I read an analysis that you did for jacque re. her SR. your explanations were very logical and easy to understand. You helped me understand a little bit more about SRs. I am a brand new student of astrology and am still trying to understand things. You made astrology look a little easier to me. Thank you.IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree, the explanation was great: logical and easy to follow.Only problem is that there is a range of possible expressions for every aspect, so we can`t REALLY say for certain, when something specific definitely and without exception WILL happen. If that was possible, I guess, everyone would have the ruler of 7th house and 1st house conjunct at the time of their marriage or at the time of forming a committed relationship(as 1st house represents the Self and 7th house the partner).

DD, I agree that aspects pan out in different ways depending on how a person reacts to the circumstances. But to newbies like me just a simple logic about how to calculate and use the most basic of aspect meanings helps a great deal in understanding the nuances of astrology. I thank everybody on this site, they have nothing but the utmost of patience for amateurs like me. Pl. keep up the good work.IP: Logged |

Rajin, yes, I agree, and Coffee had found a very clear way to explain it. I absolutely agree with him. I just fear that some could use that system in a maybe too fatalistic and determinative way. Even though I admit it is hard to find a balance here, cause of course astrology IS determinative per definition. Pire,
I like your humour. IP: Logged |

DD, no. You can never fully say for certain when something WILL happen, as you say. Astrology will only give the best time when something SHOULD happen.I have been eternally single. When I (Aqua rising) have Uranus in aspect to Sun and/or Sun in aspect to Uranus, I dont get into a relationship at all or dont get married. If the heavens say something is likely to happen and the universe doesnt want it to, nothing will happen. Vesta, the soulmate bit is around here somewhere. Done it twice now, at least. In short: Using house rulers 11 and 7, find a point when the (transiting) slower moving planet is together (conjunct) with the (natal) faster moving planet. Some with the reverse, fastest planet on slower one too.
I got Jupiter ruling 11th with Sun ruling 7th. So, I look to a time when Jupiter was conjunct my Sun and then Sun conjunct Jupiter. Jupiter travels round the zodiac every 12 years. With natal Jupiter at 23 Virgo and natal Sun at 2 Libra, I can look at September borns (When t.Sun will conjunct n.Jupiter) every 12 years. Same age, 12 years older, 12 years younger. Taurus rising is the only sign which will take an age for the planets to get round and conjunct due to Neptune ruling 11th and Pluto ruling 7th. Still, with that you can get best fit. Once you get the hang of how I do astrology, it will be easy to apply. Might not be right, but you never know. IP: Logged |

I have already voiced my scepticism towards this system, but everyone has to try it out on their own.According to this system, I am probably "lucky", as my 11th house ruler is Venus (in equal system) and my 7th ruler is Mercury. So plenty of opportunities apparently... Oh and I agree with most of what you wrote to me. I think that astrology will accurately reflect what is happening; but that we can`t always foretell what WILL happen in advance. We can only tell what is likely to happen, or what event would fit the symbolism of a certain constellation at a certain time. But still the symbolism in astrology is so multilayered, though not arbitrary, that it is difficult to really foretell specific events.

Lovely Belgz, no. A link between transit 7th to natal 11th ruler, or transit 11th to natal 7th ruler will bring up events related to them houses. Why I use 11th and 7th? 7th is partner, in your chart. 11th in your chart is the 5th house (from the 7th) of your partner, which will show when your partner (7th) is born (5th) It exactly like predicting birth, but instead of predicting for a child, a younger brother, or younger cousin, you do it for a partner. You can do this for anyone. You can do it for a friend to see when an ideal friend was born. I would recommend attempting with your parents, it should work (IC/MC) IP: Logged |

Well, you said that whenever the 11th house ruler and 7th house ruler are conjunct, while one is a transiting planet and one is a natal one (I hope I got that right), that a meeting with a soulmate is likely to occur. You also said that we should mainly look at the slower planet transiting over the faster one. So most of the times Venus will be slower than Mercury, so everytime Tr-Venus will be conjunct my Mercury it`s "soulmate-time" for me? Well, I guess this time is approaching again, as my MErcury is on 25 Sagittarius. IP: Logged |
