Hi, i was marsconjunctmercury, and i have to post under my friends name now because the mod's CAN'T BE BOTHERED to register my account. It's been 4 days now. My new name is Predominantlyfire.

Now. It's ok if you ARE the person with natal Venus because you have no feelings to hurt in the first place. So you're inpenetrable. Ok we all accept and agree with that.
But for the rest of creatures - getting involved with you is like getting to know a cold fish. A changeable, surface-dwelling, superficial, duplicitous, lying, fish. Honestly this position sucks, bigtime. Few people have escaped this phenomenon except those themselves with this placing.
You're the ice kings and queens of this world. My last example of this had Moon in Capricorn too(i know!) which increased their coldness, and therefore my bitterness, but i can recall so many over the years. The only ones that seem to turn me over always have this Venus. I don't know how anyone can deal with it, unless you don't care about them either. The only one that never got to me was one i went off of after a few months, but when i was into her she did play around with me. Thank goodness i got to shaft at least one of these stupid bitches. I would say this position is one to avoid and give it 1 out of 10.
Next time i see Venus in Gemini in someone new i'm going to play them like they were a game of chess. Actually i'm going to play them like a banjo.

Predominantlyfire,

I am very sorry you got burned by all those Gemini venuses. I don't have a Gemini Venus. However, my Sun, Mercury and Mars are all in Gemini, so I may be able to shed some light. I also have a Capricorn Moon....a notoriously "cold" placement.

You'll get angry, but the truth is you just got fooled by the Gemini venuses yet again. Don't feel bad though; it's a common mistake. Most people think Geminis are so emotionally-detached to the point where it seems like they have absolutely no feelings. This is FAR from the truth. They feel deeply like any other sign. The difference is that someone with a Gemini Venus shuns any signs of clinginess. They do not tolerate anyone who demands to be the center of the Gemini Venus' world without "proving" they are worth it. They don't like people who get too emotional too soon because they think these people are too "babyish." This feeling would intensify with a Capricorn moon placement.

However, if you keep them intellectually stimulated and GRADUALLY show more of your emotional side, you'll keep them hooked forever. They are like any other kind of people; they crave an emotional connection. The difference is that since they value logic and reason so much, they are afraid of emotions. This is why they distance themselves from others.

They are terribly afraid of getting hurt. Putting your heart on the line makes you vulnerable and they are painfully aware of this. As a result, they consciously or subconsciously behave in a way to hurt others. Is this immature and cruel? Yes. But this is the way they behave until they mature. In general, I would try the older (30+) individuals with Venus in Gemini. It takes time to mature emotionally with this placement.

To win over someone with Venus in Gemini, you have to earn their trust and this can be a major challenge! To do this, you must prove to be reliable, provide intellectual stimulation and gradually show your emotional side. Ease them into the relationship. Don't bombard them with a bunch of emotion at once. This is equivalent to throwing them into an icy pond.

Also, do not control them. They want freedom, so if you suffocate them, they will leave you immediately. If you want them to do something, ASK! Make them feel like they are the ones in control of their lives. Let them make their own decisions.

Sorry nothing about the Gem Venus, but the Cappy Moon???? My son is the sweetest, most affectionate creature I know, who shares many, many personal things with me.

*but he is scorp sun/asc*

Although now that I think about it, he's a bit slow to come around, you need to be around him for awhile, probably a year or more to really see his heart. Ah, well, ignore me, I'm his Momma, of course he is perfect.

Now that i think about it the only real othger Gemini Venus who hurt me ALSO had Moon in Capricorn. Maybe it's that i should have slagged off? Having 4 planets in Sagittarius kind of makes Venus in Gemini my natural partner lol.
Moon in Capricorn BLOWS. I'm going to ruin the next person i meet with it.

LOL.

Ok, first off, moon in Capricorn is extremely loyal. I have this placement and I would do anything for a good friend. The problem with this placement is that it makes the individual have a hard time expressing their emotions and dealing with emotional people.

I have this placement and I'm not known for giving my friends and family tons of hugs. i show how much I care by helping them and being reliable. Once I consider someone a friend, I will listen to every emotional story and do my best to solve any of their problems. When asked, I give them objective advice.

I get the feeling that others don't think I care at all about them, but the truth is I care A LOT. Moon in Capricorn people love very deeply, so they are very selective about who they care about. It can take me years to truly trust someone, so perhaps these individuals that have burned you just haven't learned to trust you yet. This doesn't mean you aren't a trustworthy person; it just means they don't know whether they want to trust you yet. Once they trust you, they'll move mountains for you.

Moon in Capricorn people don't like making decisions until they are absolutely sure. They aren't the sort of people that leap before they look; they need something tangible to stand on. They crave security above all else.

