so the eclipse this january is going to be at 25* capricorn..My natal moon is at 20* capricorn. Is this orb close enough to affect me in some profound way? By the way my moon is in the 8th house so the eclipse is on my 2nd 8th house axis. How might this play out for me? My nnode is also at 28* capricorn but in my 9th house. Any thoughts? Yes, it's definitely close enough. It will most likely affect women, family and home issues. Since it's in the 8th, it will most likely affect these things in connection with other people's money and other 8th issues. The eclipse of your NN, exact will probably be felt in regard to higher education, publishing, in-laws (if you're married) and spirituality. You may have a revelation in this area that changes your drive in life relating to these things. It's opposite your SN in 3rd so you may leave your neighborhood, possibly on a far trip, or you could have issues with siblings or neighbors, short-term travel, etc. A lot also depends on which houses have cancer and capricorn on the cusp and where your natal moon and saturn are located. I thought eclipses could only be felt within 2 degrees.In any case, it will conjunct my Eros which is at 24 Cap  IP: Logged |

No, it's more like 5 degrees. A lot of astrologers are starting to think the orbs can be pretty wide based on data. Celeste Teal says this in her book, at least i think it was her, but I know I read it somewhere. I'm not sure how it affects asteroids. I know someone who had one on their karma and also jupiter and it did affect them somewhat adversely, but that may be more the jupiter. I would think there would be something felt with an asteroid, but not as strong as an angle or personal planet. your eros is really pretty close to my MC.  IP: Logged |

From what I have seen, orbs for eclipses are pretty wide. Just think about how emotional we start to feel even 1 week before an eclipse. IP: Logged |

this year in july on my birthday there was a solar eclipse in my 10th house on my 12th house ruler my sun and mercury my 12th and 10th house rulers.
I lost my job because of something they thought i kept hidden from them which was my name change.
I knew it was going to happen from exactly 1 month before the eclipse.------------------

Yes mercurian. I think your moon have an effect even if it out of orb. It triggs from the other massive 20 degree transit. IP: Logged |

I don`t think a 5 degree orb on its own is all that effective. But you have to consider everything else that is going on. It is never about one aspect alone, you have to see the overall theme, the pattern.In your case I would say the fact that the ecclipse hits the midpoint (by 1 degree) of your Moon and NN is VERY significant and will draw Moon and NN definitely into this transit. ok just some feedback.
Eclipse will be in my 9th house and i am going australia to turkey again! Just for fun and spend some time with my cousin.
The eclipse isnt until another month so i guess it does start to effect 1 month before. I just decided it today that i will be going. ------------------
