I thought it was interesting cause at the heart of this series is this thought that an Alien Race, a mixture of human and serpents, had been enslaving other planets for a long time, and those Aliens had been considered being "Gods" by those they had enslaved; and these (in the context of the series) were the same as the Egyptian Gods and even some Sumerian ones, too (Niirti and Baal played a bigger role then; especially in regard to genetic experiments).
In the later course of the series the people from earth, who had found the stargate, were searching for a weapon of Merlin and for Atlantis, a city remaining somewhere.

I thought the synchronicity was superb. Anyway during the summer I stopped watching that series, just to realize that I was actually missing watching it some weeks later!
Well, I was at least missing watching one of the lead characters, which came as a surprise.

anyway, I thought I would check the natal charts of Richard Dean Anderson, who played General O Neill, and Michael Shanks, who played Dr Jackson (who actually had found the Stargate) for interesting aspects.

It was just that Shanks was rummaging through my mind over christmas, and I had to find a way to get rid of him.

Of course I then discovered that we both have an Isis-Osiris-conjunction natally, which is on the rough solstice point of each other.
Which results in us having a close Isis-Osiris-conjunction in composite, which falls onto the solstice, 00 Capricorn. ROFL

Anyway, the Merlin-Jackson-link up in his chart just nearly knocked me off my feet. He basically BECOMES Merlin in his role as Jackson in one episode, and the asteroids depict that quite clearly.

I am a huge fan of Stargate SG1. Huge! And seeing as I know the series and have watched it over and over - and reading your astrological connections, I find it amazing!

It makes me think that MacGyver was not the ultimate tv role for Richard Dean Anderson, as many thought (and still think) when he took the role of O'Neil. When I first watched it, I knew nothing of reptilians and such, but watching it in the reruns lately I was floored at how the producers of the show were trying to communicate this idea. It is the same as when I watched Star Wars lately, I was floored at what was being communicated, how in our faces it was, etc.

Anyway, the asteroid connections that you found really proved what I always thought, that being: Stargate SG1 was Richard Dean Anderson's most well-suited role. The character he played was more three dimensional than the other who just bombed things. On Stargate SG1 was the story of a skeptic who through experience sees the other side of life (like all of us) - and the role made him into a cult classic figure-head, for us dorky Sci-fi freaks. And I am biased but I am team O'Neil. Maybe he was just as good on MacGyver but...

I have seen Richard Dean Anderson as Mc Gyver of course, and I liked him as a child, but it was somehow different.
I really thought it was about him, when I started watching Stargate.
But then during the summer I had to move in with my parents temporarily (I couldn`t stay alone at home, as after the death of a colleague I was getting severe anxiety attacks, and felt I had to make a cut) and couldn`t watch Stargate, but it wasn`t Col O Neill I missed seeing, which came as a complete surprise to me.

Another thing that fascinated me was how much their series is in tune with what I have been reading at that time here on the board, and I wondered if the authors had been hearing about these theories, too, and somehow built a series around it.

I had a look at the synastry with both, Shanks and Anderson (my synastry with them of course), and in Shank`s case it doesn`t look really impressive on a first glance, especially since his Moon and Angles are unknown.

But still I filtered some dominant configurations:

The main one is this one; both of us have a close aspect between Atlantis and True Node natally, in his case it is a trine, in my case it is the conjunction, and now look at the synastric configuration:

BTW I donīt want to be misunderstood on the issue of Mars-Pluto-squares.
I certainly donīt think they are "to-wish-for" dream-aspects. They can be the total horror actually.
But in the very least they are very intense and very very transformative.

Just usually the involved people will not like the transformation-process very much.

I don`t even remember what we agreed on in term of Mars-Pluto. What was less desireable, the square or the opposition? (I feel a slight inclination to prefer the opposition, just a little bit. But in this case I may easily be swayed)

his DNA is exact conjunct ATLANTIS and both are pretty close to the fixed star ARCTURUS, and my BABYLON is exactly conjunct ARCTURUS.

my NN and ATLANTIS are conjunct ANTARES (a very important star in Sumerian / Chaldaean astrology); his BAL (Babylonian God) is also there.
my SN and his PSYCHE are both conjunct ALDEBARAN (another important star in Sumerian astrology) and my ASTARTE (a form of Ishtar / Inanna) is there, too.

This of course means that my ASTARTE is opposing his BAL. An aspect between Astarte and Bal does pop up really frequently in my synastries, even with actors, as it is the case here.
really strange. Of course Astarte is exact conjunct my SN, so it makes sense I guess.

Maybe I encountered most of them, even though sometimes just fleetingly, in one or more past lives.
We meet so many people in our lives, maybe the synastry is just reflecting that.

In this case the synastry is not particularly strong, but this Psyche-Atlantis-NN-link up intrigued me quite a bit.

I still think for "real" connections tight conjunctions, oppositions or trines to ASC (karmic or lovey dovey asteroids / planets along with Sun, Moon and NN) will be necessary, along with all the other stuff.