Takes two to tango. It's not just THEM, it is also YOU and how you deal. Which is why I mostly ignore love posts unless it's to talk about synastry because otherwise it's just a bunch of posts bashing innocent placements.

Whoa! Whatever stereotypes that you see in Gemini Venus, is not true for all. Look at aspects and house placement, please, before generalizing.
I have Gemini Venus in the 7th and opposite Saturn and Uranus, and I stand clear of superficiality, in fact I really don't relate to my Venus at all, so maybe I'm not the best at defending this placement, but I just gotta say not all of us are superficial a-holes who need constant stimualtion.

Belgz, you ruin or play the next Venus in Gemini, you will be making a mistake.
On count 1 for attributing a small, and it seems, insignificant natal placement in astrology to these people you mention.

On count 2 for turning into them. These women (and even Men) who mess you around will have something wrong with them in most cases. I guess they have bad lives and dont realise it, so decide to mess with other people, because they have no life.
No harm in expressing anger, but dont be one step away from turning into one of them.

Geminis can show them traits, so you may have been around a few with major planets in Gemini.

Oh, and some advice....you have lots of planets in Sagittarius? Stay away from Geminis. As in Sun in Gemini. Stay away from Taurus and Cancer. Maybe a few others too. If you have all them planets in Sag, Go for a Sagittarius!

OK belgz, I LOLLED at your post.

I have Venus in Gem (and Mars, and Sun and Merc). I'm not cold at all, maybe a little remote and when I do fall in love, I fall really hard (which doesn't happen often, I admit).
My falling hard might have something to do with my very strong Pisces moon so I can't say what would have happened had I had a different moon.

Was the sex at least any good?

hi Predominantlyfire,

i have venus in gemini and moon in gemini both in the 10th house. let me try to be objective here and try to see the behavior of what you're seeing in a venus in gemini...

in terms of being cold. i can understand being seemingly cold because i know i like to keep things light and neutral. it's not like i don't feel tremendously it's just the pressure of the feelings makes me go backwards and just want to keep things on the surface. my first reaction when someone shows a lot of emotion is to recoil or retract a little bit. i think i intellectualize my feelings a lot. i can't seem to just feel. i have to write it down or keep it to myself mostly.

i do know if i am being cold or emotionless, it's because i don't know where i stand. if i don't know where i stand with someone, i'm going to be as neutral or as indifferent as i possibly can be. i am a very sensitive person (cancer sun) not only with my own feelings but sensitive towards how others may be feeling as well. if i sense that my showing emotion towards someone may make them uncomfortable or that it's not welcomed in any way, then i become cold.

i don't like to deal with bad feelings of any sort so i just act neutral. i'm okay with putting the bad feelings aside and just moving forward.

but i must say that any cold behavior i may demonstrate is 100% tied to my confusion of how someone feels about me. like i don't trust that they feel the same way about me as i do them. you have to be literal with me with your feelings. i'm really good at being psychic and figuring things out without words, but i can't say i like to rely solely on the unsaid. it makes me terribly insecure and thus cold with people. so in order to prevent any future bad vibes and bad feelings, i just keep a cool exterior so all parties are spared uncomfortable feelings.

I've had Lots and Lots of experience with geminis. Married a double gemini only to divorce him because my best friend in the whole world(since junior high school!), who just happened to be Another double gemini had an affair with him in my house that lasted months! And this isn't all. Sadly there have been more. This is my LEAST favorite sign of the zodiac and not just because they are immoral and treacherous, it's the disgustingly shallow and surface dwelling nature that predominently fire mentioned, Yes even the nonhuman part. When someone is that cold and superficial they seem almost souless to others no matter the candycoating, pathological lies they may utter to the contrary.

I have venus in gemini. I'm not feel me cold. I have to easy to be in love. In my longterm relationship it also have be a problem for me. I have never been unfaitful but for me the love feelings for other people is troublesome. Maybe my feelings have an negativ effect on my relationship and the men feel it intuitivt. I don't know.

I have so easy to be in love . I don't know I really dare move togheter with someone anymore, just because that. I want, but I'm not sure I dare it.

Maybe men think me cold and non-human because that but I'm not. No man told me so either. I think the most of the time I hurt my self most.

I also have venus/NN/mars and many asteroider in tight conj.

I don't have Venus in Gemini, but I have sun/moon/mercury in Gemini, and all falling in Capricorn's Tenth house.

I am faithful and loyal to a fault, and have never heard of Gemini's being cold. Maybe flighty and superficial, but not cold.
My experiences with cold people have been with mainly Aqua Venus, now that's ice!

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with this Gemini Venus. Hopefully one day, one will come around and change your mind.
