Happy Thanksgiving! One of my favorite holidays arrives on Thursday, complete with the stuffing, pumpkin cheese cake bars and twice baked mashed potatoes. Who needs TURKEY?

Pallas Athena is super active all week ~ she’s busy pointing out all kinds of patterns for you to see and change. Once you see a pattern, you can 1) continue to do it or 2) change your behavior and thus the pattern or 3) stop doing it. Some times it is merely a matter of asking or noticing. Other times it is a bit more complicated or problematic. However, there are few, very few, patterns that can’t be changed with a bit of will and elbow grease.

Venus squares Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron, our little merry gang of three at the beginning of the week suggesting we may very well over do things ~ over spend, over eat, over desire or over emote. Venus trines Uranus suggesting quite a few creative ways to spend your money and your time are offered to you. You, of course, don’t have to take them up on it but you are going to get the offer(s) any way. There is a certain freedom from the over energy of Venus. She’s in Scorpio, a most passionate and unpredictable placement for her energies. Venus in Scorpio traditionally is described as being in her fall. Venus in Scorpio can plot and plan better than the best of them. AND they can be nefarious plots. Or Scorpio plots.

Scorpio plots are the ones that appeal to your desire nature, the part of your being where you have trouble saying “No, I can’t.” That is because Scorpio knows what your deepest and fondest wish is. Scorpio knows your desires. Scorpio knows your secret heart wish, buried deep, down inside. Venus in Scorpio knows how to appeal to that part of your being, invite it in, ask it to bite ~ take one bite.

Eve in the Garden of Eden comes to mind. I always hated how the priests when I was growing up blamed Eve for the fall from the Garden and original sin. Women were evil and tempted the poor, weak men and led Adam astray. The priests involved in the Witch Burnings of the Inquisition blamed her as they torched women.

Sure the snake enticed Eve. Sure Eve took a bite from the fruit of the tree of knowledge. And of course, Eve got Adam to take a bite from the fruit too. And when God came calling, old Adam was DARNED quick to blame Eve. Eve, in turn, blamed the Snake. God cursed the Snake and made him crawl on his belly all the days of his life and eat dust. Did snakes have legs back then?

Clearly, no one was doing their Saturn or taking personal responsibility for their actions!

Not a lot of loyalty either!

Adam, Eve and the snake are what it will be like if you get caught up in the negative energy of the week. Heck, when they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge, the heavens even probably HAD Venus in Scorpio square to Jupiter ~ knowing their profound deepest heart desire to KNOW, they ate of the fruit to gain knowledge.

Eve and Adam then SAW and KNEW. Once they saw and knew, they were forever changed. No going back.

And when God came a calling, they all folded and blamed the other guy for making them do it. No one stood up for what they wanted. No one said “Hey God, aren’t you over reacting JUST a bit? ~ Okay, punish the snake but making him crawl on his belly FOREVER and eat DUST? Do we really have to be banished from paradise, forced to work and face hard labor in childbirth? Who do you think is going to worship you if you do this to us? Not US! We are outta here! And we‘ll pay you for the fruit we ate!”

What do you think would have happened if Eve and Adam had ventured to ask God to reconsider his wrath, quit the vengeful business and stop being such a control freak about who eats his silly knowledge fruit?

God comes calling mid-December.

You have between Now and Then to get your story straight. You are in a much better place than Eve and Adam were. You have learned so much. Time to negotiate with God for a better deal. No blaming the other person or the poor snake for you doing what you wanted to do. Or not doing what you were supposed to do. Own it.

Own what you want to do. Stand proud and clear in it. It is part of your soul’s desire to create the life you dream about and of. So this week when Venus in Scorpio comes a whispering in your ear, listen, think and answer back what you would like your life to look like.

Give thanks for the many blessings in your life as Venus squares Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron. And put out your request for new blessings and abundance as Venus trines Uranus.

Monday Moon in Aquarius is dancing with Venus, Mars and the Gang of Three stimulating your very own Garden of Eden. Uranus sees how the current pattern got them into the situation they face. It is a bit of a Sticky Wickett that situation, eh? Sun‘s aspect to Pluto sets up a bit of blind spot ~ did Eve even KNOW it was the banned fruit that the serpent brought to her? Why was that snake so interested in causing trouble? What had happened between him and God that lead him to tempt Eve and Adam. Jealousy? Rivalry? Competition? Envy? Venus squares Jupiter so bite the fruit and figure it out. You are a smart person. Put the clues together. See what you see. Find the part the didn‘t “smell” or “feel” quite right. The part where the voice changed or they got a bit reserved. The overly complicated story when it is really should be kind of simple. There is a part of you that knows. Listen to that part.

