I am very curious about more than the basics and I am wondering if any of you have advice on where to begin?

I would like to be able to get to the point where I can read my chart so that it doesn't look like foreign jibber jabber!

You can do your charts on there and then just google pages to interpret aspects. you might need to leanr the symbols and which signs they are and learn what the 12 houses represent and what the planets represent then once you do that you can put it altogether slowly.

Do some astrology searches and learn: the meanings of the signs/planets/houses and also aspects. Just learn it informal for the time being. I forget the basics

Astrology translates as the language of the stars/heavens (whatever) - exactly as it reads...you are studying a language.

Dont ask why, but when you or a thing is born, there is a natal chart created. This chart will show 2 main factors: What you have been given in this life (Natal chart, where the astrology of your natal chart is considered) and also what you will do with what you have been given (transits, where the current movement of the planets are compared related to your natal planets)

After you have done that, comeback. We shall learn the structure of a natal chart and how you can put all those words you learn about the planets/signs/houses into action.

For more clarity, look up "Mars+astrology" and see what words associates to Mars. Some may say war, aggresion, Man etc. Just learn to give a decent foundation, nothing solid needed now.
Do this for the planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.
