After reading an interpretation of this in it's transit form, i realised just what's been going on the last year. I have worked hard since my last solar return 2008/2009. Saturn was tight conjunct my S.R ascendent in Virgo, and it has been nose to the grindstone time. A productive period, following some horrendous gambling losses the previous couple of years. And i mean big. This happened at the time Saturn was transiting my second natal house as seen from my ascendent Cancer.
The othewr side to me the last 2 years really was to slip from a real fitness addict to somewhat of a nightly alcoholic, and even started smoking the last 3 months. Since i'm a 4 planet Sagittarian aspects to transiting (not natal) Jupiter effect me alot. The Neptunian one has resulted in escapism to a high degree, and a somewhat unrealistic approach to one particular relationship. Alot of giving on my part, and basically allowing myself to be used in various ways. The aspect formed by Venus to these other 2 that has been applying for several days, i see as a good turning point, albeit along with a Mars opposition. Mars is exactly conjunct my natal Moon in Leo hence some of my more extreme reactions to things lately.
I'm looking forward to Jupiters move into Pisces and into my 4th solar house. Perhaps my domestic set up and general emotional well-being will improve in the next year.
How has Neptune's closeness to Jupiter effected you?

First,

I admire your honesty.

I am only 2 weeks younger than you, and the Jupiter-Neptune-conjunction is sextile my Sun and Mercury on 25 Sagittarius.
How did it influence me?

It is hard to tell, I can say that I have had a very interesting dream-life as well as some intuitive experiences.

Interestingly, there has been a major change in my physical life, too.
I have been very very neglecting of my physical being, and it was in this year that I finally used the brake I intended to use for some years now.
This "change" made me lose about 20 kilos since july / august, which is a very good start.
It coincided with the Transiting Saturn squaring my Sun (and Mercury) and Transiting Uranus squaring my Sun (and MErcury). I guess there was no way I would stay unaffacted by this.

I'm waiting for the Pisces transit as well.
My Jupiter + MC are in early Pisces.
And I'm even more excited about 2010!! It finally moves into Aries.

I'm hoping something good happens. I definitely have not had a good year, so *fingers crossed* for the next two yrs.

Sorry to hear the Jupiter/Neptune affected you in such a negative way.. strange, I never spoke to you much but I do remember you posting pics and being very proud of your fitness. I couldn't picture this new "you". Sorry about my post & the whole "you do take care of yourself etc" on the other thread.. I hadn't seen this thread at the time.

You know - anyhow - I'm sure it's a "wheel keeps turning" situation & you'll be back to your fighting-fit-self. You seem like a person who doesn't get depressed easily.

Well they've been hovering over my Sun/Mercury conjunction (Mercury is my chart ruler) and Neptune has made me less focused on mental work, and more intuitive (I've even lost some of my wittiness which sucks royally). Also I've noticed since Jupiter has joined Neptune, I've gone up a pants size even though I haven't gained any lbs really. NONE OF MY PANTS FIT. I don't really even look fat, the only noticeable difference is that my pants dont fit. UGH.

PF,

Like you I have pretty much in Sagittarius, actually I have Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune, NN and ASC there, Moon in Aquarius and Venus in your disliked Capricorn.

So where comes the weight from?

Maybe Moon in 2nd house in Placidus system?
Maybe Pluto squaring Venus?
Or probably it is Jupiter in unlimited Pisces, squaring ASC and Neptune.

No idea really.

lol - not sure DD. I am pretty boney - Moon/Mars/Neptune in Capricorn. My ex (Moon/Asc Cap) - also kind of "boney".

But I do know a person with 3 planets in Cap who is very overweight.
Oh and my other ex (Capricorn Mars and Sun in Sag like yourself - moon aries/asc leo) - boney again! lol

Well, maybe it is not the sign placements alone, but maybe certain aspects figure in. I don`t know for sure though. I once read that Moon or Venus in the 2nd house in challenging aspects could indicate eating issues in women. No clue if that is true.

That's a possibility.. Venus in the 2nd = a sweet tooth right? It would make sense.

Maybe Venus in Taurus & Libra are also likely candidates.
My mum (leo sun & merc/gemini moon/libra venus/scorp mars) has a very fluctuating weight (sometimes thin, sometimes not), but more often than not, she is a little over..
I usually attribute this to her Libra Venus. She lovessssss chocolate & all things sweet.

I've never had a sweet tooth myself. I've always preferred salty foods - not sure why, even as a child..

