lets say i had a pretty strong incident happen. lets say i took a verbal hit or slap in the face, and it is really devestating and hurtful. or i had a fantastic day, lets say a marriage proposal or a large gift of money, or a new job that pays alot. how would someone use the ephemeris? when i look at the ephemeris, it is confusing, because i dont know how to use it.
can someone explain to me (and maybe it can help others) how to use it?
and which ephemeris is most commonly used?

Reading the ephemeris is no different from looking at a transit chart for a given day.

Just tells you where the planets are/were/will be in the sky.
Say you get a new job, bring your natal chart out, and then look up the ephemeris, writing down where the planets are when you got the job (planet positions from the ephemeris) and then compare the transits to your current natal.

Like Nine says, no different to looking at transits.
