So, I have a little theory:Today I went through all of my charts and looked at 1) the chart dominance of people who are attracted to/have been in love with me, and 2) the chart dominance of people who i am attracted to/have been in love with. My averaged findings: People who have strong feelings for me are dominant in- Planets: Venus, Jupiter, Saturn Signs: Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces Element: Water Mode: Cardinal People I have strong feelings for are dominant in- Planets: Moon, Venus, Pluto Signs: Scorpio, Virgo, Cancer Element: Earth Mode: Fixed
So my thinking is that sometimes we run into obsession or insecurity or just plain one-sided feelings because of mismatched chart dominance. I want YOU because you're Scorpio dominant, but you don't want me because i'm have very little Pluto in my chart, etc.
Thoughts?

what is the criteria for what we are dominant in? which planets create the most aspects?? if so, what kinds? only hard like opp/square/conj, or inc sextiles/trines? nice theory, i was thinking about ideas along these lines before. IP: Logged |

Letram,Go to astro.com and under charts, click Pullen/Astrology. Under there scroll down to the bottom and select: Simple Chart Delineation by Walter Pullen. Once you click "Go," scroll down on the page until you see all of your dominants. There should be a list. IP: Logged |

It makes sense for me to go after Sag/Cap influenced people. Jupiter is the ruler of my DSC and Saturn conjuncts it (as does Uranus but I guess I can't really handle Uranus types when in a romantic relationship).IP: Logged |

Let's see I'm Pluto, Mars and Mercury dominated.In the signs I'm Scorpio, Gemini and Leo /Aries dominated. Element is Fire dominated and the mode is equal between fixed and mutable. I've had romantic associations with two Libra Suns (one with Sag. Asc. & Capricorn Moon and another with Libra Moon). One Sagittarius Sun with either Leo or Virgo Moon. And my most recent association was with a Leo Sun with Leo Asc. and Scorpio Moon and we were only 3 weeks apart, now I know why its better to date someone older, lol! I think I need to stay clear from Fire signs from now on! IP: Logged |

Mode: Fixed I'm extremely surprised that these guys who have different top 3s, actually have things in common. The Mode is always fixed - so odd! I thought I was scared of fixed energy. I lack it in my own chart. I guess that's why I attract it. I also noticed that one of the dominant signs is always Scorpio. My SN/Pluto are in Scorpio. These were all mutual though. I'm very put off by anything that even smells unrequited so I don't go there lol I wonder what's responsible for *no attraction to the unrequited* in a natal chart. Great thread idea - Meta! vapor,Interesting how all of your guys are Fixed! Just thinking, maybe that's why those relationships didn't work out? Possibly because those you (we) go for don't reflect you (ourselves) enough?... Hi meta, C. was a mistake but i fought it from the beginning! the only man i've gone after full force, there was mutual interest and we dated but.. oh not too much alike but maybe moving different directions.we're looking ideally for those whose dominants match ours right? do you mean 1st M or 2nd? hmm either way with both no not intense and we had a lot in common altho with the 1st M. there was a strong emotional bonding. how funny to stumble across opposite dominants! i want to check to see if there are those too! btw, Vapor are you overly mutable, as in almost nothing but? you know the mode attraction cycle? cardinal-->fixed-->mutable-->cardinal. so those fixed signs have your number! Wow, according to Astro my strongest plantet is Venus(Leo) followed by Saturn (Libra) and Mercury (Gemini).My strongest signs are Libra, Sagitarious and Gemini.
Dominant element: air
Dominant mode: mutable Most partners have had a heavy air/fire influence. My two most meaningful partners were air/fire or air/earth combination. Despite my sun sign being in cancer, water is, apparently my weakest element, which I think it's pretty odd. IP: Logged |

Lonake, I have the Scorpio as one of my dominants, which is ruled by Mars traditionally, so I think that might explain some of the attraction to those other people that are strongly influenced by Mars. IP: Logged |

meta_4 a very interesting post and thanks for sharing this. i use astro.com, but i've never used this part of it. i'm not surprised i have a lot of air in me despite being a sun water sign. i am one of those borderline birthdays between gemini and cancer. i can see with this chart why i feel so much at home with guy #1. it's like we're very much alike but then we're noticeably different in certain ways. our charts seem to be almost the same save the part about me being air/cardinal and him being water/fixed. it's funny how his sun sign is air but my sun sign is water but then my chart is dominated by air and his by water. i can feel this similarity and difference between us. me