The Jupiter square Asc is also a possibility. Jupiter expands what it touches or gives you too much of a good thing. My mum's Jupiter is in Gemini and it *may* be squaring her Asc. We don't know the exact degree of her Virgo asc.

Venus in Libra won't make you fat. The person needs earth. Earth people have more of a chemical in their body that tells the body to store fat. I have basically none of this chemical because i have no earth. I have learned this over years of studying peoples charts and looking at their carcus's.
People think fat people are fat because they eat more. That's boll*cks. It's simply down to this one chemical. I'd love to prove it one day. I eat like a horse, and booze every night, and do no exercise at all, and my weight never goes up.

WEll, I AM overweight because I have eaten too much of the wrong stuff. Believe me.

And even though it is true, that some people can eat more than others without gaining weight, I don`t think this is true for the extreme ends of the scale.

But I agree that earth probably would give such an inclination to store more than other elements.

I remember reading in Sun or Love signs I think that 'an afflicted Mars position, i.e. Taurus' (words to that effect) would cause a tendency to pile on the pounds. Well let me tell you it's unfortunately true in my case. I only have to look at a piece of chocolate! ;D

Okay genius man, SPILL!!!!!!

I have Mars in Taurus/2nd & I have to literally kill myself with exercise to lose weight. Oddly enough making muscle is very easy, just not losing the weight. I want to know the secret.

Save the fat people Adam! And before any of you start bitchin', I am the fat people.

lol Well honestly, I eat a lot (not huge amounts) but I don't really watch what I eat, and I don't put on weight.
So where is this protein??

I always thought Capricorn meant that my weight is very constant. I've had the same weight for maybe 7 years now (I'm 23) & I do not work-out specifically to maintain my weight.
I do swim a lot, because I enjoy it.
But I am no gym-person.

The thing is I have so much nervous energy I can't sit still. On the bright side it probably helps with the weight.

But I get frustrated easily. Even sitting down, I'm the person balancing on their seat or tapping my foot or my hand or something. I just can't help it. I've noticed this with other Aries-influenced people (and sometimes Gemini).
I think it becomes highly annoying for everyone around me lol I get the "grrrrrrrr stop moving dammit!!!"

Yes - I'm much like a very annoying fly.

Anyhoo - DD - as long as you're happy with your weight, pfffffffffft who cares?

If you are unhappy with it then I strongly suggest swimming, because it's easy, enjoyable and I'm positive you'll lose it in no time.

and Spanky - I would suggest the same thing to you!

Vapor,

I was just using myself as an example, as I know myself better than some strangers on TV. But I didn`t mean to sound whiney in any way.
Actually I know that it is not really about the fat.
In my case it is psychological. And when I started solving some psychological stuff, somehow the kilos seemed to fall away. Actually I didn`t even notice, until my scale said something about minus 10 kilo. lol

DD - Weight can definitely be very psychological.. When I'm sad/emotional or hurt by something, I can't eat. I shut-down. Everything shuts-down.

I can't chew and swallow.

I guess that's weird, but different people have different reactions. When I went through a rough time in my teens I was borderline anorexic, because I just couldn't eat.

I actually think your reaction is healthier. At least if you do eat, in a negative situation - your body receives some kind of comfort.
I don't know why I'm such a masochist about it. Is Cap Mars like this usually?

I don't know.. maybe it's something else in my chart.

yeah, i think that's probably true (earth = fat reserves). just basing it on myself, i have taurus moon and sun/merc/mars in the second and though i'm of 'average' weight i do have extra fat at the top of my thighs and upper arms. the thing is i eat about a third as much as the average (weighted) person , and i chase a kid around all day (hardly am NOT active), and yet i always hover around the same weight and never lose any (not that i'm trying to). most of my diet is very healthy and i don't each much starchy food, so in my case your theory holds (theoretically).

curious about the carcasses, i must say..

Yep Moon in Tuarus always puts on weight. They have cute body shapes, and pot bellies. My mother figure (my non-biological surrogate-style Scorpio mother) who looks after me and who i slept with and whose duaghter i slept with has Moon in Tuarus. She is so cute. I call her pigeon because she looks like a little pigeon. But recently i started calling her door-mouse. And years ago i used to call her porpoise

awww.. .

good thing us taurus moons are so placid and enjoy some good perverse physical humour. the odder the better, really, especially if it's something we can sink our teeth into, and allow the favour to be returned.

yikes i am not flirting with you MCM. you're just so darn weird and slightly creepy. good stuff.
