Are there any transits which are thought to be linked to childbirth? Perhaps transits of the current moon to the mother's natal moon? I've researched the subject online and haven't found anything relevant. I'm due in a few weeks but get the feeling that the baby will be born earlier.

In a vast majority of cases, the firstborn child's Sun, Moon or Venus will make a precise aspect with mom's Moon, Saturn or Jupiter. Other than this, it is very difficult to predict. I got my first born's birthday wrong by 6 days, though I did get my daughter's birthday right.
Time of birth, we just cannot predict. That is a secret of the baby's Higher Self that chooses a certain degree of the Ascendant for evolution.

I just started checking all of the mother/firstborn synastry charts I have on file and there seems to be consistency with tight aspect involving the asteroid "(4580) Child." I did not check transits.

I found no consistency with mother's moon/sat/jup aspecting firstborn's sun/moon/venus as stated above.

My own daughter's aspects include her sun conj my moon, but she was induced early because my ob/gyn doctor was going on vacation. When I run synastry chart for two days later there is precise aspect sun conj moon, plus tight aspects with following planets- venus trine venus, mars trine sun, north node conj jupiter plus asteroid "child" to "child." I really don't think she was supposed to be born before her time. Thank goodness my son came when he was supposed to, by VBAC.

Someone once mentioned the asteroid (5140) Kida as well, but I didn't check it out.

Yes, Asteroid CHILD worked very well for me too. My firstborn and I have an Asteroid CHILD conjunction.

I checked out my Mom's Synastry with Myself and some of my siblings. (Big family LOL) just to see.

I'm my mothers first born. Her Asteroid Child makes no aspects to my planets. But my Asteroid Child makes a conjunction with her Pluto and trines her AC.

Thank you for the replies =) I am a Sag Sun and my son is due Dec. 18th. I really hope we have a harmonious relationship between our charts. My older son has is Moon conjunct my Sun and we get along well.

SunChild, my physician recommended an induction for convenience. I declined as my wish is for my son to be born when he feels ready.

My birthday is in December and the baby was conceived this past March. Would I be looking at the Solar return chart for Dec. 2008 or for my Solar return chart for my upcoming birthday this year?

My sister literally just had her second baby. My mom and I just got home.

Moon is trining her Moon by 3 degrees.
Mars is trining her Moon by 2 degrees.
Mercury is trining her Moon exactly.
Jupiter is opposing her Moon by 2 degrees.
Chiron is opposing her Moon by 3 degrees.

ASC is at 5 degrees Virgo. Same as her first born son and me!

6.5lbs, 20 inches, at 11/27 at 11:32pm

my moon is cnj my mums sun. My sun and mercury are exactly cnj her ascendant and trine my dads moon (exact)

My brothers moon is exactly cnj her venus.

It is very difficult to predict birth consistently and accurately. Give it a good go though.

Sun rules Leo and tied to the 5th house. Sun/Leo/5th relate to children.

Moon rules Cancer and tied to the 4th house.

With Cancer before Leo, the birth of children, I guess the 4th (even MOON) can indicate the period just before the birth. Maybe why society views waters breaking as a milestone in the birthing process.

Well, my son was due on the 18th and hasn't arrived. I felt so sure that he would arrive early enough to be a Sagittarius Sun like me. It looks like he will be a Capricorn, as the Solstice is today.

I have a prenatal appointment this afternoon, and am considering having the doctor strip my membranes to help bring on labor. I'm nervous about this, due to Mars Rx falling in my 8th house. I'm a late Sag rising, and Jupiter in Leo rules my 8th house. I've read that being born during a Mars Rx brings a more difficult birth, so I am seriously anxious )=
