Tell me about your NN & SN conjunction experiences. Good, bad, ugly, dirty-- you name it. Heck they don't even have to be conjunctions (though that would be preferable)!

I've been trying to look up NN & SN info on the 'net and there's nothing. So i figured i'd ask you lovely Knowflakes, because experiencing an aspect and sharing your feelings about it gives much greater insight than any stale page could.

Tah!

My wife and I have a North Node conjunct VALENTINE double whammy. We have been married nearly 4 years now inspite of having more than 10 very negative planetary aspects in synastry.
I feel this placement strengthens love amongst karmic soulmates and helps them eventually become loving + karmic soulmates.

My mum`s Saturn is exactly conjunct my dad`s SN; they have been married for more than 35 years now.
She is also the "grown up" of them both, at least that is how she sees themselves; (well, he is Aquarius and she is Scorpio); sometimes it adds pressure on both of them.
But there is a great sense of security and responsibility for each other and for the family. A definite glue is there.
They are in no way a "detached couple". As a matter of fact they are still holding hands.

They have some more romantic aspects, too, of course. Like his Moon in Taurus opposing her Scorpio - Sun by 1 degree. Or her Venus exactly conjunct his ASC (and Saturn).

A guy I was in love with but only dated briefly had his Mars conjunct my SN and my Venus conjunct his NN.

And a dumb "ex" (the same one I talked about in the 12th House Composite thread) has his Moon conjunct my SN.

my twin and i have these NN/SN aspects:

his saturn opp my moon/venus/saturn/NN 0-2'
his NN square my sun and trine my eros 0'/1'
my NN opp his neptune 2' trine his pluto 2' square his chiron 1' and conjunct his eros 4'.

I have no idea about the others but the SN cj his saturn is pretty binding!

Saturn on the SN gets such a bad rep, yet it seems to be pretty frequent.

I know it is no proof of anything, but I have that with Jude, too. My SAturn exact on his SN.
Always puzzled me. Maybe I am just too familiar with the Saturn-SN energy, since my parents have the same one?

This only shows that you cannot base the judgement of a synastry on one aspect alone.

I think a Node-Saturn conjunction may add some glue, for better or worse, but it doesn`t tell you anything about the amount of happiness or love or the lack thereof. For this you would have to look at other aspects to the personal planets mainly.

I'd think that SN conjunct Saturn gives familiar feelings (just like a typical SN conjunction does), making the SN person feel at home with Saturn's person's seriousness. NN might let Saturn to deal with the serious stuffs, while Saturn would gladly do it and feel appreciated and safe.

My bf's Sun falls in my SN, and my Uranus falls in his SN. I'm not sure if it's coz of these aspects, but we felt some kind of familiarity when we first met.

I agree with DD, coz each aspect only tells a part of the story.

But well, maybe NN/Saturn conjunction can be harsh for the couple, since the Saturn person might kinda force the NN person to go to the NN lesson? It's like, we have to deal with our lessons in order to reach our NN, yet Saturn might not allow us to rest in our comfy SN couch lol.

iQ, Valentine/NN conjunction DW is beautiful, as if it says that you are both fated to be with each other romantically. ^_^

By the way, what about Valentine/SN conjunctions? Do you think that it indicates past life lovers? Yet it doesn't necessarily mean that romance will happen in this lifetime like Valentine/NN conjunction does, right?

Thats what i mean - saturn/NN conjunct is harsh. I had it DW.

Saturn/SN is just beautiful and completely the opposite experience!

Well, Lara, I am not sure that this positive experience is all ONLY because of Saturn-SN. Don`t forget you also have otherwise amazing synastry!"

My Aqua and I have a double whammy NN/SN axis and DSC/ASC axis conjunction. His NN is conjunct my DSC, and his SN is conjunct my ASC within an orb of about (1). My NN is widely conjunct his ASC and my SN is conjunct his DSC with an orb of (4).

I think it made us somewhat fated to meet, and I have had past life dreams and recollections about shared lives. Prior to meeting him, this did not happen to me. We also have had some telepathic experiences.

True DD but i'm so happy to have no NN on my saturn/NN.

Remember that for me it's common cos of my saturn/NN exact conjunct that also conjuncts my moon/venus so its too much for me when saturn or NN presses that directly!

Personally, I despise anything on my sn. I have it conjunct my asc in leo. As a pisces w/cap moon, i prefer my nn in aqua, it seems. I have a lot of family members who have planets conj my sn and I don't have good relations with them.

I also don't understand why saturn conj someone's sn is bad, won't saturn actually restrict the sn behaviour? I guess I associate that with some sort of unwillingness to grow. I did have that aspect with someone, my saturn on their sn, I scared them to death. The person was very invested in gemini ways of relating (venus conj. gem sn).

I should add that my saturn conj their sn and loosely conj their venus and that may also be why I scared them off.

Lara,

with that huge stellium there it is very understandable that it can get too much.

My Mom's Sun and Mercury is conjunct my South Node and my Mars is conjunct her's. I don't know what house this is for her, but it's in my First House. Also our NN's are conjunct. I always felt like I needed to run away from home. Also, I felt like I was the parent and even now she seems to drain my energy. We don't fight and get along pretty well. She just drains me and I don't feel like she listens to me.

My Ex has her NN conjunct my moon in my seventh house and her Saturn is conjunct my SN in my First house. Also, my Saturn is conjunct her SN. I always felt kind of like a child around her. Instead of being a relationship of equals, the relationship had a maternal feel to it. Eventually if began to feel too stifling for me and I emotionally withdrew. And she wanted me to grow up, but at the same time wouldn't let me.

My current relationship her NN is conjunct my MC and Jupiter in my 10th house and her 6th house. We have alot of fun together. She is extremely interested in my career and almost seems more proud of my achievements than I am. Her moon is in the same sign as my NN, but not conjunct. So there is a slight motherly feel, but it doesn't feel at all smothering. It's comforting more than anything. But this might be because our moons are sextile.

My mom and I have reversed NN/SN's and she has Venus on her NN, which puts it on my SN (and my Jupiter squares both axis). I feel like I'm trapped into being married with her. She refuses to function by herself (Libra SN) and the more she smothers me, the more I want to be alone (Aries SN). It's a pain.

The Good -

My Venus/NN conjunction conjunct His NN - this is very heart-warming. I can definitely help this person relax and take it easy, at times.

My Sun/Her NN conjunction in Aries - I felt she had very low self-esteem although she's an awesome friend and she has several reasons to be confident. I often pointed this out to her and tried to build her confidence, but I'm not sure it changed things much.

The Bad -

His Mars conjunct My Venus&NN - Way too much of something! He was too aggressive and we had lots of problems. He was often trying to change me in a manner I found "forceful". He was also extremely jealous and theatrical about it.

Meta - this is a good site with more information on the Nodes! I find it more original than the average node-site, although it doesn't have synastry aspects.

Cafeastrology has some node-synastry:
