st chart which is his place of birth fits the description more as theres moon in 9th even though moon in 6th in the other chart can also mean the same thing (6th house and service)

OK maybe i need another example after this one

If in his place of birth

and if in Australia

I don't like there is no rules in it. I use that kind of place which suit me. Is this alright?

When I looking backwards in my SR and I have in many year had abundance of planets in my house 7 or 8. There is a big difference in axes owing to where I be. I be In oslo much and also in Gothenburg. I also have my two last year SR planet tight conj aspect to my DC. This year I also have SR IC conj my natal ASC if I count Gothenburg and Oslo but not if I count in the town I was born. I'm still not married but I am in time get many planets in house 7 and conj DC. It was an example but true. I can choice the town when I checked it out after a year wich one I want? That must be wrong

The planets are on the same place irrespective which place I count. The only I can trust on in SR are the planet to my natal and not the axes. It looks like SR axes are an instability factor.

This get me to be in doubt.

Does it really work?

Belgz,

Place of birth fits his imprisonment. Is that where he was living when he was brought up on charges?

I am unsure about mine. I like my SR for this year, except for saturn in the 12th of the SR. I would like to go away for my b-day, but I don't really want it to change.

Where I would most likely go wouldn't change it too much but it would make my AC go into late virgo, which I do not like. I am looking forward to a libra AC. I am also very big on house cusp degrees and am happy with the degrees on my house cusps on my present place SR.

Diana,

Hes been in australia for 40yrs. It seems even with my dad though he was living in Aus HIS PLACE OF BIRTH solar return charts seem to be more accurate. I dont think relocating can change whats already meant to happen.

belgz: I also think you have right. My SR are now changed.

My SR ASC are not conj my SR venus and natal venus/N,N/mars as they did before.. I am disappointed in one minute

I have SR ASC more degree in cancer but SR venus (now in house 12)still conj my N venus/N.N/mars. SR mars also in house 12....Hmmm . I don't like to have it in house 12

SR MC now moved forward and are more exactly conj SR nept/jupiter/chiron

SR moon are now more importent because DESC moved forward and are more exact on moon (in house 7).

When I don't used my natal town SR DESC conj exact on SR pluto. SR Moon was far away from SR desc.

N eros now exact on my SR IC

belgz -

For your dad's SRs, I think place of birth fits better too. He'd just had a baby (a huge event in his life!), and that SR puts planets in the 4th and 5th, while his present location chart leaves those houses empty.

Thanks for the examples. Looks like I'm not the only one whose birth place SR is more accurate.

I liked the way Mystique explained why that's so.

hey Jane,
Would you please look at the SR chart of a friend of mine whose birthdy is today 22 nov? She has been going through a tough phase in life for a while now and I was wondering which SR would be appropriate her birthplace or her current town?
thanks

Hi Belgz,
I know that brthplace is more often used for SR, i just wanted to verify the chart against actual experience. My friend has SR venus in 5th SR house and her SR nn conjunct natal moon. Am just wondering how it plays out.

Hey Jane,
She is a very close friend of mine and we have been friends for a long time. It saddens me to see somebody who is as close to me as a blood sister go through so much pain and that is why I decided to learn a bit about astrology. She and her family have stood by me during my difficulties so I would like to help. The thing is I am a novice in astrology and they are great believers in it.
Can you help me?