Tuesday Moon in Pisces is quiet and reserved. Sun has a working aspect with Saturn so you can accomplish a great deal of beginning work with the opening energy whoosh. Great day to get things out the door with the Moon’s closing trine to Venus. State your dreams. Venus fights with Jupiter by declination ~ again over doing. So don’t tell people who don’t support your vision of what you’d like for your future. If they are going to tell you all the reasons why you can’t do it, they aren’t supporting your vision. Venus squares Chiron so can hear critical words today that make her sad or sorrowful. Let them go. Know they are from an earlier time and place.

Wednesday Venus talks to both Uranus and the Node of Destiny. Here is where it is important to rise out of the past mistakes and problems to see what the future could be. I always love a plan. You may not follow it for long but it is a set of intentions, grounded, written, claimed and then begun. The act of beginning has great power. When you woke from dreaming were you disturbed by the pattern you saw in your dream? Change that pattern! Mercury has a serious but solid conversation with Saturn offering him a vision of how things could change in the future if he decides to partner with himself a bit more deftly. Saturn is a bit of a grumpy grump and not so keen on changes. IF he sees WHY it might be GOOD to change, he will consider it. Make a case for Saturn to change. Dream a new pattern or vision of change for your Saturn to move toward.

Thursday has a lovely, long void moon. Happy Thanks Giving Day! Due to the Void moon, double check that your oven is heating properly and that you have all the many ingredients you’ll need for the day. Moon in Pisces has lovely aspects to Scorpio Venus supporting harmony and connection. Venus squares Neptune so talk to God today~ Neptune is where we find the God in our chart ~ and tell him or her what you would like to create. Venus has a trine to Juno and moves a bit closer towards a new vision of how to relate in the world. Juno is at late degrees of Pisces, traveling near Uranus ~ what would Juno’s life have been like if instead of punishing the women Zeus went bounding after if she had held HIM accountable for his actions? Today think about the accountable energies in your life? Who needs to be held accountable? What did you do? Mercury’s trine to Mars on the world axis suggest we’ll have relatively friendly arguments around the dinner table instead of stressful ones. There is a t-square tightening up with Mars moving in to oppose the Gang of Three. Mars is fixed fire so things can accelerate quickly. Watch the passions. Find places where you can agree to hold others and yourself accountable. The eclipse energy from last summer is quite active this week so emotions, particularly around losses from that time, can feel quite acute and sharp.

Friday’s Moon in Aries opens the day with a bang. Moon squares Pluto and opposes Saturn while you sleep so dreams can be QUITE disturbing and perhaps a bit violent. Mars is moving into a hard aspect with Pluto too so relieve the stress by taking action. People are more stressed than usual. Pluto’s trine to Vesta suggests cleaning up and putting away all the china and silver will go FAST! Mars has an brilliant, crazy but SUCH a GREAT idea! Make sure to act on it. It is a winner.

Saturn’s’ day Moon in Aries is active with the Gang of Three, encouraging them to get out and get going. Jupiter’s square to the creative energy offers a boost of energy that has you hopping out of the door bright and early. Go for it. Your ego might take a bit of a slamming today. Earned or unearned slamming, own your part. No excuses. No blame. Just own it. Stand in truth.

Sunday Mercury sextiles Jupiter so you’ll be hearing tales told out of school today. Not a problem but not all the truth either. Probably some words that actually hurt your feelings. Or you might say some thing that hurts another person’s feelings. Starting sentences with “Frankly…” is a key phrase to watch out for. That means Mercury is about to let loose with one of his more profound observations. Mercury is in Sagittarius ~ a truth teller but not one who pays attention to the feelings of the listener. Be aware of your internal reactions to words. Watch for the stimulation of Mars so you don’t over react. The words were meant to be helpful. They might or might not be kind. Take actions to relieve the stress of the Mars sesquiquadrate to Pluto ~ it has been building for a while. While I don’t suggest punching them, you may feel a large pulse of aggression pulsing through your being. Be kind. Words DO hurt. While we can often spot violence or meanness, it sometimes is more difficult for us to actually believe the person did it on purpose to hurt us deliberately. Believe it. But remember, you don’t have to take it. Back to Eve and Adam…. What do you think would have happened if they called God a frigging control freak who set up silly tests with fruit and snakes? Interesting concept eh?
